What if Trill were salamander-catfish critters with bioluminescent spots :)))) and the symbiotes looked like the intestine of those see through tadpoles or smth… i think trills would have evolved in semi-aquatic caves so their eyesight isnt so good, instead they use chemosensory organs/whiskers to see!
