ABOLITION OF THE STATE OF PRUSSIA

Control Council Law No. 46 and Excerpt from Report of Military Governor

[ February 25, 1947]

The Prussian State which from early days has been a bearer of militarism and reaction in Germany has de facto ceased to exist.

Guided by the interests of preservation of peace and security of peoples and with the desire to assure further reconstruction of the political life of Germany on a democratic basis, the Control Council enacts as follows:

Article I

The Prussian State together with its central government and all its agencies is abolished.

Article II

Territories which were a part of the Prussian State and which are at present under the supreme authority of the Control Council will receive the status of Länder or will be absorbed into Länder .

The provisions of this Article are subject to such revision and other provisions as may be agreed upon by the Allied Control Authority, or as may be laid down in the future Constitution of Germany.

Article III

The State and administrative functions as well as the assets and liabilities of the former Prussian State will be transferred to appropriate Länder , subject to such agreements as may be necessary and made by the Allied Control Authority.

Article IV

This law becomes effective on the day of its signature.

Done at Berlin on 25 February 1947.

This law is in the nature of a confirming action; the eleven provinces and administrative districts of prewar Prussia have since the beginning of the occupation been split up among the Soviet, British, and U.S. Zones and Poland.

I love the the Bug gym is so powerful.

asdlfkj well I mean Bug is canonically the weakest type with three weaknesses and seven types that resist it, so I had to do something to make it legit. Honestly I can see the Bug gym starting out as the most underestimated gym in Preuzien, but a surprising level of defeats and deaths in the Gym quickly brought the nation to their senses. (Which brings me to the notion of what if the Bug gym leader was so strong because they were constantly insecure and that stemmed from being underestimated early on…hmm…character development time :3)

list of OP abilities that prussian pokémon will have.

Shadow Travel: This Pokémon’s Ghost- and Dark-type moves automatically become priority moves, and can hit past Detect, Quick Guard and Protect. If the other Pokémon has an ability that nullifies priority moves, this Pokémon’s moves will hit if it outspeeds the other. Off the field, Shadow Travel is like a built-in Fly.

Steel Spirit: The Pokémon’s strong spirit allows it to ignore Attack and Special Attack boosts from boosting moves, Items, Abilities and Weather.

Hellfire: Sets up the Fire Terrain condition. The power of Fire-type moves is boosted 1.2x, Sunny Day lasts for eight turns, and all Pokémon that aren’t Fire-, Ground- or Rock-type have 1) Type-based Fire-type damage every turn and 2) a 20% chance of being “flash burned” by the terrain.

Charisma: This Pokémon can incite “Pokémon Amie” effects in its allies, and it stacks with Pokémon Amie effects brought on by the Trainer. This also makes it easier to capture wild Pokémon or earn their allyship in battles.

Smart Missile: This Pokémon’s supereffective moves never miss.

Electroglitch: Has a 30% chance to Confuse "synthetic”/“mechanical” Pokémon (example: Metagross, Silvally, Magnezone, Voltorb) at the end of every turn.

Combustible: Ball and bomb moves deal additional Fire-type damage, as well as Selfdestruct and Explosion. They can also hit a Pokémon with Bulletproof. 

Aura Leech: After the opponent uses a Special Attack, this Pokémon consumes 1/8 of its HP (seeing as I hc Special moves to be higher in Aura than Physical moves). The ability bearer also consumes 1/16 HP per turn of any Pokémon that is part Dragon, Fighting, Grass or Fairy (the types that generally have the most control over Aura).

Eon Shell: When the Pokémon is hit by a supereffective move, its highest Attack stat gains +1 and the defensive stat (either Defense or Sp. Def) that was used in damage calculations for the supereffective move also gains +1. This ability is found in Bug-types only, as it references the hardiness of the Bug type over the eons.

Relay: Basically functions as an automatic Baton Pass every time this Pokémon switches out.

Battleship: Water moves deal additional Steel-type damage, as well as ball and bomb moves.

Worse Than Whitney’s Miltank (okay i’m gonna think of a better name for this later): Base HP rises by 1.2x when the Pokémon is sent out onto the field and there are no entry hazards, but only for the match and only once per battle. But it also gives the Pokémon one HP EV every time it is activated.

Heat Kill: Fire-type moves have no effect; Sunny Day and Fire Terrain disappear when this Pokémon is sent onto the field; this Pokémon’s Ice-type move becomes supereffective against the “frozen” Fire-types. Found in Ice-types only, as it references the heat-death of the universe.

O H YEA H  and I should probably make this tweak to the worldbuilding. It’s usually the aristocratic families in Preuzien who would be matrilineal--aka the families who had a strong female Wyrdweaver Friedrike-like figure. Patrilineal families would still be common in Preuzien and at some points in history would even be the majority family model.

Why Preuzien Is Emphatically NOT A Feminist Society

Preuzien is matrilineal. Pokéverse SJWs would make the outlandish argument that it was the first feminist society in the world and it was only abolished because its womens’ strength presented a challenge to the world’s collective male fragility. I, as the creator of this system, would like to dispel any notion of Preuzien somehow being feminist before it comes up. The explanation is simple: because Prussian society doesn’t value and uplift women for their humanity. It only values them when they can embody masculine ideals.

Let me show this to you through a few hcs that I have, both hcs I’ve already revealed and hcs that I have not.

Prussian women are in charge of the government because women can be Wyrdweavers--literal miniature Arceuses--and men cannot. They are not permitted into the government based on a notion of shared humanity and shared intellectual competency. If men didn’t know about or didn’t value Wyrdweaver abilities, women wouldn’t be in power at all.

It is acceptable--sometimes even necessary--for a political woman to crossdress in order to show she can be taken seriously, but not for a man because that would make him look “effeminate.” And most certainly not for a hausfrau, because then she would be crossing the line into a masculine realm that she is by their definition not a part of.

It is not uncommon for husbands to torture and then attempt to kill their wives and daughters in order to turn them into Wyrdweavers (who can only be created after going through a life of suffering and then transcending death, a Legendary Pokémon, or another Wyrdweaver). It is also not uncommon for wives to accept this treatment unquestioningly, or to take the initiative themselves and torture their daughters. Even though women can develop supernatural abilities beyond male comprehension, even that is used to subjugate them--to beat them and kill them in the service of a twisted quest for power. 

Women who are to succeed their mother’s political position are chastised for expressing feminine behaviors, because from the Prussian perspective, they need to be toughened out of their natural female softness. (That line of thought also applies to the horrific treatment in the Wyrdweaver-making process.)

Women of status abroad are mocked for curtsying instead of bowing because the curtsy is a sign of femininity in the world of status, which is emphatically masculine.

More seriously, foreigners are also mocked for their abhorrence of the Wyrdweaver-making process. It is a joke in Preuzien that foreign husbands don’t beat and kill their wives and daughters because they’re “soft.”

Time for some small hcs about gender.

Prussian women are known for bowing instead of curtsying, just like their men. This highlights the fact that they have a more masculine role, a sharp contrast between Preuzien and other European countries.

It was historically acceptable for a Prussian stateswoman to wear male clothing if she was involved in matters of business or state. For a male politician or housewife to crossdress, however, would be highly unusual.

Likewise, any man or woman can challenge a female Prussian authority figure to a duel, but not a housewife with no political and/or manorial power.
