Seriously, it is a bad idea to Isekai me anywhere, unless you want me to be the Anime Antagonist. I can’t help it, it’s just very easy to accomplish with the knowledge i have gained from Unrestricted internet access.

Does anyone else think that Max Patel has a way darker past than ewe are led to believe? Can you honestly and with all certainty tell me that this man isn’t holding onto the memories of a secret life before joining up with the RDA? I think not. While Max is indeed quite a friendly character (My fiancé went as far as to say he has “Brown Dad Energy” - Apparently, I have the same vibes 🤨), he just triggers something in the back of my head that just says “This man is hiding something from his past”
So this post is what I believe this mysterious path to be:
- Born and raised in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, Max was born to an engineer father and a neuroscientist mother. He quickly developed a passion for science, specifically neuroscience. From the time he was a child to a teenager, he was fascinated -borderline obsessed- with the human brain
- In the background, however, Max’s father was struggling to make ends meet. Don’t get me wrong he had integrity but it was harder and harder to ignore the gangs of thieves that wanted his expertise. You see, Max’s father was the engineer that developed the technology that allows for the Valkyrie to fly. This also means that Max’s father knew enough about the Valkyrie to supply these gangs with the whereabouts of smuggler’s spaces, to stash contraband and the like.
- Eventually, the gangs left Max’s father alone but not before setting there sights on another target. At this point in time, Research about Pandora and the ability Tsayhelu was just reaching the population and by extension, the criminal elements. This made every warlord, cartel leader and triad boss extremely giddy. With the ability to look into the minds of others, so much could be done to further their goals. Blackmail, espionage, interrogation - the list could go on, but these where the main ones.
- The gangs knew that they could lean on a more impressionable Max and get him to assist in developing the technology to make Tsayhelu work for them and their activities. It wasn’t hard - Max was smart but socially stunted, so when a group of peers took interest in him, he leapt at the opportunity.
- Eventually, Max realised that this gang wasn’t actually looking to be his friend. However, by that time it too late. Max had become an expert in Interrogation, combat and had developed the first prototype of the All Seeing Eye (The device used on Spider while captive by the RDA). Max had even made a name for himself as ‘The Dread Doctor’ (I’m sure with something like the All Seeing Eye at your disposal, you can guess why that title was appropriate)
- Soon enough, Max couldn’t handle the amount of deaths caused by his A.S.E. prototype & the amount he has caused on behalf of the gang. At this point in his life, Max had already met Grace Augustine. Grace was looking to headhunt his mother for the mission to Pandora, but she declined citing a need to remain and take care of her family.
- Grace had offered a way out for Max & not long after Max was accepted into University, the RDA shut down the gang and ‘destroyed’ Max’s prototype to prevent it from getting into anyone else’s hands. Within no time Max was away and studying to join Dr Augustine when she would journey to Pandora.
Obviously there is more to talk about with this backstory, but these are the broad strokes and im sure that people who read this have much better ideas to improve this idea. I hope you all liked this because it was a miracle that I remembered to write this, in all honesty. My procrastination has reached all new levels as we come closer to my Uni Exams.
Yours faithfully,
A nursing student with very misplaced priorities in life

