i tried to figure out a way to take a screenshot or two illustrating that but it was kinda difficult since i don't use poses or get too deep with dialogue or anything like that when i convey story. so it's supposed to be a little bit implied!

⭐ generation 2 is finally here!

percy dean has never known a world that he was allowed to explore on his own terms. being sheltered all his life by his paranoid mother reinforced to him that his very existence was something that put him at risk - but after discovering a secret bunker hidden underneath the crashed plane in his backyard, percy came to realize that the person who was supposed to protect him was the last person he could trust. three years have passed since percy uncovered josie's secret, and in that time, he has gone no-contact with her, and has been living with extended family in chestnut ridge, while he tries to figure out his place in the world. he's also been patiently waiting for christopher (his… best friend? boyfriend, maybe?) to return from university overseas, so that they can finally put their long distance relationship behind them. feeling like he finally has the freedom to make his own choices, percy is set on leaving his mother and his memories of his lonely childhood behind in that prison of a trailer, and ideally, never return to strangerville ever again. ...but despite his best intentions, and how hard he might try to suppress his curiosity, percy's mind does still wander toward the unknowns of the universe that he was born from, and whether he will ever have the answers that could bring him peace.

if you casually and regularily download sims 4 cc or anything else from curseforge while blissfully ignoring all the people telling you why it's wrong and why curseforge sucks ➤ all the info is out there and if it isn't enough to convince you to stop i don't know what else to tell you but to eat dirt.

if you are a cc creator who uploads cc on curseforge exclusively ➤ patreon, sfs and so many other file sharing websites exist that don't actively fund a genocide and/or are based in a genocidal country. if you 'can't' do the bare minimum of changing platforms because you favor that sweet curseforge revenue so much i don't know what else to tell you but to eat dirt.

if you are a cc creator (especially one with a huge following) who already has a patreon, sfs account or uploads cc on any other file sharing website BUT also puts their stuff on curseforge and aren't mentioning this on your other platforms ➤ i don't know what else to tell you but that you're a callous coward who should eat dirt.

if you are a cc creator who tries to get us to download your stuff on curseforge by directing us to your patreon first only for us to find a curseforge link to be the only option to download ➤ stop trying to trick people and at least have the balls to be upfront about the trash website you chose to upload your cc to. i don't know what else to tell you but to eat dirt.

visit @verycursedstuff for curseforge exclusive cc, there's no need to visit the curseforge website at all. avoid it like the plague. i know that boycotting absolutely everything is next to impossible but leaving curseforge in the dust to rot isn't. again the info is there and if it isn't enough to convince you to steer clear of this awful website i'm not sure what will tbfh.

it's genuinely horrific how many cc creators are still on curseforge and i'm not giving them the benefit of the doubt anymore that they somehow still don't know how morally fucked up it is to continue to utilize this website. they very likely know and simply don't give a shit in favor of monetization or are supportive of genocide.

obviously curseforge is a comparatively small part of the problem but that only makes it that much easier to avoid.

⭐ end of gen 1 dean outtakes!

gen 2 starts this coming week!! so here are the last of my gen 1 screenshots that never made it to the blog with some added lore. i posted one of these a while back when percy was still a baby so im due for another lmao. enjoy!!

so because of my specific cocktail of npc generation mods, josie's coworkers were all just Basic Premades, like im pretty sure josie's coworker loadout was like... eloise, eric lewis, juniper grove (more on her in a bit), nina caliente, and of course 👹eliza pancakes👹 who was literally josie's nemesis for some reason. these two HATED each other and by the end of the generation they were throwing hands every day at work lmfao

some percy content!!! love him sm. also a better view of the shared office space that he and josie used for work + school. it was cute but a routing nightmare bc it was inside the shipping container on top of the trailer and they had to like. use a ladder to get up there

