I see a lot of y'all want to support Black Content Creators. Meanwhile, a lot of the bestselling non-fiction books on anti-racism are still by white authors and a lot of the inclusive fiction books go tragically unnoticed.

Let's adjust that. Read the image above that describes how to provide real support to me as an author. I've got 8.5K Followers on IG and roughly the same on Facebook and Tumblr. If even a quarter of those followers threw NEW support towards any or all of my three books (in the way that the image describes) it would be life changing for the creators involved.

In 2018, I released the award-winning Love's Not Color Blind, an anti-racism book that focuses on #polyamory but can be easily applied to any group, relationship, event, or organization. It stands as the only book that examines the how race and polyamory intersect but still gets left off of resource lists written for and by well-meaning white folks. Change that.

In 2018 and 2019, respectively, @polyamorouslibrarian and I self-published the first two books in the For Hire #superhero series. Operator and Audition focus on the superpowered adventures of #queer, #polyamorous, #BlackWomen. The superhero genre is full of books by white men who cater directly to white, cis, hetero, male power fantasies. On the other hand, For Hire is written by a pair of queer, polyamorous authors who made sure to PAY queer, Black, and #Trans readers in order to provide authentic voices to our characters. Being self-published means that a lot of traditional avenues are unavailable to us. Help us counteract that.

As an added incentive to helping our work, I'm dedicating ALL of my personal profits from the sale of For Hire: Audition (which stars a Black trans woman) to @TheOkraProject (a collective that provides meals to the Black Trans community).

In 2020 and 2021, Alana Phelan and Kevin Patterson will be releasing two non-fiction books centered around polyamorous true stories.

The first book is set around a feature of Kevin’s Poly Role Models blog called “Cautionary Polyamory: Teachable Moments in Non-monogamous Relationships. In it will be stories of mishaps that made a huge impact on how polyamory was practiced and what was learned from the experience.

The second book will focus on happier stories that could only exist in a polyamorous context. Meaning stories including partner or polycule dynamics that would prove unsuitable or unreasonable within a monogamous relationship.
