In this world, strange occurrences are all caused by Yo-kai.

A wristwatch called a Yo-kai Watch enables people to see these creatures. These people are know as the Watch Masters.

One day, several mystical doors appeared, allowing Watch Masters and Yo-kai throughout time to gather.

These chosen heroes fought together against the Oni Yo-kai, Soranaki, who sought out vengeance after being framed for treason.

With the power of their bonds, the Watch Masters and their Yo-Kai friends were able to save Soranaki's soul and clear his name.

After returning the Watch Masters to their own time, the doors vanished without a trace, all but one...

Even now, that door waits for the day it can fulfill it's purpose.

And what was it's purpose?

Well, that, no one knows yet...

Taylor, Teddnyan, and Fumika had just walked up to the house just as Keita was coming out the front door with Jibanyan and Whisper following behind.

"Morning, you guys." Keita said as he let out a yawn.

"I take that Inaho woke you up too?" Taylor asked, also yawning.

"Yeah..." Keita said "If I knew that Inaho was going yell into my ear, I never would've answered the phone."

"But, I wonder what Inaho wants? Whis." Whisper wondered

"She sounded pretty excited on the phone." Fumika said "Maybe it's a big case?"

"We have been helping her out on a lot of cases lately, since she can't summon Yo-kai right now." Teddnyan said

"Nya... But did she really have to wake us at six in the morning? Our meeting isn't until eleven, and I was having the most peaceful dream." Jibanyan said

LOCATION 》 NOM BURGER

"Chiwatchi!" Inaho greeted as the group walked other to her and USApyon outside the restaurant "Why do you all look tired? Did you not sleep well?"

"What do you think?!" the group simultaneously said in annoyance, in which Inaho just tilted her head in confusion.

"Sorry, I tried to stop her, dani." USApyon said "But she got got all excited when that package came."

"Package?" Taylor repeated

"Hehe... behold!" Inaho dramatically said, holding up her left arm.

"EEEHHH??!!" the group yelled in shock when they saw the Yo-kai Watch Arcane on Inaho's wrist.

"H-how on earth did you get that?!" Whisper asked

"It's a gift from Lord Enma! He had this sent to me as a thanks for helping out during the war against Soranaki." Inaho explained "Which is why I wanted to treat you all to Nom Burger to celebrate!"

"That's amazing, Inaho! Though, it doesn't feel right having you pay for everything." Taylor said as she took off her backpack "Let me buy you ice cream. I'm pretty sure I have a coupon..."

"Whis!? Ice cream? Count me in!" Whisper said, bumming into Taylor as he flew past, causing her to drop her backpack and the stuff inside spilled on the ground.

"Oi, Whisper! Watch what you're doing!" Keita said as he and the others started helping Taylor pick up her stuff.

"Sorry, Whis..." Whisper apologized

"The ice cream isn't even for you, nya." Jibanyan said

"Ah-le? Isn't this an ark?" Inaho asked, picking up an ark off the ground that had a picture of a city on it.

"Ah! This is..." Taylor said, taking the ark from Inaho after she put the last of her things in her backpack.

"You recognize it, Taylor?" Fumika asked

"Yeah, it's the ark I won from the Crank-a-kai." Taylor said

"When did this happen?" Teddnyan asked

"I got it last month when we tried winning the Crank-a-kai's grand prize. But then we found the world door and ended up traveling to the future that same day, so I completely forgot about it." Taylor explained

"It doesn't look like a normal ark though." Keita said "I wonder whats it for?"

"I think for something called "New Eridu". At least, that's what it saids on the other side of it." Taylor said as she showed Keita the back of the ark.

"Never heard of it, dani." USApyon said

"Oh~ this sounds like a mystery for the Inpyon Detective Agency!" Inaho said, her eyes shining in excitement.

"How exactly do you plan on solving it, Whis?" Whisper asked

"By searching all of Springdale, of course! The ark will probably react when near by whatever it opens." Inaho said "Plus, this will be a good chance for me to practice using my new watch!"

"I'm for it! How about you guys?" Taylor asked

"You can count me in!" Fumika said

"If Fumika is going, guess I'll come too." Keita said

"Great! Let's get going as soon as we done eating!" Inaho said as the group walked into Nom Burger.

After they finished eating, the group began their search at Mt. Wildwood. When they didn't find anything, they move their search to upper Springdale, then in Downtown Springdale, Breezy Hills, and even Excellent Tower. They also asked their Yo-kai friends, that they ran into during their search, if they knew anything about the ark, but they unfortunately knew nothing. The group finally took a break in Sparkopolis, after buying themselves some Y-Cola from the Everymart.

