i just had a weird freaking dream and i thought asking you to draw it would be cool, i dunno. but only if you have time, ofc!

Anyways, In the dream, my PJ (AfterOmni) and yours (Mc!PJ) met eachother, and while your PJ talked about life with her girlfriend and little boy, PJ just stares at her with a thousand yard stare, yk? And then she starts explaining that Omni died in his AU, and actually they are with FRESH & GREASER and Mc!PJ just goes ��😦

alright so 1, I think ur dream brain kinda mixed 2 aus together because mc does not have a kid, and 2, because of the comedic tone I decided to go with for this response, I'm using "main" timeline mc, ie the one who has yet to meet omni

I think the funnier option is him meeting omni after this pj told him all of this, like, is this stranger doomed?? should I try to stop it?? how do I stop it??? and now omni has a small paranoid bodyguard (rare mc moment where he actually stops encouraging recklessness woah)

for fresh I'm honestly on the fence on if he exists at all in pjr, but if he does and mc knows him then it would definitely make him🤨and deeply question why, for multiple reasons, out loud and to other-her's face

as for greaser...

she's never heard of him, and also has no clue what the greaser subculture is so now she simply pictures other-her dating sans undertale, or a.. greasier variant.?? (whatever the hell that means, mc isn't gonna dwell on it)

1. How do they act towards different people? Like parents, friends, siblings(?)?

Sucrose has spent the vast majority of their life only in the company of their family, finding no need to interact with anybody outside of their circle. They behave pretty similarly around all of their family, not caring for putting up a mask around any of them. They're a reckless menace; not everyone in their family approves of their behavior but has come to accept it nonetheless.

When I refer to their “family,” I'm talking about their parents (Error, Ink, and Nightmare) as well as Nightmare's Gang and The Stars; they consider all of these guys family. They don't have any siblings in the traditional sense, but they have a very sibling-like dynamic with many of their family members. I don't want to give specific roles to each of them, because Sucrose wouldn't either. They're all just, family.

When it comes to friends, well…

I'll talk about that another time ;)

2. What is their favorite thing to bake? Do they have a least favorite?

I don't know if they have just one favorite thing to bake, but they really enjoy making candy apples, unsurprisingly. It always freaks Nightmare and Dream out too, which is an added bonus.

Their least favorite thing to bake is any kind of pie, it's the one thing they've never been good at baking. For some reason, the crust always turns out weird, and the pies cave in on themselves, not a fun time.

3. Who do they look up to the most?

Either Nightmare or Horror, I'd say. Those were the two they spent the most time with growing up. They admire Nightmare's strength and power, and on top of that, he happened to have the most active role in their childhood growing up. On the other hand, Horror was always the person Sucrose went to when they were upset. He was the most emotionally available of his household members and was the most open to caring for them when Nightmare introduced Sucrose to The Gang. They bonded instantly.

4. Why did they decide to bake?

When they were a baby, Horror used to set them on the counter while he was cooking, letting them hand him things and help out where they could. As they got older, they ended up helping out a lot more in the kitchen, just as a way to bond with Horror. Horror realized they didn't really have any interest in cooking, but thought they might like baking and decided to teach them a few simple recipes. Turns out, they did like it and started to learn new recipes on their own.

They still cook with Horror, though; it's routine for them at this point. They'd be sad if they had to stop.

5. What stuff would they carry around on a frequent basis, if any?

The only thing they really carry around with them everywhere is their bag. Inside it are two main compartments, one side housing small containers with seven differently colored candy melts that they eat to gain emotions. The other side houses their sketchbook and a pen.

Their lore is still in development, but I'll go over what I have so far, mostly their creation.

To start with, Sucrose wasn't created out of any form of "love" between Error, Ink, and Nightmare. They were very much created by accident.

One day, Error was bored and decided to go searching for a fight. So, he did what he always does and searched for an AU to destroy, hoping to alert The Stars there.

The AU he decided to target was the old Dreamtale AU, an AU corrupted by negativity and completely abandoned by all its past inhabitants. Error saw the AU as nothing more than a waste of space and figured it was about time he did something about it.

The second Error entered Dreamtale, both Dream and Nightmare felt his presence. Dream didn't have time to react before he was forced to his knees by the sheer increase of negativity radiating from Dreamtale. It seemed Nightmare had managed to get there first.

