Welcome to the place where heros come to die
Where bright young hearts and vibrant sparks take up heavenly wings and fly
Here upon this battlefield, the good man breathes his last
Innocent eyes and confidence become things of the past
Welcome to the resting place of all your hopes and dreams
Where the dead man walking is all that's left, soul ripped apart at the seams
For right here on this battlefield, riddled with hurt and strife
Is where each brave soldier breathes their last and loses that spark of life
Many enter this battlefield, and all will leave it too
But no one ever stops to think what life truly does to you

Faithful and sturdy, kindhearted and strong
Loyalty is a trait used to string you along
Working like a dog, you slave in the mud
All for a chance to earn someone's love
Your kindness is taken, your good deeds received well
Only to be abandoned in your personal hell
So sit like a good dog, you know how this ends
They'll come back to get you when they need you again

I laugh and I joke and I smile and I grin
Holding all of my hurts hidden deep within
You may think that you know me, and that may be partially true
But you only know the me that I choose to show you
As I make all my jokes with the tears in my eyes
You stare at your phones and you believe all my lies
For in truth, I am a character who lives in your screen
And who I truly am remains hidden and unseen

My eyes, they can see through your second skin
The things you hide away, you bury deep within
They are not safe from my all seeing gaze
You lie to my face, thinking you're safe in your maze
You've created a labyrinth, walls high as they are strong
Thinking I could never peer in, but that assumption was wrong
For while you hide in your puzzle, shying away from my love
I watch you ever patiently from high up above

This feeling is poison. It burns through my soul.
The venom charges through me with one constant goal.
The toxin does spread, wrapping chains around my heart.
This feeling and I, we may never part.
This loneliness is acid, it's eating me away.
And at some point, this dreaded poison will have taken me away.

Allies and Partners
Siblings and Friends
Here's to the ones
Who have all met their ends
Here's to love lost
Here's to love won
Here's to our triumphs
And how far we have come
Here's to our fallen
The ones left behind
Who have joined the stars above
Now down on us they shine
Here's to life and victory
Here's to death and loss
Let us continue to press forward
But never forget the cost
Blood has been spilled
Lives have been taken
But the names of our fallen
Shall not be forsaken
Take courage my siblings
My allies
My friends
For we live on in their stead
And our fight has yet to end
(Inspired by @finleyforevermore 's poem in memory of Nex Benedict)

Thinking back to a time when nobody cared
When I knew my place and I wasn't scared
Missing the days when I was always ignored
When I could have disappeared and no one would mourn
Now people care, and I fear it won't last
That they'll all run away like the friends of the past
I wish things were just the way they used to be
Where I sat alone in my head, but at least I was free

Happy birthday @the-cucco-nuggie!! This is my gift to you! Hope you like it!
------
From hills to the valleys
From ashes to dust
What glittered was gold
But that gold's not for us
Time and again
Empires fall
Beginning to end
We've seen it all
The tide it is rising
To drag us away
But we're done agonizing
Over what we should say
Time and again
We've dodged death's call
But here now my friend
Is the end of it all
The skys falling again
As often it does
The weight of the world
has fallen on us
Time and again
We rise and we fall
But we have each other
To brave through it all
From hills to the valleys
From ashes to dust
What glittered was gold
But that gold's not for us
No glory, no fame
Just a battle to win
And we'll claim the victory
Time and again
----
(It's kinda vague but it's loz inspired lol)

Nothing stings more then the second time
What you claimed would never happen has happened again
Taken for granted, now left behind
Abandoned for love of an unloving friend

Born to die, but oh, weren't you beautiful? Born to fail, but weren't you lovely? Born to crash and burn, lighting up the night sky with your radiance. Born to end, as all things are, but before the end, you were magnificent.

Little lost soul
Drifting in the wind
Waiting for adventure
For life to begin
Small little soul
So curious and new
Unaware of the growing gap
Between them and what they knew
Lonely little soul
Floating on the breeze
Hoping someone will notice
And help them in their need
Little lost soul
Far away from home
Never knew it was their fate
To end up all alone

Running in circles
Torn at the seams
This mask that I wear
Is not what it seems
Though I look busy
Though I look whole
I have nothing to do
And nowhere to go
Do not compare us
For we are the same
Running in circles
In this cruel, endless game
Our hearts are both wilting
Our torch hardly burns
Minds always filled with constant concerns
Only look closer if you truly dare
For this old mask of mine is beginning to tear
And if you look closely
I'm afraid you will see
That I am like you
And you are just like me

Looking through my telescope at the starry sky
Comets on their journey speed to pass me by
But looking closer, I can see one coming straight my way
I'm glad a shooting star has deemed me good enough to stay
For @trippygalaxy, Merry Christmas <3 /p

Small red stars mar the surface of my skin
Little imperfections on the body that I'm in
Drawing little shapes, the pressure brings relief
For now, the stars protect me from the monsters in my sleep

Happiness grows where the sun doth shine.
My happiness grows, like flowers divine.
My joy, it grows in leaps and bounds.
My happiness lives where sunshine abounds.
Oh, happy day,
Oh, happy life,
Oh, joyous heart, free from all strife.
This love I will share, for it is mine, all mine.
My happiness grows where the sun doth shine.

Crystalline prison
We can see through each wall
Though we can not reach out
We watch others fall
Isolation together
In union, alone
The shrill cries for help
Chill us to the bone
We pound on our prison
A captive of fate
Dreading the worst
Help one minute too late
Calling out in the darkness
I see you, alone
But im trapped behind the glass of the screen of my phone.

Thoughts on your mind echo in space
You don't belong here, you're out of your place
Simply a bother, a burden to bear
They would be better if you weren't there
Too weak, too slow, too soft, too kind
Too exposed to the demons that rule over your mind
They lie to you, child, do not be deceived
Their words are deceitful, not to be believed
Come away from their false love, in the dark you should stay
No one could care for a monster anyway.
