I'm such a fan of Knuckles being just some guy. Like sure, his situation is far from regular, he has a destiny and all that, and you'd probably assume he's like, gods' favorite or whatever, but actually,in the big scheme of things, he is literally just some guy. And Sonic is the opposite of that

You don't need a license to drive on a race track (which most of the Sonic racing games are on) but I like to think that people turn a blind eye to the main cast (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy) since they are heroes despite none of them being old enough to drive. So yes I headcanon that 9/10 Sonic characters are guilty of under age driving, Rouges license is important because now she'll just be charged for reckless driving instead of reckless and under age/not licensed driving.

im aware that the rules for driving on a racetrack are different than the ones for driving on a normal road but theres also instances of the characters who are below the driving age in most countries driving cars outside of the racing games.. like in idw sonic amy has her own car that she uses to travel not just to race. and theres also an episode of sonic boom where sonic knuckles and tails go on a road trip and sonic drives for a little bit. so yeah i think that most of them are just breaking the law and nobody gives a shit because they save the world so often who are we to tell them what to do. that or the minimum driving age is just lower than what we're used to in real life but the first option is funnier

I have a headcanon for NiGHTS Into Dreams and Sonic the Hedgehog

So, as many know, is commonly believed that the aforementioned franchises occur in the same universe, due to the many cameos of NiGHTS in sonic games and that sonic is a unlockable playable character in Christmas Nights.

I want to take this idea further and explain why did NiGHTS, a Nightmaren (a race of oniric demons created to steal the energy of dreams so their creator, Wizeman, can come to the real world), leave the side of their kind, i want to explain what happened so that NiGHTS turned good.

This is an important question because Wizeman was surprised of NiGHTS betrayal, he made them and yet he doesn't know how or when did they developed a morality, not to mention they're the only Nightmaren to do so.

I'm gonna be straightforward and say that in my headcanon it's Sonic, he turned NiGHTS good. At some point during the "classic era" and before NiGHTS change of heart, they entered Sonic's dream with intention of stealing his Ideya (the dream energy), failing at it, befriending the hedgehog in the process, and realising that they don't like to do what they were made for.

Another thing that i like to believe is that NiGHTS wasn't tall at the moment, being roughly the same size as Classic Sonic, and at one point or another they went though Eggman's dreams, inspiring the creation of Metal NiGHTS.

ppl seem to do this thing in fandoms where theyll take a character whos inherently kind and trusting of people and then they make the fanon version of them ignorant or innocent to certain things by default and i dont like it
