Good Parents, bad scientists…

I always see the bad Fenton parents au but what if they were actually really kind, loving and accepting parents but they truly believed their son was dead and a ghost had decided to take his form to torment them. Warning ⚠️: angst

It had been two weeks since they learn the truth, two weeks since Maddie saw that thing change its form to look like her baby, two weeks since she broke down in tears to her husband and told him their baby boy was dead.

Two weeks watching as that thing played with them like a predator stalking its prey, tormenting them with the memory of their son.

When it went to school that day to continue its charade Maddie stood frozen as she stared at the door. She knew what they had to do, they’d been working on a weapon that would wipe that creature from existence.

It hadn’t even crossed her mind to dissect the vile creature.

She knew what it was, she knew it wasn’t her baby..

But the thought of seeing her baby on their table-

Just the passing thought had her rushing to vomit in the trash and weep until Jack wrapped her up in his warm, strong, LIVING arms and held her close until her tears stopped.

It would be over soon…

Soon she could mourn her baby without that creature mocking his memory….

It walked in on her looking over her sons baby pictures when it got back from school and it took every ounce of strength to not flinch when it sat beside her and started act like it remembered certain moments.

She fled with the pathetic excuse of making dinner when it started to talk about her daughter. The thought of it targeting her little girl turning her blood cold.

When she heard it talking to Jazz that night, asking her if she noticed anything off with their parents lately, she knew they were out of time.

They had to act now before it realized they were onto it.

The next day as Jazz left the house they asked ‘Danny’ to wait a moment so they could talk.

Unfortunately the vile creature caught onto their plan when Jack activated the ghost shield to keep it trapped it the house.

She didn’t know how it managed to get the portal open, she didn’t really care.

Jack had managed to hit it with their new weapon.

It would either destabilize in the ghost zone or at the very least, it would never be able to take her sons form ever again.

It was finally over…

They agreed to seal the portal after it went through, no amount of scientific discussion was worth letting that thing loose…

After the shut down the portal, making sure no one would ever be able to turn it back on, she climbed the steps and walked into her little boys room.

She looked around at the model rockets and plastic stars and collapsed to the floor followed by her husband and together they could finally grieve their baby boy.

Her little astronaut that would never again see the stars he loved so much…

So Oracle saw the spilling of the coffee LIVE. And the deliberate act of the teacher to unleash the child. I’m just imagine Danny was vibrating in place like a child on a sugar high dialed to 11 and then there’s a click and vanishes in a blast of speed. Like suddenly going zoom so fast, only the aftershocks of his speed could be seen. (And lancer casually standing there as chairs, trees and his clothes are whipped in a whirlwind. Just holding the empty leash with dead eyes.) Like genuinely, for a moment Oracle wondered if the kid was an unknown flash. At least until he reached Joker and now she’s wondering if he leans more towards the side of demons.

Amity Park Field Trip:

The consequences of spilled coffee.

Mr Lancer would be considered a hardened war veteran if any member of the government not wearing white stepped foot in Amity Park.

He’d fought off zombies, ghost cops, and sentient meat on more than a few occasions to protect his students.

He’d warned each and every one of his students against misbehaving durin their field trip to Gotham and they all respected him more than enough to listen to his orders.

With Mr Lancers guidance they had made it an entire week in Gotham without any incident despite Poison Ivy taking control of the green house they visited, Scarecrow gassing the art museum mid way through their tour, and even Bane fighting Batman right outside the opera house right as they left for the evening. (Thankfully he had the foresight to put Fentons child leash on to stop him from ‘joining the fun’)

And now, here they were on their last day of their trip on their way across the Gotham University Campus to attend the lecture that brought them to Gotham in the first place.

They’d stopped by a lovely little cafe on campus and Mr Lancer was taking a long drawn out sniff of his coffee, just basking in the aroma for a moment when a high pitched laugh broke the peace and suddenly students were frantically running away from an explosion.

Normal this would be when he organizes his student and they all evacuate back to the hotel. All but one of his students had already put on their gas masks and were ready to mobilize at his command.