"I was so sure we find something by now!" Inaho disappointingly said

"It's kinda expected though, whis." Whisper said

"But now that we've done so much searching, I can't help but be more curious." Keita said

"I know what you mean, Nya." Jibanyan said "But where -"

But before Jibanyan could finish his sentence, two loud familiar voice suddenly echoed in the air, startling the group.

"MONGE~!!!!!"

That's when the group spotted the Yo-kai, Komasan and his twin brother Komajiro, panickedly running out the alleyway next to them.

"D-do you think we lost it?" Komasan asked as he and Komajiro stopped running to catch their breath.

"I don't see it behind us anymore, zura..." Komajiro said, looking back down the alley.

"Komasan, Komajiro!" Taylor said, getting the two Yo-kai's attention.

"Oh, it's you guys!" Komasan said "How ya doing, zura?"

"A whole lot better then you two, by the looks of it." Teddnyan said "What happened?"

"Komajiro and I were wondering around, w-w-when..." Komasan said, his voice shaking in fear.

"When, what?" Whisper curiously asked

"A terrifying monster appeared and attack us!" Komasan yelled

"A monster?" Keita confusedly asked

"Yeah! It was SO scary, zura~" Komasan said

"He does remember that he's a Yo-kai, right?" Whisper quietly wondered

"We should put our search on pause and go investigate." Taylor suggested

"I agree. That monster might attack more people if we don't." Keita said

"Can you take us to where you two were attacked, dani?" USApyon asked Komajiro

"Sure! Follow us!" Komajiro said before the group took off running down the alleyway.

A couple minutes later, Komasan and Komajiro lead the group into an abandoned underground subway station.

"It's so dark and creepy in here." Fumika said, nervously looking around.

"What were you guys even doing down here?" Teddnyan asked "This place isn't really a tourist attraction..."

"We were here because of this, zura~" Komasan said, pulling a scroll out from his bag.

"We spotted it on the ground as we were walking by the entrance, zura." Komajiro explained as Komasan handed the scroll to Taylor "The monster attacked us as we were about to read it."

"What exactly does the monster look like, anyway?" Inaho asked

"Um... it's body was black with glowing green cracks on it, and orb for a face, and a traffic light on it's back..." Komasan said "Just like the monster standing behind you!"

This made the group turned around to find the said monster standing behind Keita.

"......." there was a long silence before the monster let out a loud high-pitched screeching noise, causing the group to scream in fear.

"It IS the monster, zura!!" Komajiro yelled

When the monster swug it's weapon at Keita, Taylor quickly used her watch power to put a shield around Keita. After the monster's weapon bounced off the shield, Teddnyan used his Pay Up! attack to send the monster flying into the brick wall.

"What is that thing?!" Keita yelled

"I-i-it's not any Yo-kai I've seen before, Whis!" Whisper said as he pulled out his Yo-kai Pad to search for info.

"Whatever it is, it doesn't want to go without a fight, nya!" Jibanyan said as the monster slowly stood up.

"Alright! Guess it's time to try out my Yo-kai watch weapon!" Inaho excitedly said, holding out her hands "Come on out, my weapon!"

Responding to her words, a ball of yellow light flew out of Inaho's watch, which flew into her hands before transforming into a yellow bazooka.

"DANI??!!" USApyon yelled in shock, his face turning pale at the sight of Inaho's bazooka "Why is THAT your weapon out of everything?!"

"Awsome! Let's try it out!" Inaho said, pointing her bazooka right at the monster.

Before USApyon could stop her, Inaho's bazooka blasted a powerful yellow beam that struck the monster square in the face. The monster let out a painful screech before it's body crumbled into dust.

"Haha! Did you guys see that!?" Inaho excited asked, jumping up and down as the group just looked at the destroyed wall with a sweat drop.

"Perhaps we should refrain from getting Inaho into any more fights until she has had more experience with that thing, dani." USApyon whispered

"Agreed..." Keita said

"Huh? What are you guys whispering about?" Inaho asked, putting her weapon away.

"Nothing!" Keita and USApyon panickedly answered, in which Inaho just tilted her head in confusion.

"But, I wonder why that monster attacked us, and where it came from..." Fumika said

"AH!!!" Whisper suddenly yelled, surprising everyone.

