Different anon here, but a throw-back to the questions about your discontinued fics. I still love 'Artists and Dragons' very much. It's refreshing having characters that feel like characters and not just 'insert romance here'. If you ever feel up to revisiting the idea some day, I'm happy to read it :D

yeah i'm glad for other people that there is so much romance related content in fandom, but i personally am somewhere on the aro spectrum and dont get a lot out of fics wherein the Point is the romance happening.

if i did do artists and dragons again (which honestly i might. its the most likely rewrite id do out of all of my discontinued fics), id def do the character writing even better and focus a lot more on worldbuilding skyrim through those characters. i think the most fun part about that fic was the character writing, since most of skyrim's characters are like cardboard cutouts where you can do whatever you want as long as you hit the correct tone.

nothing funnier to me than when AI does math wrong. like I get why it happens, it's a language model that's treating the numbers you feed it as words rather than integers and then giving you an answer based on how those words typically appear in a block of text instead of actually performing a calculation. but the one thing computers are genuinely incredible at. you fucked up a perfectly good calculator is what you did, look at it it's got hallucinations

Love love love characters that present themselves as emotionally open social butterflies but the more you see of them the more obvious it is that they’re the most closed off fuckers in the story. Sure, they want to help you with your personal problems and messy emotions, but if you turn that shit back on them, they’ll shut down or deflect every time. Why are you sticking your nose in their business anyway? It’s not like it matters. They’re not a person, they’re just a role being played. They’re the guy who fixes things and saves people.
