Young of Prism #01: Shin & Louis

This is the first in a series of short stories printed in PASH magazine about the King of Prism characters when they are around the age of 2-4ish years old.

Translators notes: As Louis is perceived as a girl by Shin, I felt the need to avoid pronouns as much as possible. This makes things even more confusing in English, since ルヰ could be vaguely acceptable as a girls name but the official English spelling is “Louis” so it’s like… aauugh… but the pronunciation is “rui” and Shin repeats it back phonetically (るい) so in my version he heard it wrong. Well, anyway, this was originally written in prose as it is so I could kinda avoid pronouns for a lot of it. But also because of that, and the nature of Japanese in general missing pronouns, there are a few points in this story when it was unclear (to me) exactly who was doing what. I decided based on context after just reading it over and over again. If you read the Japanese and think I got something wrong, please do let me know. I tried my best to capture the atmosphere of the original story!

King of prism

OK @lunawings already said it in many post but seriously for the sake of king of prism and the pretty series overseas go watch and rate SSS on crunchyroll.

I get why people watch things illegally when there is no other issue like it's not out in your country or you can't afford it. But crunchyroll catalog is free expect for the first week an episode aired. We don't know how many people watched it, but there's around 20 peoples who rated each episodes and around 4 comments on the platform . And we're way more to watch the show.

Even if you watched it illegally the first week, please go back to crunchyroll on the second and play it (even in the backgrounds just for a view sake), comments and rate.

I never thought we would get the chance to have king of prism taken by any anime streaming company but if the community does it right we may expect even bigger things concerning the pretty series overseas and to get any future king of prism seasons or movies.

This community is amazing so please do it! ✨
