Micheal Montgomery Parkings
Tumblr media
Age: 14
Height: 5'4
Pronouns: He/him
AGAB: Male
Hair color: Red, Light Purple (fading)
DOB: 3/25/20XX
Species: Nature Elf, White Human
Opinions on Micheal differ from person to person. Most people say he's a great leader and a beacon of hope in these challenging times. Others (his brothers Andy and Sean) think he's an asshole and a control freak. Sean has called him a "Two-faced snake." in front of the entire Football team. Micheal was less than pleased (let's say things got ugly on the walk home).
Micheal looks up to his dad, Artemis, and wants to be like him for better or worse. (it's for worse; Artemis is a TERRIBLE person.) He sees people like Andy as useless and should killed off or locked away to "Make a better world." Of course, he hasn't told anyone this upfront, but in a few social circles. He thinks he's the best brother of the three of them and continuously shows Andy his and Sean's awards to "Put him in his place."
(All this started because he's an early bloomer.)
School Life
Micheal is in the Top five of his class. The teachers love him. He has received several awards. He's the Football team's ace! and class president. He is the picture-perfect student.
Micheal has many friends in school, except for one.
AP Science: One of the top students has an excellent relationship with his teacher.
AP Math: Same with AP Science.
ELAR: His writing is exquisite and at a college reading level, and his teacher can't stop gushing about him!
History: he isn't that interested, but he has to keep those straight A's
Football (UK): the leader of the team and strategist. Rival teams fear him!
Student Council President: Nobody knows how he balances Student Council duties and football. It's a secret he won't tell (it's Sean.)
Home Life
As said before, Micheal idolizes Artemis to an unhealthy degree, which causes tension between his brothers and Reika.
Artemis (dad): Everyone sees him as the hero. Their relationship makes some people uncomfortable. Maybe they're too close?
Reika (dad): Sees him as someone who doesn't care.
Andy (brother): Sees him as useless and a burden on everyone.
Sean (brother): One time, he's his best friend who's willing to help with anything (even bully Andy). Other times his this asshole who he doesn't care about and (to him) betrays him when it's convenient (this isn't true; Sean calls him out his bullshit)
Health and Disabilities
Micheal has OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder). He was diagnosed earlier in the school year due to his concerning behaviors, and Reika finally took him to see a psychiatrist, where he was diagnosed correctly.
Micheal keeps this a secret due to the stigma of mental health in Marigold Point (the city they live in).

Wake up
Andy struggles in class, and his mind keeps wandering. He feels so weak that he feels like he's going to pass out any second. None of the questions on the paper make sense anymore.
The teacher put a hand on his back, startling him. "Are you okay?" the teacher asked. "No…" Andy answered weakly. The teacher sighed and let Andy go to the nurse. Andy walked through the halls, cane in hand, briefly looking through passing classrooms until reaching the nurse's office.
It felt like he was out of time, unable to process the world around him. He reached the nurse's office and quickly sat down. Everything felt wrong. Andy felt a hand on his shoulder, a sense of clarity in his wilted state. "Are you alright, Andy? Do I need to call someone?" Andy couldn't reply; he felt too weak.
Something to touch… Andy woke up in his own bed, completely disoriented. He looked at the left side of his bed, seeing Artemis there reading a book.

