4 Weeks Till VidCon
Tumblr media
VidCon has come a long way since its start in 2010. In case you forgot what videos looked like back then, here are 4 VidCon flashbacks to get you hyped.
This recap video from 2010 is uh-maaaa-zing. Nostalgic. Crisp production value. Video certainly has come a long way in 7 years...
youtube
When you think of YouTube, what comes to mind? Vloggers, funny skits, dog videos? YouTube curates some kick-ass music as well. Here are The Piano Guys at their first conference appearance.

On a more serious note, last year’s panel of creators discussed the dynamics of their communities. Fans can make or break a creator’s career, but the YouTube community is especially encouraging (minus the occasional trolls).

We couldn’t resist including a gaming panel. These gaming influencers spoke on their experience as female gamers in a male-dominated industry.

5 Weeks Till VidCon
Tumblr media
VidCon US is only five weeks away!
With over 200 featured creators, it can be tough to sift through and prioritize which creators to track down and meet.
Gaming has a special place in our hearts, so we present our list of five gaming influencers who should be on your VidCon radar.
Tumblr media
Aureylian (Erin Wayne)
Erin is the Lead Community Manager at Twitch.tv. On her own stream, Erin’s love for gaming is in full view: she plays everything ranging from Sims 4 to Final Fantasy, Minecraft to The Walking Dead.
Erin isn’t afraid to get personal in her streams, sharing from her life as a single mother.
Tumblr media
GameOverGreggy (Greg Miller)
Greg is a jack of all trades. He hosts several YouTube series and podcasts (Lets Play, Kinda Funny Games, Rooster Teeth). Greg was voted “Most Entertaining Online Personality” at the SXSW Gaming Awards.
Tumblr media
itsHafu (Rumay Wang)
This Las Vegas native is a full-time streamer. Rumay streams Hearthstone and League of Legends to half a million followers. Prior to her streaming career, Rumay was a competitive MLG award-winning e-sports athlete. “I love gaming. The idea of doing it full-time - I thought was just a dream.” (It’s secretly our dream as well. One can hope...)
Tumblr media
iHasCupquake (Tiffany Herrera)
Tiffany joined Youtube in 2010 as a Minecraft streamer. Since then, she has successfully launched 4 channels and crossed over into fashion and vlogging. Her signature unicorn hair matches her online persona. We’ll find out at VidCon if her offline persona is just as bright!
Tumblr media
Markiplier (Mark Fischbach)
As one of Youtube’s gaming forerunners, Markiplier is a household name. He’s no stranger to VidCon, having spoken since its inception. Mark recently channeled his online success into his first offline tour, hitting the roads in June leading up to VidCon.
---
There are plenty of gaming influencers attending, and we look forward to meeting them. More importantly, we want to meet the next generation of up-and-coming influencers. Who knows - it could be you! See you at VidCon!
