Hi everyone, today I'm making a post for Ola @ola987! She is a mathematics teacher in Gaza who has had her life upheaved by the genocide, and simultaneous scholasticide, in which schools, universities, teachers and other educational and cultural infrastructure in Gaza has been destroyed. She is in need of your critical support so that she and her family may be able to rebuild and recover. She has currently raised $77,547 out of her $85k goal, so we're 91% of the way there!
Please continue to support; the ceasefire is not the end and eyes and hearts should still be on Gaza and Palestine!!
If you can, please match my $5 donation! Anything helps, especially now as she needs the funds to care for her family and to continue her education! Let's get her to her funding goal!

it's very surreal to see posts about palestine dwindling down after the ceasefire. israel is still blocking aid to and trying to make life difficult for palestinians in gaza. we still have to continue to speak up about gaza.
in this ceasefire, many palestinians are trying to rebuild in attempts to try and return to what they had before the genocide. despite the heavy and unbearable loss of life that gaza has experienced, her people continue to try to make a better world for their children.
alaa is a mother of two young children. she wants to rebuild her house and get a better future for her children. please have heart and consider helping her out. her fundraiser has been verified.
please donate here

lord, make me soft. let my heart not be hardened– let it be pierced with compassion as your own sacred heart is, let it burn with love as yours so does. let me love. let me love and love and love. let my soul be slow to anger and quick to forgive. make me soft, heavenly father. oh god, please make me soft

It confuses me how normalized it is to be so anti human. The fact that two countries voted no to food being a human right. The fact so many people are against universal healthcare. The fact that it’s normal to believe some people don’t deserve housing because they’re poor, addicts, mentally ill, or any combination of the above. I find it so hard to comprehend that humans who have experienced hunger, thirst, cold, and illness would wish these things upon others, or at the very least not care. It frustrates me beyond belief.
These are the exact values we’re taught as children, to believe all humans are equal in worth and needs, and yet at some point you’re expected to grow out of that illusion. You’re expected to accept that this is what life’s like, that the world is unfair, and attempting to fix it makes you weak and childish.

something i hate so much from the short time ive been following the queer christian community is this sense of “oh why won’t anyone think of US” in regards to ex christian queer people. like im sorry it hurts your feelings but i genuinely get why people would be wary of religious people. even if we’re also queer. every single religious group i’ve been apart of has been hostile to lgbt people. even so called progressive christians on here spout fundamentally bigoted talking points. the lgbt community accepting people does not mean individual groups or people need to accommodate you. christian organizations have done so much hurt, i would honestly be shocked if people weren’t wary. empathy is lacking very badly when this conversation happens and honestly i have to roll my eyes. y’all being progressive does not negate someone else’s experiences and caution. especially if you’re outside of america 😭

“The test of faith is whether I can make space for difference. Can I recognize God’s image in someone who is not in my image, whose language, faith, ideals, are different from mine? If I cannot, then I have made God in my image instead of allowing him to remake me in his.”

this is an old post and one of the rbs already mentioned this but i just wanna repeat i really dislike the “identify as” instead of just being. like even if i didn’t call myself lesbian, im objectively a lesbian because i fit the definition…yes things can have personal meaning to you or wtv but can we focus on material reality rather than hoohoo booboo vibes. lesbians on 🔝
really tired of people who aren’t lesbians saying stuff like “you don’t have to call yourself a lesbian even if you are only attracted to woman! its ok to not like that label!” because while it is 100% ok to label yourself how you want, I don’t think you guys realize that the reason so many people feel uncomfortable with the word lesbian is because of the over sexualization and fetishization of our identity.
