I like that many of these custom controllers improved the c-stick by adding some grippier texture. My main gripe about the GameCube controller is that the c-stick was too smooth. Hands down one of the best controllers of my lifetime. Great feel in the hand, ergonomic button layout, the octagonal rim around the sticks is pure brilliance, and hands down the best shoulder buttons / triggers (technically they were both with dual analog and digital inputs) outside of the Dreamcast (which I think was digital only). The Dreamcast controller (the second best imho) would have tied with the GameCube controller if it had been future-proofed against PS1 style tank controls. I bet a midlife controller revision or Dreamcast 2 would have added a second analog or N64-esque c-buttons.

Anyone remember The Life and Times of Juniper Lee? It was like Buffy but a cartoon? I remember it always being compared to American Dragon Jake Long at the time (both had Chinese American protagonists fighting fantasy creatures) but nowadays I never see anyone talking about Juniper Lee.
