Job Hunting

Hey y'all, I could use some prayers. I put my 2-week notice in at my job without having another job lined up. There were major disagreements between me and what my Bosses wanted from me out of the work. I'm hopeful about finding another job still, hopefully in the same field, but I am a bit worried as I didn't have an exit strategy in place.

small writing idea

I've gotten an Idea for a short Vampire Romance story, but I am unsure what time period to put them in??

A major plot point is that the Lady vampire keeps a rose garden (that's were the bodies are buried), and the Gentleman vampire thinks its a very fine garden.

the story format is still getting figured out, but I am thinking of doing a sort of 'Letters getting passed back and forth' that would have the story, or maybe doing what Dracula did where it combines different diary entries, letters, and news verticals to tell the story.

And while a Victorian or Edwardian setting does sorta of spring to mind, it could also be really funny to have them be able to use a Kubota tractor with a backhoe attachment to dig the holes for the bodies.

Winter In July

Turning off Anonymous Ask

I have to turn off the Anonymous Messages, nothing is so depressing as logging on to tumblr, seeing 8+ notes, and reading the same copy/pasted message with only a few word/emoji changes of "Palestine/And Or Gaza citizens" begging for money and re-blogs.

There are real people dying. And it's a hollow cold feeling that some bot is just churning these out with catchy emojis, while there are real pleas that we will never hear, never know about. And the more of these bot messages I get, the more I wonder how many genuine ask for help (if there are even any real ones on this site anymore) get buried under the sheer mass of bots.
