Your first meeting was when you stood up for her

You were the newest student in the school,so you were confused when she ran off

Later that day you found a note in your locker,thanking you

You kept standing up for her and eventually started to fall for her

But wherever you tried to talk to her,she’d try to run off

Her friend group quickly took you in when they realized you were standing up for her

They tried everything to get you together 

But one of you would always back out

The plans never worked

Request: A Sunset Shimmer × F!Reader. Reader is new to Canterlot High, and became friends with the mane 7 over time. Sunset tries to keep her past far away from reaching the ears of dear reader, but from a lot of rumors that still swirl around the school, dear reader gets really suspicious, and asks Sunset about it. 

Ever since you started at canterlot high,there always seemed to be something no one talked about. They kept referring to stuff that happened before you started,but wherever you asked they sidestepped the topic and refused to properly answer you. You had quickly become friends with Sunset shimmer and her group of friends,in fact you were starting to fall for her. Surprisingly she seemed to like you back,but neither of you said anything. 

Eventually you had enough and decided to write her a letter confessing your feelings for valentines day. The library was surprisingly filled with students writing letters. One of the students leaned over.

“Who are you writing this for?”

“Sunset shimmer” Silence fell over the room,everyone who was talking abruptly stopped.

“Has anyone told you about what happened?”

“What are you talking about?”

“Like how she turned into a de-”

“We shouldn’t be talking about this” Another student stopped her from saying anymore,and quickly dragged her away before you could question her. Suddenly you were the only one left in the library. You had enough of everyone whispering and decided to confront her.

“Hey Y/N,what’s up?”

“Could I ask you something?” You saw her hesitate before she nodded “What happened before I started here? What did you do?” She looked down to the ground,not saying a word. “I’m not mad,I just want to know”

“Y/N I’m afraid you won’t want to friends with me after you find out”

“What if you just bully some students or something? You clearly don’t do that anymore”

“Well it was just that at the start,then I-I” Suddenly she started crying “I can’t tell you Y/N,I don’t want you to hate me”

“Y/N I turned into a monster and tried to control everyone to take over the world!” She yelled out,leaving you stunned and silent. She looked up at you,still crying. You quickly knelt down and hugged her.

“Don’t mention it,I’m always happy to help” You set down the last bucket of apples and dusted off your clothes. “I’ll see you tomorrow at school” You said goodbye and walked out of the barn. Just as you were about to leave,you bumped into someone causing you to fall back,but luckily they caught you. 

“Are you alright?” You immediately recognized the voice,it was Big mac,he had caught you and helped you steady yourself.

“Yeah,thanks for catching me”

“You’re wel-”

“I guess you could say I really fell for you” His face turned bright red and he avoided looking at you. The silence quickly turned awkward. “I’ll you see tomorrow”

The worst part was that it was valentine's day and the CMC were attached to you,asking all sorts of questions.

“Did you ask him yet?”

“What? Ask who?”

“So what now?” You both laughed. You reached out to hold his hand and pull him close enough so you could kiss his cheek,his face was bright red and he looked away from you,but his grip on your hand got tighter.
