murderbot is peak queer rep because it’s about living as an inherently transgressive form of being, it’s about the complexity of passing, or the complexity of hiding, or the nuance of never fitting binaries and not wanting to even when fitting those binaries is seen as “better”, and it’s about making people uncomfortable just by existing, it’s about measuring forms of freedom and having to decide which you’ll save and which you’ll sacrifice. but most importantly it’s peak queer rep because murderbot is free for like five minutes and it immediately attracts the nearest supposedly-rare transgressive-illegal-superbot (ART) in a hundred light year radius to be its best friend, and what’s that if not your classic Queer On Queer Magnetism

I think someone should take Murderbot furniture shopping. Yes, there is the downside of spending time in public, but the upside is that the entire point of the outing is to sit on various surfaces repeatedly for three to six hours. And we all know how it feels about sitting.

One of my favorite Murderbot things is when the enemy is like: "time to be hostile! Security system, take care of that threat!"

And the security system is standing there metaphorically holding hands and making a friendship bracelet with Murderbot like: "Oh shit, there's a threat? Where!?" *turns to murderbot* "Did you see anything?"

one cute detail about murderbot is that its always running calculations on how likely an event is to happen. its always commenting on the statistical likelihood of something. and yet. it still thinks “but what if theres a space monster, like in my shows”

Murderbot: God, I fucking hate humans *adopts every earnest and nice human it meets* they're so annoying *practically melts every time one listens to it or asks for its opinion* they're so stupid I'm just going to let them die when they make stupid decisions *almost dies protecting its humans multiple times* If one more human touches me I will break their wrist *holds scared humans' hand and raises body temperature as reassurance* don't even get me STARTED on that asshole research transport I hate it so much *misses it constantly and compares all other bots to it* I'm just a scary angry rogue SecUnit who everyone should be afraid of *sits on the couch and watches serials for 20 hours straight*

re: murderbots fanfiction account post. im imagining sooner or later it somehow comes out that dr mensahs secunit wrote all those multichapters about sanctuary moon & it does more to humanize constructs than bharadwajs entire documentary

the entire sanctuary moon fandom IMMEDIATELY rallies against the usage of SecUnits as equipment

the writers of sanctuary moon start sweating bullets- what do you MEAN this rogue secunit didn't kill people because it liked our show??? we were going to end it soon but now I'm not sure we can ???????

Murderbot isn't on a mission or contract so it's just sitting at the preservation station in it's permanent hotel room watching serials and writing fics. It writes 15k word chapters daily, to the complete joy and also bafflement and concern of all of its readers.

One of them comments asking "Do you sleep??"

It replies "No."

This interaction is screenshotted and added to the 4000 post long forum discussion titled simply "how are they still alive"

whenever any of them get close to figuring it out, ratthi chimes in with a red herring while murderbot, secret forum moderator, quietly deletes the post and scrubs the internet of all traces of its existence or deletion.
