my favorite thing about navigating fanfiction is finding a really good one and being all “oh boy this was good, I hope they have more!” and literally every other story they’ve ever written was for like Miami Vice

My grandma just called and, among other things, said “You have hips. That’s good! Men like hips!” and then she interrupted herself to say “Women like hips. People of your preferred gender like hips. I can never remember”  And I was like “Thanks grandma! My preferred gender is none of them, no thanks.” and she was like “Okay, no one will comment on your hips!” very self satisfied, like “aha, I have figured it out” I think like half her grandkids are some variety of not-straight and she can’t always remember which is which but she is the epitome of like “she’s a little confused, but she’s got the spirit!”

the challenge for week 2 of the summer of buddie 2.0 is: the cost of fame!

maybe you decide to create an alternate universe where buck and eddie are famous baseball players traded to the same team, or maybe one where buck is still a firefighter and eddie is a telenovela actor that he rescues. or perhaps you want to keep your story in the canon universe and have buck and eddie go viral because of a video chris posts on tiktok, or perhaps they respond to an emergency at eddie's favorite singer´s house and buck gets jealous. the possibilities are endless!

you can choose whatever you want this challenge to mean to you. be wild, be creative, be silly. have fun!

week 2 of summer of buddie 2.0 goes from june 23rd to june 29th, so you can post your fic(s) at any point during that week.

At the gate for my flight home from visiting friends and there's a woman here with a service Shiba Inu.
