Rapunzel

  This story is about a man and a woman who wanted a child desperately. It starts out where the woman was looking at this garden and saw something called rampion, she craved it so much that she practically convinced herself that if she didnt have it she was going to die. The man heard his lovers plee for this "rampion" and decided to go and get it for her himself. When he got it the woman was very much pleased and ended up craving it more and more and so the man wold go into this garden and pick rampion for his lover. One day when he was going to get his lover some rampion he bumps into the enchantress and she is extremely mad that someone has been at the garden, the man explains his situation and the enchantress makes a deal with him that he can have as much rampion for his lover as he likes but in return the enchantress wants their child. The man consented with these terms and the deal was sealed. When the baby now know as Rapunzel was born she was given to the Enchantress.

12 years later and Rapunzel has formed into a beautiful young girl, unfortunatly the enchantress took her and put his in a tower, no doors or stairs just a room with a little window that she can look out of. Everytime the enchantress wanted to visit Rapunzel she would yell up to her " Rapunzel Rapunzel let down you hair to me" and so Rapunzel did. After a year or 2 Rapunzel was singing and the kings son had over heard her, he tried to get the source of the girl who was singing but the tower as I said before had no doors or stairs just a little window.He rode home but the singing had stuck to him and hit him in the core, straight to the heart. Everyday since then he had rode back to Rapunzels tower just to hear her sing until one day he saw the Enchantress and how she commanded Rapunzel for her hair to climb up to her. she dropped her hair on command and the kings son decided he was going to do the same thing to get to the person who sang so well.

     The kings son did as planned and asked Rapunzel to let down her hair, She did as she always did and was in fear to see that it was a man coming through the window and not the Enchantress. The kings son immediately asks Rapunzels hand in marriage and she accepts. Then they form a plan for them both to get out of the tower. They keep it secret until Rapunzel asks the Enchantress why does it take her so long to pull her up then it does the Kings son. The enchantress gets extremely angry that Rapunzel has been in contact with the outside world and cuts her hair. That same day the Kings son comes back and asks for Rapunzel to let down her hair, but instead of Rapunzel putting her hair down the Enchantress kept the hair she cut off rapunzel to lure the Kings son up there so she could get revenge on him, she ended up blinding him so he could never see his soon-to-be-wife ever again. Rapunzel had twins one boy and one girl that had to live in horror after the Kings son had left. Years later Rapunzel finds her future husband and his sight has been restored too what it was before and they lived happily and contented.

Little Brother and Little Sister

  This story is about 2 little children that are siblings, they have an evil step mother that doesn't like them at all and results in beating them, when they try to get close to her she kicks them. One day on their walk they ended up falling asleep under a hollow tree. The next day when they woke up the boy complains that he is thirsty, they go to find some water but wherever they go the water turns people into something. First it was a tiger then a wolf and last but not least a deer in which the little boy was so thirsty that he drank it anyways.

   The little boy ends up turning into a fawn, the girl makes him a collar and a leash so the boy doesn't escape from her. They find a house and stay in there, the deer then wants to go out and hunt but promises that he will be back, he gives her a password in which he'll say for her to open the door for him so she knows not to open it for any others, but they don't realize that the king and his men are after the deer. After a few huntings of the deer they find out where the deer has been coming from.

     The king then went to the house, said the password and the girl let him in. The king then asks the girl if she`ll be wed him. She says yes but states that she will not leave without the fawn(which is her brother.) The king and the girl got married and then she was queen. The wicked step mother found out about this and was livid because she thought both of them were dead. The queen did a transformation to be a chambermaid and ran the queen bath. The evil step mother tricked the queen and ended up suffocating from fire fumes. The evil step mother then took her daughter that was ugly beyond repair and made her replace the queen.

  The king then came home to a son in which the real queen gave birth to and did not figure out that the fake queen was lying in his bed. Somehow the queen managed to come in ghost form i guess and watch over her child, the nurse was the only one who noticed this and it isn't till later when the real queen was doing her fawn speech thing that the king realized that was her and she regained life again. The evil step mom and her daughter were then sentenced to death and the real queens brother got his human form back. and as the end of this story says " so the sister and the brother lived happily together all their lives."

( The stories in this book are such a puzzle and use many old metaphors which results me in reading the story 3-4 times before writing a summary)
