Got the opportunity to hold a solosis today, I said ‘Oh he feels like jello!’ and then his trainer said ‘shoot I forgot to water him’ and pulled out a spray bottle and spritzed the solosis. So I guess they’re supposed to feel like wet jello?

One of the more tedious parts of my job is convincing people to let their pokemon take medication. ‘but the family absol is doing fine, he warned my great grandma about the quake of 39!’ Okay well now the family absol is terrified of a leaf slightly moving so lets discuss anxiety meds

hey. i think you should quit your job and go spend the next few months/years checking as many things off your bucket list as possible and also tell all your pokémon and family and friends that you love them

Nearly everybody in the center fell over at the same time a couple days ago when we all got dizzy.. didn’t figure out what caused that other than ‘its not a gas leak’ but we guess it was probably a psychic type passing by. They can do that if they extend their power too far

My flareon keeps trying to get in the freezer and when she does, she won't come out until it's time to eat and then immediately goes back in, the house is 70 degrees, i don't think room temperature should be harming my flareon, is she sick and how can I help her?

Whenever fire types try to self-cool like this when their environment doesn’t suggest they would, its always worth taking them to the pokecenter immediately. Your flareon may be experiencing pyre syndrome, when the internal organs in a lot of fire types keeping them warm stop regulating properly and start overheating them. Symptoms of this usually include bizarre self cooling behaviors like this, feeling hotter to the touch than usual, and irregular breathing/panting

It’s not a death sentence and there are treatments for it, but it can leave long lasting damage if you don’t get your pokemon treated ASAP. I really hope thats not whats going on with your flareon anon, but better warned than sorry

I feel like theres a view (at least where I live) that pokemon trading is looked down on if it’s not a pokemon you just caught? Like, I hear a lot of whispering about ‘oh she had that pokemon for two years, how could she trade it away’ or something else and I’m gonna be honest, theres a lot of good reasons

I work at a pokemon center with a trade machine and I see a lot of trainers swapping pokemon after lifestyle changes specifically, sometimes the fearow you��ve battled with for four years doesn’t want to retire when you do. Or sometimes your psuedolegendary unexpectedly evolves and you can’t keep up with it and your 9-5! A majority of trades I see are ones that benefit pokemon and trainer too.. it sucks that we judge people for that

I technically cant tell patrons this to their faces but man I wish people would stop asking about life orbs. Like yes, we don’t have a pamphlet for that. We don’t have many resources on competitive battling in general. I can’t just give you my opinion on them either its a complex topic. We don’t do life orb authentication here either.. etc etc
