I'm freeeeeeeeee!!!! I (somehow) survived finals week month, and it's finally summer!!! I haven't been happy with my update frequency, so I'm issuing myself a challenge to update at least one chapter of any fic each week for the next month, and I'm putting it here to hold myself accountable and actually do this. 😅

I feel like Cass would probably not really understand what's going on, since she knows so little about what's "normal". And since yeah she knows how to read body but she's not always interpreting right/able to understand them in their context, Bruce could totally use that to have her by his side I think 🤔 Anyway it's so interesting, I'm very curious about how it's gonna turn out!!

I know that I'm, uh, the one writing it, but since my strategy is mostly winging it, I'm also super curious to see how, and how effectively, Bruce manipulates Cass. Especially since she's such a unique and awesome character! :D

I love the idea of Steph and Dick being close but Steph being dark just bc she's Tim's friend make me laugh 😂 Also honestly I'm not sure she knows what a healthy family look like either lmao

None of these kids know what a healthy family is, except maybe Dick, which is both hilarious and sad. 😂

Regarding Cass and Steph, darker Steph would make sense since she would be Tim's friend more than trying to help dick, but I think Cass would be a good ally for him. She grew up with an unyielding parent who forced her to become an assassin, and while she's grateful to Bruce for helping her, I feel like she'd help dick have his own peace because she can sympathize with him more

That’s true! Cass would be like, not this shit again. 😂 But maybe because of her past, she wouldn’t realize how unstable Bruce is. That’s just how parents are in her head. But Cass would probably recognize and empathize with Dick’s miserable-ness. So it’s still a toss-up in my brain.

Steve joins the army before Bucky, and so Bucky gets Erskine's serum and rescues Steve from the POW camp. Despite Bucky's best efforts, Steve still becomes Captain America (albeit a tiny one) and leads the Howling Commandos, with Bucky at his side.

Fast forward to the 21st century. Steve is chasing after Nick Fury's assassin and accidentally acquires a new body guard. Sam is not impressed. Tony won't stop laughing.
