As he opened the door, Manic made a tiny sound. Ferrell froze, dropping his gaze to the green bundle in his arms. Manic’s pink eyes were open, squinting up at Ferrell. He didn’t look like he was really awake, blinking slowly and tilting his head ever so slightly. He opened his mouth to try and say something but all that really came out was a weak croak.  “Shh, sh,” Ferrell cut in, shouldering his way into the room the rest of the way. “You’re okay.
