Any beginners tips for someone with an Alolan Meowth who is. . .not totally used to pokemon with corporeal needs.
Make sure to keep its coin clean, they really care for that coin and can get rather mad if it gets dirty! Also keep in mind that they can be rather picky about their food, you may have to experiment with what works for yours some can have a rather rich palette. Alolan Meowths are also much easier to get dressed up than some other pokemon so if pokemon fashion is your thing that is definitely available. Do keep in mind that Alolan Meowths have a rather good metabolism so don't worry about the fact that it sleeps almost all day, that's just how they are. Good luck with the little guy, they can be great partners if you show them the love they deserve!

A scratching post is a great idea for Littens! If you get a Boltund as long as you take it on walks often and let it play with some toys you shouldn't have too much of an issue, if you give them a designated area for their toys they LOVE "herding" their toys to and from that spot.
What do you think of people that keep pokémon bred for "work" as pets? Like um boltund are meant to herd wooloo, if you keep one indoors it will try to herd your fragile objects. I think that as long as there's proper enrichment it's fine but the person could have just gotten a vivillon.

I think people will tend to gravitate to whatever pokemon they like the most, no matter what they were bred for haha
And if a pokemon has a trait that's for some reason really a problem, I think there are trainers that can help with that or find other venues for it
Like, one of my friends back in Alola had a Litten that liked to scratch up furniture (because it liked watching the wrestling Incineroar on TV lol) They got her a scratching post and never had that problem again
But that's just me, what do you think? :o

This! Its not uncommon for shellos owners to do that by mistake! Also keep in mind if you do bathe it to not press on them too hard, or else a VERY sticky purple mucus will come out and its rather hard to get out!
Tumblr media
look at this little guy i adopted he's so mad and stinky
i gave him a shower against his will because he smells but he name is Neptune
shellos are going to smell no matter what. they ooze smelly. but DO make sure you're not washing it with soap because that will fuck up the pores on its skin and irritate its little gills

Must know for Ratata owners
Ive seen many new Ratata owners not investing in chew toys , if you get a Ratata do not forget to get some hard chew toys, your Ratata needs to chew to stay healthy! If you do not get a chew toy for your Ratata it will chew on objects around your house.
Your local Pokemart should have plenty of chew toys avaliable for your Ratata at a fair price, Ratatas are lovely pokemon, they just need to chew!
