I withdrew my submition bc what the heck. I checked their site and the rules. Nowhere was it said it's for books. Apparently it seemed so obvious to them, that they didn't feel the need to include that information.

I submited a flash fiction story to a literary contest. It won't win but I hope I'll at least get some nice feedback. It's an open form contest, so everything goes, and the prize is veeery high, that's why I doubt my over 700 words short will get any place, that would be crazy. I now have a secret third blog where I will post stuff about writing so I won't shitpost too much on this one.

This contest is... for a whole fucking books. Unpublished. Books. Or full poems collection. Or full essays collection. Or a whole script. Or a whole comic. Or a whole whatever. Why wasn't this stated on their site? Or in the statute? Or anywhere? Why was it only mentioned in that one facebook post of them announcing the contest? Now I made a fool of myself. Great.

I sent them a mail and asked every way I could find. NO ANSWER.

Trying to get any help or information from Google (the business) is driving me insane. I want to ask them about renting a space that belongs to them. There is no contact to the place directly; there is no contact to Google Poland given. When asked, the support couldn't give me the contact, they said I have to fill out a form on the page (such form doesn't exist, but ok), and when I got into the depths of their webpage and found a chat, it was fucking AI, and there wasn't an option that I could choose in my specific situation.

I haven't been this uncomfortable in ages. I thought the sudden lack of my medication didn't have any side effects, turns out I had to wait, it kicked in after 3 days. It's not as bad as not taking ssri - not taking those made me shake in the first 24 hours. It's only until friday, I forgot to make an appointment and I ran out of my pills 🫢
