headcanon that Wilson's natural state is untidy. He uses all of his energy to look super presentable at work, but then he has no effort to spare at home and his space gets cluttered and messy

when he lives with House, his appearance suffers at work and he seems less put-together, but that's because he's been saving his energy to keep his home life tidy and it's too much to Also look tidy

House needs clear floors to easily navigate with his cane and Wilson cares more about making sure House can exist as easily as possible than he cares about keeping up his Professional Doctor Persona