"Hey! What's with the yelling, nya?!" Jibanyan angrily said

"Look over there!" Whisper said, pointing down the tunnel where the group spotted a very familiar doorway.

"Isn't that a world door, dani?!" USApyon said

"It can't be! All the world doors disappeared after Soranaki's defeat." Teddnyan said

"World door?" Komasan confusedly asked

"Don't you remember, nii-chan? This is the door that allowed us to travel through time." Komajiro reminded Komasan "It's also what lead us to meet the other Komasan and Komajiro."

"Oh, right!" Komasan said

"Wait, could this where the monster came from? Like what happened with the future Himojii at Mt. Wildwood Shrine." Keita said

"That could be possible..." Taylor said in thought.

"Let's open it and see where it leads to!" Inaho said, running over to the door.

"Wait, Inaho! Do you even know how to open it, dani?" USApyon asked

"If it is a world door, then we'll probably need an ark." Keita said

"An ark... oh! Taylor, get out the Eridu ark!" Inaho said

"Why?" Taylor asked

"Because this could be what we've been looking for!" Inaho explained "The ark has a picture of a city on it, right? So maybe, the ark is meant to open a doorway to that city!"

"No offense, but that sounds a bit far fetched." USApyon said

"I might as well try, though. Since we're here." Taylor said, pulling the Eridu ark out of her pocket and walked over to the door.

The symbol on the door illuminated when Taylor held the ark up to it, and then the door began to gently open. But at that moment, the entire subway station began to tremble, and glowing green cracks started to appear on the walls and floor.

"Monge! What's happening?!" Komasan said as he and Komajiro hugged each other in fear.

"This didn't happen when we open the other doors, Whis!" Whisper said

"Let's get out of here!" Fumika said

However, as they fled towards the exit, the ground beneath them collapsed and they were enveloped by the green light.

They say that's when the mother crow cawed. Whoa yeah!🎶 [Meanwhile, the light from the world door engulfed all of Springdale, and the city started transforming into New Eridu. A few people from Springdale and New Eridu felt the power of the world door for a brief moment before dismissing it and returning to their previous activities, oblivious of the abrupt change of their two worlds]

He wears light beige cargo ankle pants with brown high-top sneakers with black laces and a light brown belt.

characters info: While looking for rare bugs at Mt. Wildwood for his summer project, Keita finds a stone gashapon machine (the Crank-a-kai) in front of the Sacred Tree in the woods behind the shrine. A strange voice then started singing to Keita, telling him to put a coin in the Crank-a-kai. Keita decides to put in a coin and twist the machine until a ball came out. Keita opened the ball, freeing the Yo-Kai Whisper, who was trapped inside. Whisper reveals the existence of Yo-Kai to Keita before giving Keita his first Yo-Kai Watch. Keita is a carefree person where his personality gains him many friends, while he enjoys being with them and the Yo-kai he befriended, even when they can be troublesome. However, one noticeable trait is how extremely average he is; this spreads even to his hobbies and school marks, which greatly annoys him. Like most kids, Keita does basic things, like watching television, messing up his room, staying up late at night to watch television or play games. However, he is very righteous and has a strong sense of justice when a real crisis pops up. He also has a serious anger issue when pushed to his limits. Keita has a huge crush on his childhood friend, Fumika.

He has a wisp on top of his head that resembles an ice cream swirl, as well as at the bottom that always move whilst he floats.

character info: He was sealed in a capsule during the Meiji Period by a priest who thought all spirits were evil. He was set free from the Crank-a-kai 190 years later by Keita, in which Whisper decided to become Keita's "butler" and go live with him. Despite talking in a polite and well-mannered demeanor, he has a slightly uptight personality and a short temper, leading him to come off as sounding arrogant. As a Yo-kai butler, he prides himself in knowing all there is to know about Yo-kai, yet he often finds himself hastily checking the Yo-kai Encyclopedia when confronted by one. He enjoys lecturing those around him, and frequently says "Whis!". Whisper can go through walls, doors, and other certain objects, referencing his ghost-like appearance.

appearance: Jibanyan is a red-and-white-colored cat Yo-kai, with pink inner-ears and a chip on his left ear. He has yellow colored eyes with large pupils, his nose and inner-ears are dull shade of pink. Attached to his collar is an aquamarine colored bell, matching the hitodama flames at the end of his two tails. On the middle of his chest, Jibanyan wears a yellow haramaki which he also stores Chocobars and several other items like magazines of NyaKB under it.

