same happened to me, my pride flags got turned into the national flag
but yknow, I won't be scared away, a town just south of mine is drawing a GIGANTIC trans flag and I'm gonna contribute :)
(though I wanna finish drawing Tenna first)
wplace seemed like a fun little place and I enjoyed it for half a week but then a group of people started turning my trans flag into a german flag and removed all other queer stuff in my area and now i wont use it anymore I think

I'm gonna need an Echo Roaring Knight design now based on that Dess Scav
Hell yeah! So do I
Tumblr media
Echoes were difficult but fun to figure out
Yes usually it's the legs that are disco ball glittery but scavengers barely have legs and I wanted to kind of replicate the pose when you first see the roaring knight
Also!! I know it's not the usual cross legged design, but I am a believer that that's only because of the whole embalming process positioning the Benefactors like that
There's also an argument to be made that they're only glittery because of that process butttt, that's lore speculation that isn't relevant lmao
(can you tell I love Rain World Benefactor culture)
Anyway this genuinely was fun to draw I love glittery stuff

RainRune is primarily spamtenna focused because I have to make them doomed in every universe but like. Echo Dess.... it would be so cool (thank you anon who sent me the ideas for scav noelle & dess - I'll probably draw echo dess soon)
and my god I wish I had more energy I genuinely want to design every single major character, ESPECIALLY Queen and Berdly rn for some reason
do I have ideas for them? absolutely not lmao, other than Queen is obviously an iterator and still has that eye screen

Deltarune rain world crossover au but Dess & Noelle are scavengers
Tumblr media
Hell yeah I love that idea
I have a feeling Noelle would have some blue pearls from Spamton (like the pipis in cat petterz) - and perhaps a white one from Mike? (special egg) No idea I haven't thought about this
Perhaps Dess becomes an echo when attempting Ascension, after visiting an iterator for The Mark and everything? Something kept her here in this world and it's probably her issues™
I think maybe Dess took Noelle away from whatever tribe they were from to join a different, nomadic one, back when Noelle was still a child
Also Noelle is hopelessly afraid of lanternmice haha
I'm just spitting out words but. Scavengers fit them so well, thanks for the inspiration!!
Anyway the au name is RainRune now 👍

Okay reblog if you’re an artist who STRONGLY PREFERS reblogs with commentary
People are apparently under the impression that reblogging someone’s art and adding a comment is frowned upon and that can’t possibly be true, every artist I know of sees a reblog-comment as like the ultimate definitive reward for their hard work.
Obviously don’t feel bad for NOT adding a comment if you’re shy or just don’t know what to say, but if there’s something you would like to say about a drawing you’ve liked enough to reblog, I’m pretty sure most artists crave hearing it.

wait there's discourse in the fandom about whether or not Spamton took an acid bath ??
I had no idea that topic was so polarising lmao??? I just enjoy exploring all options and what they do to his character - acid bath is intriguing, so are all other options
Isn't it more fun to explore a character from multiple angles than restricting yourself to being an acid bath hater or truther