Badass Spider has my heart. Neither Neytiri nor Jake have the right to scold him, they never took care of him, one insults him and the other just lets that happen. Mo'at and Kiri would talk about how he distanced himself from Eywa and that it is everyone's fault. Quaritch recom is worried, because his son is the version of John Wick, what happened in these 16 years. And with the size of Spider and Quaritch I have always imagined that he sees him as a baby, not because I see that he is a teenager but that he missed it all his childhood and now he is on Pandora, when he should have been on Earth with your money and house or apartment studying, etc. And to top it off, his mouth says insults and his eyes say negligence.
This is absolutely spot on. Neytiri and Jake absolutely don’t have a right to scold him, and Max would make absolute sure of that. I also think Max would just start saying everything on his mind about this situation (“Neytiri, you are nothing but a traumatised child who refused to heal and your husband is a man child who knows nothing of how to be supportive without being a doormat”). Yes, I know he wouldn’t actually say that, and what was said is absolutely out of pocket, but Max is so protective of Spider in this that he will definitely say the most outlandish things just to put people in there place. Reminds me of how Grace used to insult Quaritch but cranked up to 11.
Mo’at and Kiri would be blaming everyone for Spider’s distance from Eywa. Mo’at hoped that she could convince Spider to return to Eywa but all the boy ever wanted to know was medical knowledge, most effective poisons and medicines that can made in the forest on short notice. She was obviously concerned by his request, but hoped that by teaching him it would allow her to get close enough to convince him to stop whatever he was thinking about doing. Unfortunately, it was too late for that.
Initially, Quaritch is excited that his son is a badass. However, upon further thought, he is more than a little concerned. How on earth did his kid get this type of training? The weapons? The armour? The more Quaritch thought about it, the more his blood boiled. Who in their right mind let’s a child become a soldier and doesn’t try and stop him?

I just saw your post about BAMF Spider and like.,.,., BRO!!!! It’s so good!!! Do you have any idea what everyone’s reaction would be?? Or his time in captivity now (going with the scenario he does get captured)??? Is Quaritch going to be proud of BAMF son??? I’m sorry I need to know more
Thanks for the feedback! I was just thinking about adding to this, so this came at the perfect time. I think everyone’s reaction oscillate between outrage about how stupid Spider was by doing this and how how shocked that he was even capable of doing this.
Jake doesn’t not know how to respond, apart from in a very concerned (yet angry) fatherly way. He absolutely doesn’t understand why Spider needs to do this & as Jake is from earth, naturally, the very idea of anyone becoming a child soldier is abhorrent. With all the emotions, Spider’s logic as to why he’s doing this (“This is my home, If I have an opportunity to defend it I will fight every time”) doesn’t get through to him and he ends up dismissing Spider’s beliefs and wants because “he’s just a kid”. Spider eventually gets fed up with this behaviour and decides that since Jake doesn’t want to treat him like he isn’t a perfectly capable combatant, He won’t treat Jake like he’s a General.
SIDE NOTE: Can we all take a moment to realise that Jake had no business leading a long-term campaign against an invading force much stronger than anything Pandora has faced. At best, he should be an advisor or strategist. This man won one fight with the RDA, and that’s only because a Literal God decided to step in. There is a reason he is a corporal - he doesn’t have mindset or skills required to lead a large army against an enemy like the RDA, over the course of what likely will a decade or more. So far, we have seen no attempts to gain intelligence from Bridgehead, develop new and improve existing techniques for eliminating RDA forces (i.e. new weapons & tactics) or even any development in utilising Electronic warfare against the enemy. Rant over.