character: Jibanyan was originally a normal red cat, named Akamaru who was owned by a teenage girl named Emi. They had a strong bond before Akamaru sacrificed his life to save Emi from being run over by a truck, causing Akamaru to turn into the Yo-kai, Jibanyan. After this, Jibanyan became determined to become strong enough to never get run over again and began training by fighting against ongoing trucks, he hasn't won a single fight. Jibanyan became friends with Keita and Whisper after they back a picture of Emi that a another Yo-kai stole from Jibanyan. Jibanyan is a Yo-kai that has fierce determination to do anything such as being eager to fight over other Yo-kai that are causing trouble for him. Despite his motivation and power, he also slacks off on occasions if Keita's orders aren't important for him or when he's feeling lazy in general. He has an affinity for Chocobars and anything related to his favorite music group, NyaKB, to the point of dreaming of having his own chocobar factory and collection. Jibanyan also collects merchandise of NyaKB and has a private collection full of them including pinup magazines, music CDs and clothing. Jibanyan fights with his paws, whether it be for opposing Yo-kai or incoming trucks. Jibanyan and Whisper can fuse together to become the Yo-kai, Buchinyan, combining both of their powers. But both Jibanyan and Whisper hate fusing, and won't do it unless absolute necessary.

appearance: Katie has black eyes and brown hair tied in a ponytail with a pink ribbon. Her usual outfit consists of a light yellow jacket with teal trimmings, multicoloured buttons and a pink heart at the bottom right front. Underneath she wears a black and white striped top as well as blue shorts, dark grey socks and black trainers with white laces and soles.

character info: Fumika is the childhood friend of Akari and Keita. She became a Watch Master during the events of Yo-Kai Watch 4. While Akari, Keita, and the rest of the Shadowside Detective Agency have trouble trying to beat Yo-kai from the future, the Yo-kai dog Naviwan appears before Fumika and leads her to the Crank-a-kai at Mt. Wildwood. She cranks the capsule, to find a Yo-kai Watch and meets the Yo-kai, Junia, who tells her all about Yo-kai. Junia warns her about Akari and the others being in danger, so they go around to help them out. Katie is a kind and playful person. She's very popular and often considered cute with a certain charm. She's also smart, but also worries about meeting her mother's standards. She is surprisingly brave and comfortable with heights. It also seems that Katie is extremely oblivious whenever it comes to romance.

appearance: Inaho is light-skinned and has short purple hair in a bob with an almost full fringe. She wears big round glasses and has dull purple eyes with black pupils. She wears a white miniskirt, dark blue leggings and yellow trainers with white laces, tips and soles.

character info: Inaho became a Watch Master during the events of Yo-Kai Watch 3. She got the Yo-kai Watch after USApyon sets it up for her to buy at an anime goods store. After helping USApyon with his request, Inaho decided to open the the Inpyon Detective Agency, that specalizes in solving cases, most of them being related to Yo-kai. During the events of Yo-Kai Watch 4, Inaho ended up losing her watch, making her unable to summon Yo-kai, but this didn't stop her in helping in the fight against Soranaki. Inaho tends to talks a lot and loves anything space-related. She is a bit of an otaku and has a huge collection of space-themed and anime merchandise. Sometimes, Inaho has a short attention span and tends to not notice how she annoys her Yo-kai partner USApyon with her antics. She can also be a bit of an airhead, tending to associate anything and everything in her life, from mundane tasks to objects to genuine danger posed by certain Yo-kai, with episodes after her favorite show, Sailor Cuties much to USApyon's annoyance. Whenever something doesn't turn out to be an alien or anything space-related, she easily becomes disappointed and uninterested. Inaho's catchphrase is "Chiwatchi!", combined with the arm motion she does when greeting someone.

appearance: Usapyon wears a yellow spacesuit that has rabbit-like ears on the hood, and he carries a small orange ray gun modeled after a carrot. He also has a blue jet pack attached to his back, along with a smoky-looking purple tail that resembles a burning flame. Without his spacesuit, he is revealed to have an otter-like appearance with round ears, a wispy strand on his forehead, and white tips on his feet and hands. He also wears a red scarf around his neck with a star-and-stripes pattern on it, with black underwear saying "USA".