Spamtonerator! I have many thoughts
If I had the energy to draw comics I'd tell the story through those but I am unfortunately chronically fatigued so that's a bit too ambitious for me haha
So instead:
Looooong ramble under the cut
(I don't have a name for him yet so I'll just call him Spamton for convenience, same with Tenna haha)
[ I'm assuming you know basic Rain World lore in this ]
As a newer gen iterator, his superstructure was built purely out of necessity. As the rain on the surface grew more and more dangerous, materials became scarce and expensive. The Benefactors that ended up inhabiting his city had to cut costs, resulting in an iterator that only had the bare bones necessary to hypothetically find a solution and to support the people living on top of him. (Yes, this is why he's short, but it causes him Other Issues™ too)
Not only that, much like Five Pebbles, this superstructure had to be built over a holy site - there was no going around it. It was the only nearby place with stable ground and a water supply large enough to support a building as massive as an iterator. Spamton, as a result, was hated by his own people from the moment he was born. As you can expect that is not something that's great for ones mental health 👍
Before I get to what happened to him though, I want to talk about a much older, much beloved iterator: Tenna!
Tenna was built during the Void Fluid Revolution and is one of the first generations of actual iterators, back when The Solution wasn't as pressing of a matter and the rain was not at all a threat. When his rather wealthy Benefactors started living on top of him he had the privilege of powering and even controlling many of their entertainment centres, and he loved it. He felt a sense of pride that he was so important to them!
But being an older model, he couldn't support as many people. So when the rain started to become a serious problem, many of the people in his area couldn't move into his city and had to go somewhere else. A lot of them ended up living on top of Spamton's structure - and because of Tenna's popularity they were able to give Spamton a matching... capelet. thing. To remind them of home :)
Tenna and Spamton quickly became friends. They were neighbours, and Tenna felt like he had to take Spamton under his wing - something Spamton pretended like he resented but in reality he was grateful to have someone to guide him. In return, he taught Tenna a lot about how newer superstructures operated, helping Tenna run more efficiently with newly discovered techniques.
But then the Benefactors, their citizens, ascended En Masse. The iterators were left with only one job: find The Solution. Ascend everything.
Tenna grew... depressed. He had a purpose, technically, but it wasn't the job he prided himself in. It wasn't what made him happy. He was abandoned by his audience, other iterators just didn't appreciate his attempts to bring some joy into their immortal lives. It was a distraction, and that was seen as annoying at best, blasphemous at worst.
Spamton enjoyed it, though. In secret. He never told a soul, but he honestly gave a lot less of a damn about The Solution than he probably should (even if he was always loudly claiming to be the one who would find it -- he was definitely compensating for something). Tenna thought of Spamton as his sole audience, his only friend. The only one keeping him sane, the one he desperately, desperately depended on.
Fast forward many cycles, and somewhere on the other side of the world Sliver of Straw was crossed out after sending the Triple Affirmative.
Spamton started getting ... thoughts. But, he made sure they stayed just that. Thoughts. His sense of purpose was found in being Tenna's friend, and the blasphemy of following in SoS' footsteps by crossing himself out wasn't worth the risk to explore.
He and Tenna were as honestly as happy as two codependent immortal immobile superstructures could be - until an anonymous iterator approached Spamton's inbox.
Anonymous Iterator who is basically the Gaster, the FRIEND, the Mike, the whatever Spamton's phone buddy was (I'll be referring to them as Mike from now on for convenience), wasn't exactly the most morally sound iterator.
SoS's death gave them some ... ideas. Ideas way too risky to explore alone. They needed some guinea pigs if they wanted to find a way to bypass the taboos installed in their system to find The Solution.
They went anonymous and reached out to several nearby iterators. Spamton was one of them.
Mike was approachable. Friendly. The right person to vent a lot of blasphemous thoughts to. They quickly befriended Spamton by appealing to the side of him that nobody, not even Tenna, got to see.
One day, they told Spamton they might have an alternative Solution. A selfish one, but perhaps the only one that could be a way out for an iterator. Spamton didn't want to hear it at first. Refused to even entertain the idea.
Mike sent a slugcat with a pearl containing the instructions anyway (I imagine this slugcat looks like IMAGE_FRIEND :] ). Spamton was furious, but couldn't bring himself to throw the pearl away.
Tenna had started to notice Spamton was talking to him a lot less. They got into a fight over it, and Spamton revealed he made a friend that he had kept secret from Tenna. Tenna felt very betrayed - he blocked any of Spamton's attempts at communication for several cycles. (Yeah they're toxic lmao, it's worse than what I'm summarising here but)
Spamton was like "fine sure, ignore me, I'll find the solution and then you'll see you do nothing but slow me down anyway. I don't need you"
He pulled a Pebbles, he isolated himself from the world to use the instructions sent to him in Mike's pearl. It required the utmost concentration after all, not even the smallest of details could go wrong.
In the meantime, Tenna got out of his episode. He noticed Spamton had completely isolated himself and at first thought that he just needed some time. But cycles passed, there still was no contact, and he got worried. He attempted contacting him. And again. And again.
When his attempts were unsuccessful, Tenna started... spiraling a little.
He knew Spamton's systems intimately and figured out a loophole that got him through the blocked communication. Tenna established a call, just to make sure his friend was okay. Startled, Spamton lost concentration. He fucked up the most crucial step on the pearl.
And it was all Tenna's fault.
Rot developed, though Spamton kept this a secret. He wasn't speaking to Tenna anymore. He fixed the communication loophole, and isolated himself for anyone but Mike, but they were never heard from again.
The iterator world got a very harsh wake-up call one day, when the global communication network suddenly got filled with the Triple Affirmative. It was posted at a rate so fast no other messages were able to get through. It broke the systems. Global communication was no longer possible. The origin? None other than Spamton G Spamton. The rot got into his communication systems.
Cycles upon cycles this was a problem. Everybody tried to contact him to stop, but he was unreachable, and it didn't slow down. Not for a long, long time. If an overseer was sent into his can, it became crystal clear that this spam of Triple Affirmatives was false. Spamton was rotting and dying and glitching the fuck out.
When the global channels became quiet again, it was only because Spamton's communication systems were damaged beyond repair.
His can was losing structural integrity and he'd soon collapse.
Now technically this is a summary on all I have on this au but I have a feeling that after all this Tenna does find a way to reconnect to him somehow and talk it all out, albeit with Spamton's damaged communication. Yes, this gives him his speech quirk. They get to be sorta happy again hooray !!
I might?? end up drawing some comics for this anyway??? but this is here in case I don't
Oh and for clarification, "It was all Tenna's fault" isn't me blaming Tenna, it's me saying they both blame him for it. Tenna also blames Spamton though .. and honestly so does Spamton. It's complicated. Many emotions.