Neytiri. Is a complicated story. Yes, she is outraged by Spider’s decision for the same reasons as Jake. However, She rationalises by the ‘demon blood’ argument, that this is how Spider will destroy the People by becoming like his father. She denies being at fault for pushing Spider down this path in the first place, reasoning that he didn’t need to become a murderer - he just needed to leave the People alone. She believes the tattoos and Viking braid to be a way to mock the People, which almost causes a fight after they return to High Camp but Jake is there to stop his mate from doing something stupid. Which was good, because Spider was very much ready to throw hands down and fight Neytiri. He could never forgive what she said, and now she wants to attack him over the identity he has come into on his own - yeah, that would end in Neytiri being KO’d. Spider honestly doesn’t care for what she has to say to him, since he doesn’t really care for her opinion since it often revolves around insulting him in some way.
The Sully Kids are very clearly worried for spider but still think it’s cool that He is fighting for his homeland. they wish that they spent more time with him and socialised with him more over the last few months, but they simply didn’t want to aggravate their mother. Looking back on it, they deeply regret not hanging out with him more, because now they can’t really recognise the Spider that they knew in him. Kiri is slightly more upset than the others, because she knows that he is pulling away from Eywa - she can feel it. She begs for Spider to abandon all of this and to rejoin them, reassuring him that her mother will be better towards him. Spider doesn’t believe it though. He likes this version of him - it’s something he was developed and he now feels comfortable as the person he is now. He tells Kiri this much, which prompts Neteyam, Lo’ak & Tuk to step in and try to convince him to give it all up. Spider just walks off, because he can’t possibly handle the sting of this betrayal. He can’t hate his friends for not understanding him, but this is who he is and they will need to accept that.
Norm is absolutely against it. He shuffles between lecturing spider, shouting at him for being so completely stupid & grounding spider from his privileges (access to the workshop, the armoury and gun range, his scorpion, etc. ). Norm has zero grounds to do any of this, because he hasn’t been caring for spider as soon as Max took on that responsibility full time. Before Spider can loose his cool, Max steps in and for the first time in years for Max, He begins cussing out Norm and screaming that Norm has no right to tell Spider what to do and that if he ever starts screaming at his boy again, he will [Blanked out, due to the unspeakable things and threats my mind just conjured up at the thought of Max threatening somebody]. Norm is speechless, his jaw is on the flaw. He has never heard Max swear or act violent in their time knowing each other, so Norm flounders for at least enough time for Max to take Spider away to somewhere safe.
Just as another thing, This would be the first time that Max outright declares Spider his Son. Everybody knew it by this point, but since there was no reason to state something everyone knew (or at least the scientists), it was never said. It was only spoken and declared between Max and Spider when they were together.
Mo’at deserves her own post. I’m putting it in the works to write - so bare with me, please.
In terms of Spider being captured, he does not. When the recom’s show up, Quaritch cannot believe that this is his son. He was worried that his son would look some hippy but this is frankly worse. A tatted up, heavily scarred, blonde-haired white boy, covered in all black fatigues and strapped with three different weapons was not what he had in mind - and he did not like it. When Jake and Neytiri come to the rescue, Spider took that as an opportunity to distract the recoms and start mowing them down with their own guns. He refused to have Neytiri of all people save him. He was only her because Lo’ak invited him and Spider only accept because he knew that Lo’ak was going to get everyone killed so he should tag along to stop him before that happens. Quaritch is in complete awe about how terrifying his son is (“That boy is a true Quaritch right there!”), but he has to retreat because he will in fact die and if what his son is shouting at him - he will die very slowly.
This is an incredibly long post for me to right, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. If anybody wants to send in more asks, I will gladly answer them. However, I’m exhausted from a long day of work and writing so I’m gonna nap for a bit.
Yours,
A uni student with consistently low levels of sleep