character info: USApyon used to be an otter named Chibi, who ended up in a rabbit farm for an unknown reason. One day, he was selected by Doctor Hakase Hyūrī of the NASU space training program to be the first animal to go to outer space but during the engine test, Chibi was inside the rocket and began to panic only for him to die in the rocket explosion and become USApyon. He later asks for Inaho's help in finding Doctor Hakase. But sadly, USApyon is discovered that Doctor Hakase was in a state of depression because he blames himself for an accident that USApyon caused. Inaho convinces USApyon to build a rocket ship to cheer him up, which worked. USApyon then went to live with Inaho and opened their detective agency. USApyon is a serious and abmitious Yo-kai, usually showing signs of frustration when things don't go to plan. He is easily annoyed if someone provokes him. He is also persistent, as he does not like to admit he's wrong until proven otherwise. He is shown to be very intelligent because of his huge flare for rocket science. This can cause him to act arrogant and rude, sometimes even to the point of brashness. When provoked enough, USApyon will activate his Invader Mode (where a black glass plate flips over his face, black smoke fills his helmet, and his eyes turn red), which consists of him chasing and trying to shoot the one who angered him, showing a rather violent side to him. He activates this by pressing and holding both gray buttons on the cheek area on his helmet.

Even though he can be mean and witty at times, USApyon genuinely cares for those who he holds a close bond with. USApyon is shown to also incredibly determined when focused on a task, almost stopping at nothing to get the job done. Whenever someone, mainly Inaho, rambles on about something that is uninteresting to him, USApyon will still listen to whatever they have to say, despite being bored. Usapyon uses a laser gun officially referred to as the "Bunny Blaster", which shoots out a red laser beam from a distance. The beams he shoot appear to be made of electricity.

character info: Taylor lives in the apartment above the antique shop her parents owns, Sakurai Timeless Antiques, that is located in Uptown Springdale. Taylor is a student at Springdale Elementary School, and is classmates with Keita and Fumika. Taylor received her first Yo-Kai Watch at few days after Keita did. The day after restoring an old worn-out teddy bear that she bought from the arcade, who were going to throw the teddy bear into the trash, Taylor found a yo-kai watch on her bedroom desk. When Taylor put on the watch, the teddy bear instantly transformed into the Yo-Kai, Teddnyan. Teddnyan was grateful for Taylor repairing his original body that he decided to give her a Yo-Kai Watch as thanks. Taylor and Teddnyan became best friends since that day, and Teddnyan began living with her. Taylor learned that Keita also had a Yo-Kai Watch a couple days later when she and Teddnyan ran into him, Whisper, and Jibanyan at the park. After becoming friends with Inaho and USApyon, Taylor would sometimes help out at their detective agency - the Inpyon Detective Agency. Taylor is skilled in making plush dolls and stuff animals, she hopes to open a toy shop when she grows up. Taylor sometimes sells the toys she makes, including custom toys. Taylor loves watching anime and reading manga, her favorite genre being mystery and stories about phantom thieves. Taylor has a bit of an adventurous spirit, enjoying visiting new places and meeting new Yo-Kai. She can get a bit too excited about visiting new places that she'll wonder off on her own without thinking. She isn't afraid to stand up and do what's necessary to protect her loved ones. If Taylor sees something cute, she will immediately want to cuddle or pet it, whether it's a toy, animal, or Yo-Kai. But she will ask for permission first.

character info: Teddnyan, when alive, started out as a normal teddy bear inside a toy claw machine. But no matter how much people tried, nobody was able to get him. And he ended up being forgotten and buried in the very back of the claw machine. That loneliness cause him to transform into Teddnyan. Now when people get possessed by Teddnyan, he causes them to waste their money on claw machines. Teddnyan causes this incident to happen to you - "I went to an arcade, but I ended up spending all my money on a random claw machine without winning anything!". Teddnyan is a big gamer, and will try out almost any type of game. Teddnyan also loves cuddling. Teddnyan can be a bit clumsy at times. Teddnyan is a fan of NyaKB. Teddnyan is adventurous like Taylor, but more cautious.

This crossover story mainly follows the Zenless Zone Zero storyline and takes place after the main story of Yo-Kai Watch 4++. So if you haven't played either of these games (or watched the gameplay), I suggest that you wait to read this story.

Plot; While hanging out with Keita, Fumika, Inaho, and their Yo-Kai friends, Taylor discovers a strange Ark in her belongings which leads the group to a new world door. But when they open the door, instead of being sent to the future or past, all of Springdale ends up fusing together with another world - New Eridu. Now Taylor and her friends must work together with the proxy siblings, Phaethon, to search for a way to restore the two worlds. Along the way, our heroes will adventure together into various Hollows, encounter new friends & allies, fight against dangerous enemies, and uncover the secrets hidden within the old capital.