All but one that stared off towards the explosions with a demented grin on his face that was officially recognized as an omen of doom in no less than 10 occult journals.

Normally he would scold the teen.

Normally he’d had his coffee.

Instead Mr Lancer looked mournfully down at his spilled nectar and sighed.

Walking through his class he stopped right next to the smiling teen and reached behind him.

Every single one of his students immediately stepped back when the click of the glowing child leash signaled the boys freedom.

He didn’t even glance towards his teacher.

He had a clown to hunt.

A different laugh was heard throughout the campus that day, one that would haunt the dreams of any that had been unfortunate enough to be there the day the Joker made Mr Lancer spill his coffee.

speaking of larping as a knight u can get through basically any task by imagining that ur a knight or perhaps a squire undergoing various ordeals and such.

for example.

-car maintenance. a noble knight would never allow their steed to languish without proper care.

-laundry. a squire must maintain the wardrobe for themself and their knight and work hard to prove themself.

-exercise: a knight must train to keep their skills sharp and maintain their strength and stamina.

-conversation with annoying coworker? a knight must be gracious even in the face of provocation and maintain diplomacy and restraint so as not to make things difficult for their king and also not misuse their power by obliterating an unarmed man with sheer force of might no matter how much he DESERVES IT

A lost kryptonian founded.

Superman was just taking a break out of the Fortress of solitude after a couple of training to defend himself against kryptonite in case of another fight against Lethor.

Clark watched the Icy landscape in silence. It was quiet as the sky was dark, with only the tiny sound of a dangerously slow beating of a drum or a heart right underneath the ice..

Clark immediately went into Superman mode, driving right into the very glacier of frozen ice, only to nearly crash into a body in some large tunnel hole large enough to fit an adult.

It was a boy, a preteen at most curled up in a ball hugging himself with black and white hair that had a frost covered half of a crown on his head, eyes closed as If asleep with frozen tears stuck to his face like icicles, wearing a kryptonian suit with the initials rip on his chest.

Superman didn't think much or twice as he grabbed the boy carefully, diving out the hole he made from the Icy grounds.

The boy was ice cold, much colder then space itself if it weren't for the icy breath.

He dove back to the Fortress of Solitude in a tiny bit of panic, not to think at all as the Fortress's voice of Lara spoke out with a hologram.

"DNA Recognition, distant cousin once removed, Emergency Defense security disarmed."

Her eyes flickered a bit as if a message was being played, her face look a bit worried and hopeful.

"Oh, child of my beloved brother, Jac-al, if you have survived long enough under the eccentric of my brother and found the Fortress of Solitude. I hope you that you didn't inherit my brother eccentric antic to malfunction everything he built without forgetting to check if they are faulty."

Wore a couple modified shirts recently and someone asked “how?” so my illustrator background made me draw this because work was slow ✂️ Featuring examples at the end— drawn in Procreate.

Imagine this is a case where Phantom saves Robin and they say their words. Phantom is known as a flirt but it’s more casual and joking, but when he says his first words to Robin, all that resentment from years of teasing by his siblings builds up and he just lashes out. Phantom freezes and for the first time since anyone knew him, he went completly silent. He dropped Robin as soon as he could, finished up the bad guy of the day, and then disapeared. And it’s only later that Damian and the other bats realize what happened and exactly what kind of words Phantom must have on his wrist.

(Also, I vote this is Teen Titan universe so Robin is part of that team but Phantom is more an independent hero who isn’t affiliated with a group yet but still shows up to help. Then suddenly, he just starts closing himself off from any interaction besides fighting the villains. Doesn’t stay and joke around with other heroes like he used to.)

DeadSerious Soulmate AU - Where the first words your soulmate says will appear on your wrist on your 16th birthday. Part 1

Dick Grayson knows his little brother, heck, he practically raised him when Bruce went off and got lost in time. Damian's his little brother, he'd even take it a step further and call him his son.

Which is why, on Damian's 16th birthday, where the birthday boy is surrounded by their family and trying to hide his happy smile while bantering with Tim, he almost doesn't want to see the words that are going to appear on the boys wrist.

