Has it feet like Water lilies?
Has it feathers like a Bird?
Is it brought from famous countries
Of which I have never heard?

Among the Crimson Roses- Chapter 13
The moment he’d decided to be in a relationship with her, Ted knew that that decision probably meant that they were going to be together for good. He was alright with that; he loved her so much at that point already. Their feelings for each other had only gotten deeper after that- he and Andromeda had already agreed that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, no matter what. And while Ted truly meant every word he’d said at that time, all of a sudden, his prior promises to both her and himself seemed hollow. It wasn’t just that he couldn’t imagine his future without Andromeda; there didn’t seem to be a point in having a future at all if she wasn’t there to experience it with him.
Why would he want to gaze at the night sky if the stars that illuminated it so beautifully were destined to be taken away for good?
“Ted?” Andromeda asked as she touched his face. “Are you alright?”
He grinned at her and pressed his mouth to hers again, trying to put all of his unsaid words into the kiss. “Yeah,” he said softly. “I just realized something important.”
Andromeda cocked her head to the side. “What is it?” she questioned, her curiosity evident.
He shook his head. “Don’t worry about it,” he answered. “It’s nothing that I didn’t already know. I’ll tell you another time.”
“You sure?”
“Positive.”
Before Andromeda could protest further, Ted readjusted the blankets around them and held her tighter, content to spend the next several hours professing his love to her in ways that words couldn’t ever truly express.
He wanted to be with her for forever, however long forever actually was.