so because i Do Too Much, i ended up almost fully decorating both christopher And charlotte's teenage bedrooms, even though charlotte's would never show up and christopher's would only show up once or twice. they're both a little sparse in some parts but cute. this also reminds me that i need to furnish some kind of living situation for charlotte bc i forgot i left her at their parents' house at the start of gen 2 ggggggggggggggggg

something that really set the tone for the last bit of gen 1 was actually josie's very good friend and coworker juniper passing away. she was actually josie's first friend at the start of the generation, and was her only other friend outside of eloise and erwin (who she drifted from after percy was born). i wish i could've worked her passing into the posts but i was crunching time to finish up and move on :/

as a chestnut ridge premade i like to think josie knew her since she was young and she was one of her only connections back home or something like that, if i had to go back and rework the generation with what i know now i probably would've done that.

but yeah. the grief absolutely contributed to josie's moodiness at the end. :(

i'm a very gameplay driven person, where the natural gameplay informs what story gets told on here if that makes sense? i wasn't sure what my goal was with christopher and percy's online friendship while i played, but when percy was going through his particularly difficult depressive episode, he got a phone invite from christopher that inspired me to drive the story in the direction where they would meet irl!

also pictured: christopher getting a crush on percy the Second they met irl LMFAO. he's been simping since day 1.

it took percy a little longer to officially get the crush trigger. i feel like that aligns w their characters pretty well though

ah yes josie's Going Off The Rails arc. i always knew i was gonna do something with the plane bunker but it took me a while to decide what it was gonna be.

when she started her midlife crisis, one of the first goals was to stash money in a safe, which gave me the idea to utilize the bunker for a money stash. and then i realized that someone as paranoid (and honestly traumatized) as josie would probably have some secrets to hide, and so that's how the story that closed out gen 1 cooked itself up. the bunker was actually quite cool lmao, it was like a secret office and skilling zone for josie in addition to housing the alien portal and Mother Plant memorabilia.

if i was more dedicated/confident in storytelling i probably would've like. planned it a bit better LOL

anyway in sillier news. when i got the notification that marie would be passing away soon i ended up spending an entire afternoon taking pictures of her with josie and percy so i'd have them for posterity's sake. here's my Organization Process LMFAO

speaking of marie and also the generation finale. percy actually first started his evening exploring the bunker by lighting a candle for her which was very sweet. what was less sweet was Ghost Marie running in and interrupting my Story Telling Process. LMFAO

🪐 a little update on my gen 2 gameplay plans, OSA, and the sims i was sent!

so! after figuring out some logistics on how i'm opening gen 2, i think im gonna be holding off on revealing who was selected for the job until i get to that point in gameplay, so it comes up more naturally! percy and chris still need to live a little bit of life before they end up in oasis springs, and i'd like to introduce everyone naturally through gameplay rather than a random post somewhere.

otherwise, i've just finished moving all of the sims into oasis springs, decorating them their own little customized homes, and giving them their skills and jobs (and for a few sims, family members, at least for storytelling purposes!) and during that process i got super attached to all of them! so on top of all the set up, i also ended up figuring out roles for everyone to play this generation, whether that be neighbors, friends, club members, or coworkers. obviously gameplay will dictate who gets closer to percy and chris, but in general, everyone has their own lives they'll be living which i'm really happy about! it was always part of the plan, but you guys sent in such great sims that it was really easy for me to get attached :')

so in short: not gonna do a big ✨reveal✨ post just yet. gen 2 will be starting up soon though. huge thank you to everyone who sent sims in and i'm rly excited to get started!!

i wanted to donate plasma to get our bills paid but i am unable to because i have a bacterial infection. i'm hoping to get on antibiotics and donate later in the month, but right now me and my brother are floundering.

places are not hiring him. he had a couple of places just flat out reject him for the gaps in his work history-- gaps from when he was taking care of my grandparents full time. i am unable to get a job because i have major depressive disorder and autism-- some people are not disabled by these things but i am and cannot perform to the standard expected of an employer. i have tried.
