About a month or so ago the wonderful @sharpth1ng asked to to draw a little something for the new chapter of Wave Of Mutilation, and I kinda went a little crazy.

Because I couldn’t single out one thing to draw, I just kinda drew it all! This was super fun and I’d totally do it again at literally any given moment. I still am so grateful with how much time I was given to work on this and because of that I’m super happy with the outcome. It was so fun to draw comics again <3. Sharp once again saving the day.

He canonically has two:

I like to think he did this to himself at like 14/15 cause he thought Brad Pitt looked cool with his earrings in that one episode of Tales from The Crypt, but he took them out pretty quick after a comment from his dad or another kid at school. I'm actually planning on writing a chapter of Butterfly Eater about this!

Later in life he'll put the earrings back in and own it.

Personally for me I always figured Billy had a bowl cut at like 5 cause Nancy saw his hair was getting long and said “uh….sorry sweetie that’s for girls…” and just gave him….that

Billy now hides his kindergarten photos for a LOOOONG time

Bowl cuts were popular back then so yeah, maybe! I always draw him as a kid with his hair slightly longer than in the movie, but that's me.

After reading the headcanons do you think Billy still has that Barbie somewhere or was he forced to give it away? If he did keep it how does Billy still feel sometimes looking back on it? And what type of Barbie do you think it might’ve been or how he played with it or what he named her

I dunno, i can't come up with any ideas to reply to this because i don't really see him playing with a barbie doll because that's not my hc but i'm sure you can come up with something.

So I have some headcanons of Billy growing up as a queer kid in the late 80s-early 90s

-When he was seven he ended up buying a Barbie with the Batman action figure as he was curious about feminine things with his allowance money and he never told Nancy or Hank about it but when they found it they didn’t scream or shout just said the line “boys don’t play with dolls”

-When he was in Boys Scouts he ended up having a crush on the leader and began to write his thoughts on the boy even thinking about them kissing before he tried to think about anything else but it didn’t work

-when he was 13 he began to read PlayGirl but tried to watch and read porn of girls but it was impossible just impossible as he had a gay panic attack and tried so hard to be “normal”

-When he was 14 he began to experiment with gender non conforming ideas such as wearing his moms hand me downs when his parents weren’t home and while he felt like Buffalo Bill at first but soon he liked it before internalized homophobia got to him and he packed them away

So uh these are my interpretations. How you like them?

I always picture Billy's childhood kind of tough when it comes to accepting his sexuality and i feel like it goes in hand with other feelings like the fear of being treated like an outcast. He is 'privileged' in some aspects but growing up queer in the late 80's/ early 90's was just hell. I also feel like his sexuality goes in hand with all the violent urges such as killing, or certain thoughts. Repressed stuff = anger = frustration. It always works like that.

I think he's the kind of person who bottles stuff inside and that's why he starts dating Sidney in the first place because she's the type of girl who's a role model (Good student, good daughter, the virgin type... etc) So imo he always tries to keep inside everything that could put him in the spotlight or that screams "He's queer! He's a weirdo!" He surely has internalized homophobia and i feel like he projects that on Stu sometimes too, which is more a touchy kind of person. Of course Billy behaves differently when he's with Stu than when he's with other people, but still it takes him a long time to open up to Stu (both about his romantic feelings and an upcoming murder plan)

So yeah, he wants to be himself but he's just deeply scared of accepting who he is. I can see him using movies as a form of escapism and as he grows older he finds some movies that open his eyes a little. I can just imagine him finding out that Anthony Perkins who plays Norman Bates in psycho was bisexual. Stuff like that. Eitherway I imagine him freaking out when he was younger about all the queer stuff, I always believe that Hank isn't supportive at all and he's portrayed as a real shitty dad, so. I support the idea of Nancy being a caring mom, but still, growing up in a household with a cheating dad didn't help at all.

So yeah, I agree about him knowing that he wasn't straight from a young age, he just doesn't comes clean about it. Things totally 'get better' when he's older, probably around 17/18 (like, in the storyline of the movie) when he starts developing a romantic thing with Stu, like Stu being his first real kiss or his first partner that actually counts, because he doesn't feel anything for Sidney.

What glasses do you think Billy Loomis would own/wear if he needed glasses ?

Yeah…

I hc Stu as a glasses wearer and YEAH the round glasses look good on him, but they’re not SUPPOSED TO!!

Billy walked into a glasses store and bought one pair 6 years ago and regrets it to this day.

Also I misread this ask I thought you asked what he would wear if he OWNED glasses (which now that I think about it is so stupid of me to read it like that), so here’s some clothes from my pin boards of them.
