"Akutagawa. Are you afraid of the ocean?" Atsushi's eyes slid over to the man beside him. He was stiff as a board, but that didn't mean much nowadays. Always tense, always waiting.

There was a brief moment of silence before Akutagawa shook his head. "No," he said shortly, looking away from Atsushi to look out at the view.

"Oh." Atsushi turned to face forwards, out past the oedge with the sharp cliff dropped off into steel-like blue, the ridges and ripples of the waves shining with the weight of the Sun.

After a few seconds of silence, Akutagawa looked back and away from what had been mesmerizing him. "Does it scare you?"

Akutagawa was leaning on the railing. Atsushi could imagine that instead of a cliff, this was the edge of a boat, its bow curving slightly and high up from the water. He wanted to pull Akutagawa away, to take him and hide him and make sure that he was far away from anything... marine.

But ultimately, Atsushi refused to step any closer.

"Yes," he admitted.