I can’t stop imagining spider becoming an absolute badass, like the amount of ideas literally keep me up at night. For example, imagine that one day, Neytiri just goes off on Spider and says the most foul things to him - stuff that was so horrendous, even people who equally hated Spider being around had to try and calm her down, because what she was saying was completely out of line. To spider, he’s heard this all from the People, the Scientists, the McCoskers - but Neytiri always strikes a cord that can’t be fixed or shrugged off easily. The only thing that snaps him from his thoughts, was what Neytiri said next while she was being pulled away from the situation.
“You will never be One of the People. Your father is a Demon, and your mother is worse for ever loving him and producing such Spawn”
There it is the breaking point. Spider has always turned the other cheek when it comes to people that insult him or insult him by comparing him to his father. He always found that retaliation and tantrums only proved his accusers assumptions correct. But nobody. Nobody insults his mother. Spider could have screamed back and shouted bloody murder at her, but at this point, he just doesn’t care. She isn’t worth trying to prove himself to. His siblings know who he is, that’s enough.
From that day on, he doesn’t go to High Camp again and doesn’t wear his loincloth. He starts wearing cargo pants and tank tops, but he keeps his armbands, knife and jewellery. He wants to come into his own identity, but he can’t shed what remains of his past life (trying to be part of the Omaticaya). Personally, I don’t think that Norm and the other Scientists wouldn’t care too much about what spider does until he crosses a line or breaks a rule that they haven’t outright told him (that kind of behaviour is traumatising, I would know 🙂). So when figures out to give himself piercings and tattoos, they are livid. They are shocked at the transformation - where painted blue stripes used to be, there were inky black stripes that passed over every limb and even on his face; where dirty brown locs used to be, golden blond hair was fashioned into a Viking braid reaching down his back (similar to a kuru).
The only person that understands and doesn’t overreact is Max. Personally, that man was a dark horse in his family before he came to Pandora, I know it in my soul (Headcanon coming soon or after this post). He takes it on himself to support Spider and nurture his clear talents. He wishes he could have raised spider as his own, but knew that he would be shunned by his colleagues for raising his son - he couldn’t be seen as a disgrace after his time as a child.
Spider had a number of talents and skills, including Engineering, Chemistry, Languages, Marksmanship and martial arts. Max helped to nurture each and everyone. Some days, he would have Spider build and repair weapons and tech. Other days, Spider would learn chemical reactions or a new language. Every evening, Max would instruct Spider in combat and would exercise and lift with him to encourage him. Over the course of a month or two, Spider was unrecognisable. He took in information like a sponge and soon Max was running out of things to teach him. Piloting Samsons and Scorpions - took a few tries, but Spider was truly a born pilot like Paz. Stealth and parkour - He was already a natural, but he was fooling Na’vi warriors more often than not after a week of practice.
Eventually, when Jake started performing raids on RDA Trains, Spider knew it was time to put this all into practice. You see, deep down, he still wanted to prove himself to the People, but not so he could be one of them. He wanted to prove himself, to show them what he forged himself into despite them. However, he knew Jake would never approve him going along - he was still a child. The thought to Spider was ludicrous; Spider never believed he was a child, because no child goes through what he did and remains a child. So he decides to go anyway and doesn’t bother with permission. Though, he does ask Max, who understandably forbids this from happening. After reasoning that he would be safer if he got support to complete this venture, Max relented after hours of back and forth.
And thus, Araña was born. Imagine Winter Soldier getup (Hydra-controlled Bucky, not White Wolf armour) where the half mask acts as his rebreather so he doesn’t risk glass from a regular mask entering his eyes. All manners of weapons are strapped to his body including an Assault Rifle, a revolver (nobody knows that it was actually Quaritch’s revolver that delivered the fatal shot to Grace), A bow and quiver, a LOT of knives and a grenade or two. He looks terrifying but despite this Max feels proud - not about his boy going to fight in a war that has devastated everything he loves, but because this kid, his son, has stepped into his role as a defender and Max is proud of how far Spider has come to reach his goals.
Queue Spider being the biggest menace to RDA society that has ever existed. There was no reason for the Na’vi Ground forces to blow up the rail line, because Spider had already hijacked the train and pulled the breaks. The look of an anonymous Sky Person swing around the train killing and disarming grown men confused everyone in the raiding party, especially the Sully’s. There was something familiar about the acrobatics of this mysterious warrior, the answer on the tips of their tongues. It was only after Spider saved Lo’ak and Neteyam from the missile strike, that everyone realised who this person was. Nobody believed it until Spider spoke and then all he’ll broke loose.
I apologise if this too long or weird, I just needed to get this out of my head. I’ll definitely be adding to this given time, regardless of whether or not people like it, and the only thing that can stop me is my undiagnosed AuDHD.
Farewell to all, Yours sincerely,
Your Favourite Evil Overlord

