I'm so glad colbie caillat came back to collab with @taylorswift when I was ~fifteen~ my mom amd stepdad got divorced and, even 7 years after first hearing it, that song got me through it and taught me that people change and love changes and that it's all survivable even when it feels like it isnt. 4. I feel like her husband is death, like kiss of death, and drinking her husband's wine could be like poison (honestly that gives me romeo and juliet vibes)

5. The imagery of winter and spring really make me feel like it could be about persephone and hades. Add in the fire and idea of her "husband"

The way she sings in evermore the sing is so haunting. Like she talks about "catching her death " from being barefoot in the cold and that speaks to how she felt unprepared for all the hell shes been through and truly thought it would overtake her but the hope of a simpler life, an unfailing companion, a best friend who wouldn't betray her trust kept her going and ultimately her own strength in finding that hope through all the hellishness. Its beautiful.

I cant get over how beautifully talented and creative @taylorswift is and I honestly dont think I ever will. The song "dorothea" gives me such Elton john vibes solely because of how classic I know it will be. This is a song that sounds timeless. The whole album really transcends the idea of a set time and creates this beautiful and direct attachment to musicmaking at its source. It feels like, as consumers of art, this is as close as we could possibly get to the process without being involved ourselves. Its raw and open and honest and it speaks to everyone who listens.

The music holds stories but more importantly it holds lessons. When I listen to "marjorie" I think about my grandmothers whom I adore more than anything and it reminds me of the value of life and its ability to be ripped from our hands and scattered into the wind. I think of all the people and pets I've lost and the way they truly affected me. Theres a lesson in that song about taking it all in, living in the moment, and holding on to the ones who matter to you. Its ethereal.

I'm just beyond impressed by the range of emotion and depth of creativity in this album and in folklore. No one else is doing that. Because no one else is @taylorswift .