Golden Crest
Andy woke up to his alarm, the sun shining light, brightening up his room, the noises of his family coming from the other side of the Andy finally got out of bed, slugging his way to his dresser, grabbing his new school uniform and a towel he opened his door and headed to the bathroom.
He knocked on the bathroom door just in case someone was in there. When he heard nothing, he opened the door and set his clothes next to the sink before turning on the shower. Then he heard a knock. "Occupied!" he yelled. Reika slightly opened the door. "It's just me. Do you need help?" Andy quickly responded to his question, "No." Reika poked. "Are you sure?" Andy, slightly Irritated, "Yes!" Reika still wanted to make sure. "Are you really sure-" Andy cut him off. "DAD!" Reika closed the door. Andy's face flushed in embarrassment as he heard his brothers laugh from beyond the door; as Andy showered, he realized that someone had used shampoo and conditioner. He sighs, frustrated, as he knows who did it.
Micheal was rummaging through the pantry, looking for something, growing increasingly frustrated. "Ugh! Where is it!" Micheal yelled out of frustration. "Oi! What are you on about?" Artemis chimed in. "N-nothing, father. I'm just looking for something." Micheal said with hesitation. Artemis got close to Micheal, tightly gripping his shoulder to keep him in place. "Listen and listen closely. I don't have time to hear your childish banter. So you can either tell me why you're yelling or can shut up for once." Micheal decided to go silent. Artemis lets go of Micheal's shoulder and leaves the kitchen.
When he heard Artemis' footsteps gone, he immediately went upstairs to Sean's room, slamming his door open. To Sean, eating the thing he was looking for... "I knew it, you bastard!" Micheal yelled out, "Um... Haven't you heard of knocking before?" Sean said mockingly. Micheal quickly walked over to Sean, snatching the food out of his hands. "Oi!" Sean protested, but Micheal cut him off. "These are MY crisps, Sean!" Sean simply shrugged. "Food is food." Micheal's face turned red in anger. Before he could get a word in, Andy popped in. "Sean, did you use my shampoo and conditioner?" Andy asked, holding up two empty bottles of his shampoo and conditioner. "They smell nice." Sean mocked, "ASKING is nice, Sean!" Andy retorted.
For what felt like a really time, the silence lingered on Reika, knocking on Sean's open door, getting the brother's attention. "All three of you must leave the house and get to school. Your lunches are already on the table. Grab your backpacks and get out." he said, already tired of them. The boys quickly grab their stuff, wanting to get out of the house first. Just when Andy is about to exit the house, Reika stops him. "Do you know what to do when your Wilting Disease flares up?" Andy impatiently answered, "Yes." Reika hands him two fifty-pound notes. Andy is confused but doesn't question further and runs out of the house, shoving the hundred pounds in his school jacket pocket.

Andy Grace Parkings
Tumblr media
Age: 14
Height: 5'4
Pronouns: He/him
AGAB: Female
Hair color: Red, Light Purple
DOB: 3/25/20XX
Species: Nature Elf, White Human
Andy is described as slow but kind and often air-headed at times. He's all about the atmosphere and aesthetic of places. If he likes the vibes, he'll stay there for hours or even days if allowed to, of course! Against his family's wishes, Andy often explores on his own, wanting to see the world upon him, seeing destroyed cities, small farms, or whatever Lush City has to offer (sometimes his brothers come along to shop in the mall).
He often leans towards his elf half more when exploring. He can usually be found resting in the area with the most plants (especially if there are flowers). He hasn't run into any bad experiences while exploring but still takes precautions before leaving. Most of the people he has met have been friendly so far.
He only explores during summer break.
School Life
Andy isn't a bad student. He always treats teachers with respect (even the awful ones).
Socializing isn't his strong suit, so he tries to be as quiet as possible so as not to be noticed by anyone, and he doesn't have to talk (he hates presentations).
Science: he's neutral about this (unless it's about plants. He loves talking about plants)
Math: he hates it. Point plank, if you go beyond addition and subtraction, you've lost him (he's good at long division and percents, though)
ELAR: loves reading, hates everything else (he has a 75 as his grade most of the time)
History: he doesn't hate but doesn't love it either (he finds Texas history boring)
Gym/Physical Education: it's situational. If games are involved, then yes; if he has to exercise, then no. (he hates being sore)
Art: he doesn't draw or paint. It's just not his thing (he likes scrapbooking)
Home Life
Andy's home life isn't the best, but it isn't the worst either. He doesn't have great relationships with his brothers or his dads.
Artemis (dad): no
Reika (dad): it's complicated
Micheal (brother): He finds Micheal very controlling and unloving. He doesn't understand why Micheal treats him this way.
Sean: He's confused about Sean. On the one hand, he seems to be uncaring, like nothing is important to him, willing to throw his brothers under the bus if something goes wrong, but on the other hand, he sometimes does something out of character to him, like calming him down when overwhelmed or standing up for him when Micheal is having one of his moments
Health and Disabilities
Andy has autism but doesn't know he has it (Reika won't tell him). He knows something is wrong with him (this is why Reika's and Andy's relationship is complicated)
Andy also has a genetic terminal illness known as Wilting disease. Don't let the name fool you. It's a terminal illness that needs to be managed with medicine and mobility aids for the future. Andy is fortunately aware of his illness (you can't hide it when it's physical). He hasn't needed a wheelchair yet but has used crutches several times. W.D. makes his bones weak, and he'll bruise easily (I.E., when he turns around in bed, he'll wake up with six bruises on his legs).

