Look, I’m just saying it’d be the sickest fight. Genos might hold a grudge against fish and has firepower to spare, and Undyne’s a monster from the Underground who’s not that keen on humans. Not to mention both of them NEVER GIVE UP.  I’ll make a better version when I have a handle of this tablet’s drawing programs, maybe.

After the season finale of Steven Universe, I just had to draw this poster. What an amazing show, amazing characters, amazing songs, amazing lore, the whole works.

In an effort to update this tumblr with a bit more regularity, here is another poster that debuted at last week's Fanexpo. Started off as me dicking around with crosshatching while I had nothing to do at work, decided to turn it into a print.

Drew this after I finished VLR and turned it into a print on a whim, but when I put it up at my table at Fanexpo, I was surprised and thrilled by the Zero Escape fans that freaked out when they saw it. They even brought their friends back to the table to buy more prints. You guys were awesome!

The Shitennou/Elite Four/Four Devas trope is probably one of my favourite things ever. Of course these guys were going to end up being my favourite part of Kill la Kill.

Hello!  My name’s Ashley, for those of you I’ve never met, and I currently live in Canada!  Unfortunately, my visa is running out in just over a month and I’ve had some bad luck this past year, so I’m dipping a bit low in my funds.  Unless some sort of blessed miracle descends from heaven to smooch me and keep me in Canada, I’m going to have to move super soon.  I’m looking to take some commissions to help buffer my moving costs, since moving pretty much anywhere across the border is pretty pricey!  Every little bit helps, so at the very least thank you very much for looking.

Why did I draw this.

like tbh i feel like my problem with the “dark and gritty!!” trend in modern stories is this

there’s this idea in our culture that cynicism is realistic? that only children believe in happy endings, that people are ultimately selfish and greedy and seeing with clear eyes means seeing the world as an awful place

that idealism is— easy, i guess. butterflies and sunshine and love are easy things to have in your head.

but i’ve known since i was fifteen that idealism— faith in humanity— optimism— is the most difficult thing in the entire world.

i constantly struggle to have faith in humanity, because it’s really, really easy to lose it. it’s easy to look at the news and go “what were you expecting? of course humans behave this way.” it’s easy to see the world and go “ugh, there’s no hope there.” and the years when i believed that were easy. miserable— but easy.

it is hard work to see the good in people. it is hard work to hope. it is hard work to keep faith and love and joy and appreciation for beauty in my daily life.

and when moviemakers and tv producers and writers go “omg!!! all characters are selfish and act poorly and don’t love each other, nothing ever happens that is happy or good, that’s so much more realistic, that’s so much more adult”

I was trying to finish this as a proper painting, but I keep liking the rough lines way more. So maybe it’ll just stay this way - as an unfinished counterpart to the Elizabeth poster.