But alas, it's going to happen and Damian decided he wanted to show off the words as soon as they show up. Many people liked public soulmate reveals, many liked private reveals, many don't like showing their soulmate words at all.

Damian had been glancing at his wrist nearly all day, and everyone knew it. They just chose to not say anything to give the boy his own space.

He's growing up so fast, Dick thinks, glancing sadly at his little brother. They only had him for 6 years and he's getting older and is going to eventually leave and what will Dick do when his little brother-

"HOLY SHIT GUYS IT'S HAPPENING!" Jason exclaims, and Dick wants to yell because he was having a moment, okay? His little brother was going to reveal his soulmates words and-

Holy shit. Damian's about to reveal his soulmates words.

Damian is watching his wrist with open awe on his face and Dick is glad that no one was sitting behind Damian so he could have his moment. Dick could see the happiness clear on his face as words start to scrawl on Damian's wrist.

Time passes and eventually the words come to a stop and Damian then narrows his eyes as he brings his wrist closer and Dick is almost going to tip over his seat in anticipation.

Then, after a heartbeat, Damian's face flushes dark red and he moves his head away, as if he's embarrassed of the words.

Dick's about to open his mouth when he realizes Bruce and Tim managed to materialize behind Damian and are already looking at his wrist with their calculating 'I'm-a-detective-for-a-reason' look.

He watches with bated breath as Bruce's eyes narrow, a stern line on his mouth. Oh no.

Dick then looks at Tim, who's blank faced and has that look when he's going to find something that everyone within reason will call him crazy for.

Damian is still red-faced and he looks almost mortified now.

Eventually, Jason walks to Damian's side, reads the words and barks out a laugh.

"No fucking way." He says, delighted, and Damian's face turns darker.

Dick then finds himself walking over and reading the words and feels himself age by nearly 10 years.

Because there, right on his little brother's wrist, are the words: 'Geez, if you were gonna throw yourself at me like that, the least you could do is give me a kiss for saving you.'

I love the idea that all the villains are fully aware how hard this kid is trying (and failing)l like imagine some of the nicer ones getting in a group and comforting him. It’s ok little buddy, you’ll get them next time.

Imagine Danny apprenticing under Klarion. THE lord of chaos and evil. And still failing. Like, Kalrion would take that personally. No no, this is not happening. No apprentice of mine is THAT bad at being evil. Are…are you cursed? Did someone do this to you little one? Who would create such an evil thing. To be…ugh….good. WAS IS YOU DR. FATE!? Don’t worry! Your great and amazing mentor will figure things out. Curse, lack of talent or just bad luck, we will get through this.

By the way, Danny’s nemesis? Beast boy.

Failed rogue Danny

It was just for fun!

He was in this new world, sent into it by Clockwork, and Danny wanted to be a villain all around this World, join the big groups, like all his own always do with him… only he always failed.

He tries to do evil, but he ends up helping people. I mean just look at all his fails!

The bank robbery: Danny tries to rob a bank, but when he phases through the wall, he accidentally disrupts a malfunctioning security system that was about to explode, saving everyone inside from a deadly blast.

Sabotage: Attempts to sabotage a factory's machinery, but ends up fixing a critical problem instead, preventing a catastrophic accident and earning the gratitude of the workers.

Mugging: Danny tries to mug someone in a dark alley, only to find that the person was about to be ambushed by real criminals. His presence scares off the actual muggers, leaving the person safe.

Planting Trouble: He tries to ruin a community garden by planting invasive species, but the plants he accidentally chooses are rare medicinal herbs that cure a local epidemic.

Looting Prevention: Danny attempts to loot a ship at sea, but in his ghostly form, he scares off the pirates who were actually planning to attack the ship, protecting the crew and cargo.

Ruin a charity event: Attempts to sabotage a charity auction by possessing the auctioneer, but his ghostly antics make the event so entertaining that it raises twice as much money as expected.

In the end, he just gives up and puts his villain mask to one side. He's not cut out to be a villain, so he returns to the school here until Clockwork and the others pick him up.
