When I say every single character in DBD is my favorite, I mean EVERY single character in DBD

Edwin; duh, don't even ask me to explain, if you know any of my favorite characters you will see a pattern and Edwin falls perfectly into that pattern

Charles; he's so repressed and kind, I need to give this poor boy all the good and it still wouldn't be enough to save him from himself and his people pleasing tendencies

Crystal; if you know me you know I love me a good complex character, her back story and her growth are so good, I can't, I love her so much (I'm also very gay for her)

Niko; she so perfect, so lovely, the hopeless romantic who could <3 also shes so inquisitive, I refuse to believe she's dead, thats not real

Monty; he's so precious, he didn't ask for any of this, save my son from this feelings bullshit

TKC; he's so stupid and cringefail, he just wants love, someone give him actual, genuine, real, requited love, he needs it

Jenny; my favorite dad friend lesbian ever, she's so tragic, I love her

Esther; I don't care if she tried to murder everyone ever for her own benefit, she's cunty and I love her, she knows what she wants and she's gonna get it, I respect a girl with a clear agenda

The Night Nurse; girl's just trying to do her job and do it right, she's such a girl boss

Kashi (the fish guy); he's so chill and slay, he's literally the perfect person to chill the Night Nurse the fuck out, I love him, he deserves more screen time

Simon; this poor kid, he's so sad and broken, get this Victorian boy into the 21st century, he'd be so happy here where he doesn't have to sacrifice his crush to a demon in order to get his attention

Something I just realized, Odysseus calls Telemachus by his name throughout Act I. Then when he get back to Ithaca, anytime he references Telemachus he calls him a familial title.

“… and hurt my boy”

“You plotted to kill my son”

“Son.”

“Oh my son look how much you’ve grown. Oh my boy, sweetest joy I’ve known.”

“My son I’m finally home!”

Then he calls his son by name while they embrace.

“Telemachus. I’m home.”

I just think it’s interesting. It’s like he’s reminding himself of what his son‘s name is throughout the Trojan War and his journey home.

When he gets back, he’s letting everyone know he’s claiming Telemachus, and reminding the suitors that Telemachus is his son, and he is Telemachus’ father.

Finally, the first time he calls Telemachus by his name, is after the two of them have rekindled their relationship. (I Can’t Help But Wonder is basically the two of them sharing how he views the other.)
