The concept of Ever After High but make it Third Life. The Apple and Raven characters are Scar and Grian's sons respectively and Grian's kid refuses to follow in their father's footsteps because they don't want to beat Scar's kid to death.

So, On My Christian Minecraft Server?! won in an absolute landslide (8 votes or 13.3% more votes than Aliens and Such Oddities which got second place), and while I'm really excited to work on it, I need y'all to answer one more question for me before I start, since you all (you know, 20 of you) decided to pick the only option that could go two very different ways (both options will be written eventually, at least I hope so, I just need to know what option to start with).

Spoilers ahead so beware if you haven't read it.

So, the story of the one shot mainly follows Sausage, Shelby, and Oli (thank you for allowing me to spread my PET SOS Family propaganda by the way), and while they still have a much larger story to tell, their adoptive parents also have a story to tell (because Sundial wasn't always such a peaceful kingdom you know), and I need to know what you guys want to hear first.

I know my Poly PET Postal stuff wasn't the most popular but those are my little guys and I do adore them, so, for anyone who has taken a look at them, if any one of them was to be given an expanded universe (more chapters focused on other characters with a greater over arching story) which one shot would it be?

They say that soulmates are like two halves of the same person, so with the discovery of soulmates, the famed research laboratory M77 has decided to put this theory to the test. Trying to see if fusing two soulmates together will allow them to reach their full potential they take in seven (well, technically nine but we’ll get to that later) pairs of soulmates, and their two minds into a single body. For some pairs this goes well enough, for others, not so much.

Tango and Jimmy are a pair of creatives, a painter and a writer respectively. They both view the fusion as a positive as it sparks inspiration for both of them. Tango paints what the world looks like through the eyes of their fusion (and he also works tirelessly trying to paint a portrait of Jimmy), while Jimmy starts penning a novel based on the experience.

Ren and BigB are the youngest and oldest members of this set of experiments. Think just over twenty and just about to turn forty. They get along well but they don’t really know each other, no matter how hard they try. It's like the two of them speak different languages, and they can’t understand each other on a level any deeper than the surface.

Grian and Scar are polar opposites. Grian was small and frail, chronically ill and never able to do much physically, while Scar was tall and strong, and he worked as a zookeeper who lifted some of the bigger animals purely for fun. While their new body can stand a lot more pressure than Grian’s ever could, Scar keeps trying to blindly push it towards what his body could do, putting a lot of strain on Grian, which leads to Grian seeking out BigB as a source of safety.

Joel and Etho are both hockey players. Etho is a retired pro and Joel is pretty new to the sport, at least competitively. They get along well because of their shared interests and the fact that Joel had always been obsessed with Etho before the whole experiment began, swearing that he would get the man to come out of early retirement to play against him.

Bdubs and Impulse are quite literally, just two guys. The realest of the scenario. They get along well and because of this they try to help the others get along well with their partners, yet somehow they always seem to stumble and fall, making things worse between them than they were before.

Scott and Pearl are by far the most volatile of the combinations. Pearl came on strong which put Scott off and ended up spiraling into the two of them never really getting along, not even on a surface level. Eventually they hate one another so much Pearl resorts to hurting the body they share, hoping that hurting it enough will convince the scientists to end the experiments early and separate them… though they don’t seem to be letting up any time soon, resulting in Scott bending over backwards trying to get Pearl to stop hurting him, but it’s far too late for that now.

All of this is fine though! In a month the scientists have promised to separate them and put them back into their own bodies, even if they do have to stay in the labs for a few months after for recovery and monitoring. They’re getting paid handsomely too so surely they can get through this…

Then comes Martyn and Cleo. Martyn is just a normal guy but Cleo is an actual spirit medium, and it seems that her powers have manifested in their new body. Cleo and Martyn can see ghosts, four of them to be exact, and while it’s normal for Cleo it’s driving Martyn to the brink of insanity.

It really doesn’t help that when they start opening up to Cleo, the ghosts tell them that they were in a very similar procedure only a few months back, and attempting to separate them (Gem and Mumbo, and Skizz and Lizzy as the soulmate pairs) resulted in their untimely death. Now Cleo and Martyn have to convince the others to try to escape, but escape means sharing a body forever, and some of them don’t exactly know how they feel about that.

Look at me! Having a regular posting schedule for almost a week!

Anyway...

Last Life may be my least favorite season of the life series (at least conceptually), but my god do I love playing around with the shipping possibilities of the Last Life Teams, mostly because they’re my tiny little obsessions that I only think about every once and a while.

The fairy fort team is a gorgeous ship, but I raise you, fairy fort + Joel. A wife who has been openly poly for a long time and her husband who’s just trying it out for the first time. He tried with Scar but Scar is off doing who knows what in the southlands (this will be relevant later), so he ends up crawling back to Lizzy who suggests trying being a part of the fairy fort relationship, because maybe things will go better for him if she's also involved. Joel is hesitant for just shy of an hour before he breaks to his new partners just showering him in compliments and praise. Ren calls him his king since Lizzy is the queen (and thus it is only natural for Joel to be the king), and Joel just breaks to that (Ren will have to thank Martyn for teaching him his ways later). BigB is the sweetest man alive and even if Joel and Cleo didn’t get off on the best foot, Cleo ends up wrapped around Joel in their big ol cuddle pile and he just melts into them.

Remember what I said about the southlands and Scar? Well most of them are in a poly relationship, emphasis on most because Jimmy is not a member of the relationship (Grian’s like his brother guys! That would be gross!) He's still happily in a relationship with Scott even if they’re on different teams. Grian, Impulse, Mumbo, Martyn, and Scar though are all in a beautifully messy poly relationship and I love them. Scar was on the fence about Martyn at first but when Martyj jokingly threatened him he was smitten almost immediately. Jimmy did not realize his teammates were in a poly relationship until Scar asked him where their boyfriends were and Jimmy brought that up to Scott later. I mentioned that the flower husbands are still happily together, but there was a moment when Scott was holding Mumbo hostage that had Mumbo running back to the others absolutely raving about Scott, to which Jimmy hissed like a cat and wrapped himself around Scott (because no Mumbo, you don’t need his boyfriend, you have four!).

Team best is the most insane one of all, especially with all of the drama that goes down between Bdubs and Tango. Skizz asks Tango and Etho asks Bdubs (as they were their respective partners before the four of them got together), if they want to break it off, but Tango and Bdubs actually seem really into it so who are they to object? Skizz definitely won’t because Bdubs is usually clingy as hell with Etho, so more Etho time for him!

And then there’s Pearl, sitting there in annoyed silence, messaging her off world partners about the other players’ bullshit.

The final installment of Joel 1/2 (at least for now), and there's no better way to finish it off than with the obsession duo.

Our actual first love rival! This is Cleo as Kuno, who was obsessed over Lizzy until they met Joel's female form, now they're obsessed with both of them.

Also if you're wondering why their hair is partially white, that's because the orange is dye. They share a natural hair color with their sibling to be revealed later, but before that, we need to meet my favorite rival in the series so far!
