Hello guys, gals, nonbinary pals, and every other lovely person in this community! The time has come for your (second) favorite challenge! Thanks to you all for voting on the polls, this challenge is a little different than previous years despite some of the winners but we hope you’ll still enjoy!

Rules

This challenge is for LGBTQ+ ocs only… hence why it’s called the pride challenge.

Tag your posts with #opc2023 in order to have them reblogged. (please do not tag any non-challenge related edits with this)

DON’T steal edits. If you feel your edit or someone else’s has been stolen, report it to our submission box by following these guidelines.

If you want to make a crossover edit with somebody else’s oc, make sure the other person is okay with crossovers.

Synopsis: Arthur was raised in England with a passion for adventure and discovery. Unfortunately, he was born in the mid-20th century, meaning many things were already discovered. He found no real reason to continue his education and went into the first occupational field he came across—a blacksmith.

During his late teenage years and early twenties, he couldn't make ends meet with the pay from his job. This prompted him into a life of pirating. Of course, by now, that word just meant thieving. He stole from major alcohol distributors and resold the merchandise through a third party.

On his twenty-fifth birthday, the police came to arrest him at his third-party site. Arthur fled to Scotland and began to work at a bookstore near the inn he was staying at. A woman that works at the inn captivates his attention and the two begin to date for several months.

One day, she goes "missing", and he follows the paper trail she leaves behind which leads him to Craigh na Dun and back through time.

➤ Vanka Dostoevsky (fc: kate fleetwood) She is the matriarch of the family. She is a Heartrender that has served the Darkling for decades. She is aware of his true motives and is supportive. Her goal has been to have Grisha children to better serve the Darkling. Vanka has had three husbands and they all have "mysteriously" passed on.

‎‎➤ Adrika Dostoevsky (fc: alyssa sutherland) As the eldest daughter, she has had the most pressure. She is an Inferni, though her powers are barely valued by the Darkling. He utilizes her beauty and seduction to gather information from others. Adrika is in love with the Darkling but he does not reciprocate. She is aware of his truth but she serves him loyally.

‎‎➤ Nikita Dostoevsky (fc: hannah new) She is seen as a disappointment in the family for not being Grisha. Despite this, she has become a remarkable swordswoman and has become fluent in various languages. She has yet served the Darkling, mostly because Vanka has assured him that she would be of no use, but she is to be summoned soon. Nikita is vaguely aware of the Darkling's true nature and strongly dislikes him.

‎‎➤ Anya Dostoevsky (fc: gaia weiss) As the youngest, she is protected by Adrika and Nikita. Neither of them wants her to serve the Darkling, however, Vanka does not care. She is a Squaller, a powerful one at that, and is extremely optimistic. Anya has no idea who the Darkling really is and believes she will become a hero. She has yet to serve.

They all have the same last name because they have taken their mother's maiden name.

Additionally, I plan to reveal Nikita as a unique Grisha that can control electricity (including in the human body) and lightning. This will be called Elerialki and she will wear blue.

I'm unsure about s/os, not really sure where it'll go, but I may have Nikita get with an OC.
