A while ago, a friend and I were doing a collab where we'd draw medals for Boss Yo-kai. Things happened and we ended up cancelling it, but I managed to make 3 of them.

Here's a Z medal for Yo-kai Chairman Squiddilius McKraken!

First of all, a question nobody is asking: Why a Z medal? McKraken isn't introduced as a playable Yo-kai until Yo-kai Watch 4.

Well, aside from the lack of medals in YKW4 (though, that won't stop me in the future but 🤫) my friend and I made the rule of giving the Yo-kai whichever "normal" medal is used in the game that released after the game where they debuted! Since bosses such as Slimamander were Bosses in YKW1 and were added as playable in YKW2!

Now for the medal itself, I drew him doing what any politician does: Giving a speech! (whether what he's saying is true or not, I leave it up to you). And before you ask, no, this isn't the same one you see thought Draggie after beating Maddiman, otherwise he'd be in his throne. This is a hypothetical speech he's doing before Nate/Katie freed Whisper.

The Yo-kai in the bg who are passionately listening to him are the White versions of Timidevil, Pinkipoo (added this one because a friend likes them^^) and Slitheref (since I made a Z medal for him long ago lmao). And as for the banner, in B++ there's an Item that allows you to turn a Yo-kai into a "White" Yo-kai, and the symbol used for it is McKraken's hand mouth, so I decided to use it as his "brand."

Honestly hate the fact that ykw4 changed the tribes but they had the GALL to trick us into thinking they’d keep them by having the charming and shady tribes being shown during the intro of the game (before nate goes to shadowside if you check the menu, Baku, Jibanyan, and Hidabat have their original tribes.

Hello! I finished Deltarune, so now I can use this website again without fear of getting spoiled hehe. Now, let's continue from where we left.

Here's a variant I made for one of my favorite Yo-kai from Puni: Boxing Jaen!

Now, since most people don't really know about her due to being a Puni exclusive, I'll try going quickly through her lore. Jaen is a Yokai that comes from a far future (probably after Gakuen since Enma is still relatively young by then) who is a descendant of both Izana (Lord Ananta's tribe) and Mikado (Enma's tribe) tribes. She traveled back to the present simply to fight people due to being really strong and wanting to find a "worthy opponent". Also it isn't directly confirmed, but it's implied she might be the daughter of Enma and Ananta and nothing will ever change my mind about it.

So yeah, a strong woman that fights strong enemies for fun that's also both the Yo-kai World ruler of her own period and the first Yo-kai (that I'm aware of) to belong in 2 tribes (not counting Yo-kai who have both a normal and Shadowside tribe). She's a really cool character imo.

So, why did I give her a boxing outfit? Well, a year ago I made Jaen a medal (that I want to redraw at some point) and the position I gave her made one of my friends, Mvoob, though she looked like a boxer and thought it'd be funny if she had a variant where she was.

Here's what it looks like btw.

So, a couple of weeks ago I decided to draw her! Mvoob likes this character a lot, and since he's the head dev of Yo-kai Craft, he told me he'll add her if I drew her. I'm not sure when she'll be added, but I don't really mind as I enjoyed making her^^

As for the process to make her, I used Boxing Hovernyan from Yo-kai Watch World as reference! And tried to keep her Izana and Mikado emblems as best as I could. As for the belt? I tried making it made out of a gem in a similar way to the Gemnyans, and also tried to "fuse" the emblems of both tribes.

Here's her render without the flames btw! I made it so that people could see her boxing gloves.

And that's all I have to say about her! I hope that you guys liked her and that this post makes more people aware of this kinda underrated character^^