Can we unaliving our in-laws and partners extended families? I’m just saying I have heard extensively about my fiancé’s paternal family and I was already going to delete them from the land of the living after what they put her through, but now?? I’m straight terminating their subscriptions to life with zero regard for my standing before God. Misogyny, colourism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, adultery, abuse of all forms and variety’s and degrees, ACTUAL attempted murder and profoundly unchecked narcissism - and that’s just her paternal grandparents.
The moment that I marry her, I’m gonna take a week out of my schedule just to go John Wick 1 through 4 on every single member of her family that has wronged in such a mind-blowing and disgusting manner.
Is it bad luck to yeet my father-in-law into the afterlife? That man makes adulterers think he is a legend from myth. I feel so bad for my mother-in-law and feel worse for my fiancé who has to be in the middle of this.
Should I unalive them? Probably not. Would it solve any problems? Absolutely not, if anything it would cause more. But will it remove traumatising people from my future wife’s life and prevent her from ever having to interact with them again? Yes, and it always satisfying to see her happy and smiling despite all the pain she goes through. All I’m saying is I would like to see her happy and smiling more often.

I understand that the Cupcake is inimitable, but listen to me! What if RDA created an animal based on Pandora animal DNA to perform different tasks.. More intelligent animal, obedient, strong, dexterous... Did I create a character just to connect with Quaritch? Maybe.... Meet "Exemplar-27-05"
(also you can try to guess which animal genome was used)  If you want to order a drawing from me, welcome to DM on instagram (http://instagram.com/alexstark2705) or twitter (http://twitter.com/alexstark2705)

It’s only clicked in my head that the reason that Spider hasn’t been blessed to breath Pandora’s Air or connect with the world around him, is due to the fact it’s taken this long for Eywa to develop a method to accomplish this.
Humans aren’t native to Pandora, Eywa doesn’t understand this foreign creation - she can’t change or adopt what she doesn’t understand. Humans and Na’vi are drastically different on a cellular level and developing solution to modify the human nervous system in any way is difficult to do safely and with almost no complications. Under normal circumstances, this task would be impossible.
However, that changed when grace died. When she passed through the Eye of Eywa and was assimilated into Pandora’s hive mind, Eywa now had someone with knowledge on human physiology and how that can be adapted. This knowledge puts Eywa in a much stronger position to Bless Spider, but she would still need to tailor the modifications to match his genetics. Another problem that can be partially solved if Paz Socorro was allowed to be One with Eywa, but not even Eywa wants to assimilate Miles Quaritch into Her collective - even if it is just for Experimentation purposes. The only thing that needs to be done is find a way to connect Spider to a Tree of Souls to begin the modification process.
In my head, this would take about 20 years from Spider’s birth to complete, with the general plan and method to modify worthy humans being created within the first 15 years of that 20 year time-frame. The process would be tremendously faster if someone had even attempted to connect Spider to the tree of souls or bonding him with an Ikran or even a Pali (Kiri had to have tried at least once, but who knows), but other methods would’ve been more brutal and direct. For example, getting a Thanator to attack Spider in order to get a sample of his blood or maybe getting a Viperwolf to do the job.
If Spider gets to breath Pandora’s Air in future movies, this is the reason it took so long. At least from my perspective.

I have a love-hate relationship with the idea that as soon as the Sullys (including Neytiri) and other Na’vi finally realize Spider is truly Na’vi in his soul and try to reach out to connect with him, he turns his back on them. He starts slowly rejecting their ways and embracing his humanity. He’s still friends with the kids and deeply respects Eywa, but distant somehow - he wears more human clothes, the only piece of Na’vi jewelry he wears is the anklet Kiri made him. He cuts his dreads one day and continues to keep his hair short, refusing to let it grow past his ears. His time spent in the human lab engineering new weapons for the war and learning to pilot a Scorpion like his mom increases daily until it’s like they only see him out when he’s doing supply runs or when he’s specifically given a task outside of the lab. The more they try to integrate him into the clan (either Omaticaya or Metkayina), the more he seems to pull away.
Heavy angst, but I like the idea of the Sullys (Jake and Neytiri especially) and the scientists realizing that they were so worried about Spider becoming like his father and sympathizing with humans that they pushed him down that route.

It just clicked in my head how you can’t really gaslight Jason Todd, like at all. He grew up in Gotham and they don’t draw a line at gaslighting children - They don’t draw a line full stop. So I just imagined:
Literally Anyone Trying to Gaslight Jason: *Insert futile statement here*
Jason: Listen my guy, I’m from Gotham. We’re skilled enough at Gaslighting, we use it to light our streets when we have blackouts.