Longing for an answer
"I wish... I wish to know," Gracie said. I wish to know what is wrong with me." "It's hard to stand sometimes." "I've longed for the answer. Please give it to me, Dad." "I won't tell anyone; I'll stop bothering you!"
"I don't understand why all the kids at my school laugh at me." "I don't understand why the things I like are weird." "I don't understand the new trends." "I feel so out of touch. I can't connect to anyone, not even my brothers. I can't form a group of friends. Am I destined to be alone?" the young one asked his father.
"Andy, please—" his dad said tiredly. I am running out of time. I do not have much left, please! I beg you, I want an Answer to everything. Why must you keep secrets from me?" Gracie began to cry. "Every day gets worse for me, both in school and health." " I can't take this torture anymore!"
"I AM DYING, AND YOU DO SIT THERE IN PITY OF ME INSTEAD OF HELPING," He yelled angrily. "this disease is killing me from the inside out." "I can't remember the last time You visited. I can't remember people's faces anymore. I feel nothing. It's hard to focus when you know you're dying and there's nothing you can do to stop it," he said through tears.
"Please sleep, Andy. You will feel better in the morning," his dad begged him. But—"Shhhh Schmetterling, everything will be alright," he kissed his son's head. Soon enough, everything will be over, and you'll be free from pain," he assured him.
That memory would stick with Gracie forever. It felt like his dad had just given up on him, never to answer his questions on why he must be this way, why he must be 'difficult' and 'hard to understand.' "This pain will last forever," He thought as he cried himself to sleep
"It still stings every time I try to remember him. It's all I can remember. I can't remember anything else. Even if I tried, I can't remember my brother's faces. I can't remember what happened with Artemis." He said, "My dreams are of no help at all." Andy looks at his hands. "I think they're my memories, but I don't know; they're all so fuzzy, like my brain is trying to fill in the spaces."
"Andy, where are you from?" Stephanie asked, concerned, "I don't know." Andy answered with worry.

City lights
"So pretty." The young elf thought, looking around the city. The air was cold, but the city was so alive. There are so many things to look at, so he walks around the town for a bit. "Hmm. that mall looks nice." He stepped inside, looking at all the stores. It was hard to choose! There are so many stores, so many choices. He decides to walk into the bookstore. "I like books." He thought. The smell of books was overwhelming. "Such an interesting smell!" He grabbed one of the books on the shelf.
"I didn't know cats could fight!" He thought he continued reading until someone tapped him on the shoulder. "Excuse me." said the small voice. "Do you know where you got that book?" The elf turned around to see a half-human boy, maybe one year younger than him, with red or ginger hair, a blue sweater, and purple eyes. "Um..." The elf was at a loss for words; for some reason, he couldn't speak any word he could think was stuck in his throat. "Uh...Maybe? I-I don't-" another voice cut him off. "Hey, Grace, I found the books you were looking for!" Two more half-humans with the same hair appeared behind the shelf. It was like he was looking at the same person over and over again. One of the halflings was waving one of the books in the air. The book had a drawing of two women on the cover, one with purple hair and the other with brown hair. "Grace" walked over to his siblings. The boy couldn't hear them; they were too far away.
The boy left with the books he had bought, happy as ever. The city felt like a dream—nothing else like it- made from a cluster of dreams. The lights felt warm and caring.
Something Stephanie could never have if he stayed home.

Prologue
It was quiet
the only noise being made was footsteps
a little red-haired boy strolls through the abandoned streets of an unknown city with rubble, dust, and miscellaneous overgrown plants covering everything.
He tries to walk as quietly as possible, not to disturb whatever could be there: an animal, another elf, or a... "Never mind, too rare of a thing to happen," he says to calm himself down as he notices that he's shaking, so he decides to take a break and sit next to a street light.
He looks into the bright blue sky and wonders what Euphoria was like before the war.
Was it as beautiful as Dad said, or was he making jokes again?...
"I miss his jokes; I never got them, but it was a core part of him. I wish I could've appreciated them more," he said.
He sighed as he stood up and walked again. The hideout was pretty close, but it felt like he disliked going outside A. He was the only one strong enough to defend himself and B. He was a leader by default. Curse your genetics! He thought
As the sun set, the boy realized he had walked too far and might have to set up camp for the night.
