Care Too Much?

You and Dazai got into a fight because he didn't want you to go on a mission you were assigned to do because he wants you to be safe.

Notes: kinda angst/fluff?? Reader is female but no pronouns were mentioned. I would like to think this Dazai is Port Mafia!Dazai but ehh.. it's not mentioned so you guys can go with Ada!Dazai. OOC Dazai. I'm not a writer.

You were in your shared room sitting in your bed. You were mad that Dazai won't let you go to the mission. It made you think that he thought you were weak. And you hated that. Suddenly, you heard the door open and shut close. Someone walking towards you. "It was for the best. It wasn't suited for you."

"It was for the best?! Dazai, what's wrong with you? Do you think of me as a someone who is weak?" You say as you stood up and walk to him, eyes full with rage but of course with love too, you loved him after all.

Dazai sighs and grabs your wrists gently as he didn't want to hurt his prescious lover. That would be devastating because if he didn't care about you then he would've let you just go to the mission you want to go so badly. He just doesn't want you hurt.

"You are too stubborn. I know that you want to go but I don't want you getting hurt, my love." He said, slowly bringing your hand that he was holding to his lips and kissing it gently.

You let out a sound of frustration. "So you do think of me as weak? Dazai, do you not trust me?" Intertwining your hands with his. You looked at him in his eyes and said, "Please tell me you do."

Dazai frowns and pulls you closer to him. He looked down at you. It almost looked like he was towering over you. He then placed one of his hands on your cheek and opened his mouth to speak. "Of course I trust you. I don't think you're weak, I just don't want to see you get hurt, my love."

Dazai watched as your expression morphs into sadness as if it wasn't already upset. Slowly, you started to understand why he wouldn't let you go. You wouldn't want him to be hurt too. But you just want him to trust you. You want him to understand that you're strong too.

As he notices the change in your expression, he cups your face with both his hands this time, his expression softening.

"I know you're strong, darling. But I just worry about you so much. You're so important to me, I can't bear the thought of losing you..." he says, his thumb gently caressing your cheek.

You looked him in the eyes and tilted your head slightly to the right leaning on his hand. "I understand Dazai," you said as you slowly put both of your hands on the hand he had on your cheeks "but I hope don't think I'm weak, okay?"

Dazai gently grabs your chin and makes you look at him, his gaze intense as he looks into your eyes.

"I could never think you're weak. You're one of the strongest people I know. It's just that I love you so much that I don't want to see you in danger. I want to protect you at all costs, even if it means going against your will sometimes."