Nightmare was sent into a blind rage as he felt Dreamtale being invaded. Despite how much he tried to hide it, he was still protective over his old home, the place where the remains of his mother were kept. He visited her frequently to no one else's knowledge. He wouldn't tolerate anyone disturbing her burial grounds.

Nightmare left before his gang was even given a chance to react. They felt his negativity just as strongly as Dream had.

Error hadn't considered Nightmare having any sort of attachment to the area. He thought, if anything, he was doing a favor to Nightmare by getting rid of that waste of space of an AU. He had not expected to be met with Nightmare's unfiltered rage.

Dream could do nothing to intervene despite desperately wanting to. He was rendered useless as Nightmare's negativity overwhelmed him even from AUs away. Entering the AU itself would mean certain death. The Stars had to act quickly, and Swap volunteered to stay behind and care for Dream, whilst Ink went and attempted to defend Dreamtale.

The battle that ensued between Error, Ink, and Nightmare was an incredibly aggressive one, driven mostly by Nightmare's seemingly endless rage. Eventually, Error was driven off, retreating into the Anti-Void, and once Ink had realized Nightmare had no intent to harm Dreamtale, he left as well. Nightmare secluded himself in the AU for a few days, watching over it as if it could be attacked again at any moment. Once he had calmed down, he also left.

Dreamtale was once again abandoned, left in semi-ruin, covered in the debris of the previous battle. The negativity from the fight caked Dreamtale in a thick fog, its magic taking root in the AU's soil. Above the ground, Ink's paints soaked the ground, piles of Ink's strings scattered about. The negativity cradled around the debris, and with the small amount of magic still left in the Tree of Feelings, a soul was formed.

The soul formed into a baby skeleton monster, the same one who would become Sucrose. For the next few days, Sucrose sat alone on the AU's surface. They sat unmoving, simply staring out into the treeline. They had no wants, no desires, no purpose. It seemed they had inherited Ink's need for his vials, though in a slightly different way.

Only Ink felt Sucrose’s presence; Dream and Nightmare were unable to sense their emotions, as they had none. All Ink knew was that someone was in Dreamtale, though he didn't know who. He assumed it was Nightmare, as he hadn't felt any harm being dealt to the AU. He realized he was wrong when a few days later, he felt a second presence within Dreamtale.

Nightmare had returned to visit Dreamtale to check on it one last time when he found Sucrose. For the first time, Sucrose felt the desire to do something, as they reached out their hands to Nightmare.

Nightmare was shocked to see the baby, noticing their similarities in appearance and wondering if they were placed as some sort of trap or trick. Yet, he found himself picking them up anyway. They settled easily into his arms, and Nightmare couldn't bring himself to set them down.

As Nightmare made himself a portal to leave, the baby held firmly in his arms, Ink appeared. The last thing Nightmare saw was Ink's shocked expression as he noticed the baby held in the guardian's arms. Nightmare knew then that this hadn't been a trick.

He became determined to raise Sucrose as his own. He would keep them safe and far from where Ink or Error could ever reach them.

Realizing how long this is getting, so I'll stop my lore dump here, but know that both Ink and Error get to meet Sucrose eventually properly. All three of Sucrose’s parents love and care for Sucrose a lot, despite their hatred for each other. That's their baby.

I'm more than happy to rant about Sucrose more, I just don't want to make this too long haha

I designed this goober a while back but never posted them. Meet Sucrose! They're my inkmare kid!

I'm really pleased with how their design turned out, I can't wait to draw more of them.

They're my silly little 17-year-old aroace candy apple critter, I love them dearly <3

I put some info about them below the cut for anyone who might be interested in learning a bit about them!

They can also derive emotions from consuming food of corresponding emotion colors without the need for the candy melts. For instance, eating something yellow will make them feel happy. They simply chose the candy melts for their taste and ease of access.

☆ They can only faintly feel emotions on their own. Similar to Ink, they need outside help to experience emotions fully, but instead of vials, they get their emotions from colored candy melts that they carry in their bag.

☆ The large pen beside them acts as their weapon, serving as both a mallet and a spear, able to be thrown by one of their tentacles. They can also write with it.

☆ Like Ink, Sucrose's eyelights can change shape, but one of them is always in the form of an apple.
