There are two pillars of happiness. One is love, the other is finding a way of coping with life that does not push love away.

Have you ever tried to understand someone thought process of why he/she committed suicide? . Majority of people can’t—and because they can’t comprehend it, they’ll write it off as “it’s too bad he/she didn’t just ask for help”... . Those who CAN relate, understand it. They understand that the decision to take your own life wasn’t decided in an instant. It’s the years of accumulated frustration, guilt, shame, helplessness or whatever negative emotion that they cannot control. The only thing they CAN control is HOW to end all these emotions, once and for all. . In some situations, no one can help you but yourself. Other people can’t relate because they’re not experiencing what you’re going through. They have never been in that dark, deluded mental state. . What about professionals? Psychotherapy costs $100-$300/hour, and if you can barely keep yourself alive, how the hell can you afford that? Well, sh*t. And after all that, what if you’re still emotionally suffering? . Birth control was such a big issue because the underlying value is that people should have the right to choose whether to give life or not—then, why can’t we have the right to choose to take our own lives or not? Because it’s a sin? Well, that’s controversial, isn’t it? . Let’s say you can walk into a clinic and ask for assisted suicide. The necessary steps would be something alone the lines of... (1) psychotherapy and/or intervention methods, (2) a consent form for you and a chosen family member to sign, and (3) final goodbyes. . “But it’ll increase suicidal rates by making it more accessible!” Haha. Let me tell you that anyone who has ever seriously considered suicide, will always find a way. So, isn’t it better to have a system in place where at least family members would be notified of the situation in order to provide adequate support? Lastly, what if the person is still feeling a great amount of suffering even after receiving said support? Do we force them to live the rest of their life in mental agony? Who are we to decide that? . . . #adhd #adhdproblems #suicide #suicideprevention #suicidequote #suicidemethods #suicideawarness #depression #depressed #depressionhelp https://www.instagram.com/p/B67NFgmBgYW/?igshid=csvhkh13inhn

I only post on Instagram whenever I feel the need to express my frustration of having ADHD. My previous post did just that, but I don’t want to leave a negative impact on everyone reading. So, here’s a follow-up post, with a positive note this time. 🙃 • Being a “dreamer” requires great mental effort. We’re not good at physical tasks because our strengths lie within our minds. We have the ability to navigate layers of complex thoughts and emotions (a double-edged sword for sure), we have the ability to imagine, innovate and invent; to create SOMETHING out of NOTHING. That’s not easy. • Dreamers like Walt Disney, Bill Gates, and Albert Einstein are the ones who leave a big impact on the world. Why? because they created something that didn’t exist before. How? By dreaming it up and conjuring the power to make it a reality. • Guess what they all have in common? ADHD. Yep... even Einstein. He couldn’t hold a job as a physics professor (lol), so he settled on a low-paying government job instead. To pass by time at work, he would come up with theories and kept them written in a drawer (ironically named the “Bureau of Theoretical Physics”). 😉 • In the words of Jessica McCabe (@howtoadhd)—“you cant teach a fish how to climb a tree”—So... STOP trying to climb and find your ocean, fellow dreamers. Only THEN will you be able to put in the amount of time and relentless effort it takes to cultivate a dream into reality. Only you can make your dream come true; no one else can do it. 💖🌙✨ • • • #adhd #adhdproblems #adhdawareness #adhdmemes #adhdparenting #adhdsupport #adhdkids #adhdadults #adultadhd #adhdexplained #add #dyslexia #autism #smartbutstuck #dream #dreams #dreamer #dreamers #aspien #aspienwoman https://www.instagram.com/p/B65iwbsB8vw/?igshid=1x4t7wq6xp8sz

Legend of the White Snake 🐍 (新白娘子传奇) . My grandma use to watch this show while taking care of me when I was young. My Chinese zodiac is also a snake, so I related to it very much. . There’s a 2019 version on Netflix and I’ve been binge watching it. Today, I went on my camera app and they HAD THIS FILTER. Excuse me while I nerd out over my lameness. Good day. https://www.instagram.com/p/B4oRux3BDzV/?igshid=1sppv7plij721

Poof 💭 #because #realityis #justablip #oftime . That’s what life is, #impermanence. So, there is absolutely no point in holding on to anything, or have fear of losing anything. . Why do we hold on to memories, recall past events, and worry about the future? Fear, fear and (you guessed it) fear. . What is #perfectionism? Fear of making mistakes. Well.. guess what? Nothing lasts forever, so let it go. Intend to 👏🏻 make 👏🏻 mistakes. Or else... how are you going to learn from them? 👀 https://www.instagram.com/p/B1xnc6-hMTG/?igshid=w9rffo2qlo28

She’s leaving not because of the pain you’ve caused her. She’s leaving because she needs to find herself, a part of her that she lost because of loving you. She decided to value herself more than expecting you to do that for her because she realized she can find comfort by herself, by being a lone and being away from people who don’t deserve her.

Cherophobia is the extreme and irrational fear of gaiety or happiness. Those who have this phobia aren’t always sad, but they’re afraid to express happiness and they are afraid to have fun. Cherophobia, like other phobias, may be caused by a past traumatic or negative experience. It may also be caused by an intense fear of disappointment.
