Hey everyone the names star I’m a big Gorillaz fan and my fav au is the Dynaswap au I even draw oc x cannon of them I tend to draw dynaswap Stuart x dynaswap Elli art and 2D x elli art I’m also a huge 2doc fan :3 I will probs post here some time soon just thought I’d introduce myself oh and Elli is the name of my Gorillaz OC hehe

About the Dynaswap Swap Au

I feel like the actual reason (some) people hated the Dynaswap Au back in it's heyday is due to the fact they can't handle a mean 2-D, I mean people were saying that 2-D was "acting like Murdoc" back in the Now Now era when he became cocky again due to Murdoc being away which kinda proves my point about people not handling a mean 2-D.

Like yeah they kept Stu's brain damage and made him the abuser but that isn't demonizing people with brain damage, it's called "Dynamic Swap Au" meaning the Dynamics are swapped, and he's swapped with Murdoc so..

The only point some people were mad at this Au for that I agree with is the fact they kept Russel being kidnapped because (in this Au) he's a kid which makes the whole getting kidnapped thing extremely more problematic but the creators did acknowledge and changed this.

There was some edgy stuff yes but that doesn't make the Au bad at all, besides the creators also acknowledged that as well.

I know this is basically an old discourse now but I just want to voice my opinion as a new fan myself who discovered this Au December of last year and just found out about the small drama around it. (I joined the fandom during the Now now era when the Au was still up and running but I didn't have Tumblr so I didn't know about it until now)
