So, I get really anxious during online school. It makes it almost imposible to focus on anything. One of my friends gifted me a tiny plush a while ago. It is really comforting.
I always either squish it or pet it. Sometimes, when I am feeling specially overwhelmed, I like to rub it against my cheek.

Neurodivergent people with comfort items: please reblog this and talk about them! What are they and what are they like? Do you stim with them, if so how? What do they mean to you? How long have they been in your life? And if you could, I'd love to see what they look like! I'm super interested in seeing the diversity in comfort objects in our communities!

Hello to my fellow neurodivergent people!
Do you ever feel like you just don't understand words, no matter how hard you try? Like, you can't neither process nor form sentences.
It's as if my brain suddenly decides to forget every word in every language I know. Pls tell me I'm not the only one.

Me: *wakes up feeling well-rested and motivated* Today is going to be a good day!
Brain: *sarcastically* Yeah, we'll se about that.
Me: Shut up brain, you will not ruin my day again
-------------------
(fast forward twenty minutes)
Me: *making myself some breakfast*
Brain: Why is it so messy here?
Me: Huh?
Brain: Hey, we should really organise the cupboard!
Me: Okay! *Opens the cupboard*
Brain: Nevermind, it's too messy. We don't even know where to start. I say our best shot is to get overwhelmed.
Me: B-B-But...
Brain: Darling you have no say in this. We are getting overwhelmed. Also, your food smells weird, I don't want it anymore.
Me: *cries*

*opens book*
*reads one sentence*
Brain: Aaaaand, we're done.
Me: Whut?!? We just started. You can't do this to me again!
Brain: I can and I will. Now, we need to find a new hyperfixiation..
Me: B-but..
Brain: HuSh ChilD. Do not question my methods.
Me: *sigh*

Online classes are so understimulating and boring it physically hurts my brain to try and focus on them.
Please send help. It's getting worse by the day and I don't know what to do.

Honestly, how do people manage their time?!?
That kind of skill is beyond my understanding.

To neurodivergent people out there, I have a question. Does it happen to you that you are just doing your thing, you know, minding your own business, and suddenly, bum, your mind just kinda shuts down?
Like, I'm doing my homework, and my brain decides it's enough work for the time being (even if I've just started) so it just stops working. There's a foggy sensation in your mind and you can't focus. And you sit there like: nononono i have to get this doneee, why must you hurt me like this.
Cause it's been happening to me on a nearly daily basis and I'm really frustrated.

This page exists under the sole purpose of helping me cope with many of my ADHD symptoms while not having access to a diagnosis (yet). It's hard when you are constantly struggling and everybody just shrugs it off or calls me lazy.
I'm not a therapist nor a professional, but I have noticed certain behaviors and done a fair amount of research to suspect I may have ADHD. I intend to go with a professional for orientation as soon as I can. Please do not rely solely on self-diagnosis. I am not invalidating those of you who, like me, feel identified with the symptoms, but please try to get professional help asap.
To anyone who has stumbled upon this, I hope you have a great day. Remember, you are loved and valid, no matter what you are going through. If things are confusing right now, know that everything will be sort out. You are very, very important. If you need to vent to someone, I'm here if you feel comfortable confiding in me. (Though I may forget to answer because brain go brrrr)

So, here's the thing. I do not have ADHD nor any other neurodivergence (to my knowledge) but I still perceive time like that. I thought everyone perceived it that way. Am I wrong?!?! (Edit: Turns out I may have undiagnosed ADHD :0)
ADHD time processing: today is Monday, but tomorrow is Tuesday and i have class, after that is wednesday I’m having lunch with my mom, then on Thursday i have a night class which means it’s basically already Friday and this week is already over
