Chinese guardian lions are a common representation of the lion in imperial China. The concept was originated and became popular in Chinese Buddhism. The lions are always presented in pairs. The male lion has its right front paw on a type of cloth ball simply called an "embroidered ball". The female has a cub under the left paw, representing the cycle of life. According to feng shui, correct placement of the lions is important to ensure their beneficial effect. When looking at the entrance from outside the building, the male lion with the ball is on the right, and the female with the cub is on the left.

When it comes to watching the red autumn leaves in Beijing, the first place to go is #fragrant #hill .Fragrant #hill is on the east side of the West Mountain, northwest of Beijing. The hill is 20 kilometers away from the city, covered by smoke trees that turn dark red-purple after the frost, and its layer upon layer of peaks and knolls sit 577 meters above sea level. When the frost descends, tens of thousands of fields around Fragrant Hill look as red as fire. Seen from a distance, one would thought that the red were from sea of poppies, which are actually #maple #leaves . https://www.instagram.com/p/Bo2_xVug2CI/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=b8owms4kdpyt

The Bai people are the second largest #ethnic #minority of Yunan. The origin of this minority group is shrouded with mystery as historians have suggested that they are descendants from the ancient Ji population , while some have suggested that the Bai people may be the descendants of the Dai people, or Han Chinese, or even India's King Ashoka. Nevertheless, the ”diversity“ of this ethnic minority are what makes them special. Like what their name suggested, the Bai people are obsessed with white color unlike other Chinese ethnic groups in China. The Bai's were famous their "Tonghua", a woven cloth which was handed down from their ancestors 1,800 years ago. The #fabric and #embroidery used is delicate. Many pieces of Bai clothing will have a #camellia flower sewn on it. This flower symbolizes beauty. Today, Bai people wear bright clothing in coordinating colors. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bo2-xQ5AEcO/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1mimzs5udkx4p
