i get so annoyed with all the “haha slaanesh is the sex god” jokes because like. that becomes all anyone ever talks about, and it gets talked about in such a jokey way, rarely as part of a serious conversation.

and certainly that can be an aspect of slaanesh. it’s not that i think we should ignore it, but it’s kind of. obvious? and overplayed? and there’s other, weirder, more interesting, more esoteric things you can do with the concept of excess and obsession, you know? sure, slaanesh is a lust guy, but she can also be about other kinds of excess, other kinds of greed.

like. someone so obsessed with the beauty of gems, and the ugliness of humanity, that they begin to replace body parts with precious stones. a guy so obsessed with a certain book he begins to hunt all copies of the book in existence, but still doesn’t feel satisfied when he has them all, leading to a meltdown tattooing the book on his body, etc. a lady who loves plants so much she covers every inch of her living space with them, and then starts to slowly growing into them herself.

maybe it’s just the cosmic horror fan in me but. i just want weirder slaanesh content from fandom, idk.

as much as i dislike graham mcneill, even he gave us the art obsession angle. serena becoming increasingly frustrated with her art, culminating with her painting with the blood of a man she murdered? now that’s that slaanesh horror that i want to see. and canon does provide! but i wish i saw more interest in that among fans too.

anyway, local 40k fan is cranky about other 40k fans. news at 11.

Real question for y’all

I’ve been debating posting my WH40k art here for a while—I’ve got a Primarch mf that I made with @ask-the-crimson-king a while back

Also I’ve been thinkin about having a set of que’ed questions and such set up so y’all can go on about whatever it is (fav faction / fav primarch / etc.)

It took a while, but Drukhari finally discovered that Repentia CAN be tortured. Hi hello, y’all can call me Parker or Myles. I step in and out of the WH40K fandom due to changing hyperfixations—though it’s safe to say WH40K is a special interest

I’ve read a few books, been playing Deathwing lately, looked into some lore (as much as my brain could handle anyways)
