Not to “um actually” but Um, Actually the Bad Kids didn’t have any chaperones for their Spring Break quest they had hirelings.
Sandra Lynn, Cathilda, Tracker, Ragh, and to a lesser extent, Gilear, were all technically working for the Bad Kids.
The Bad “in charge of 3 legal & 2 near-adults” Kids vs The Rat “need a chaperone because they aren’t good enough” Grinders had wildly different Spring Break quests

I don't think kipperlily, specifically kipperlily, wants the bad kids to die in the specific way that would have the rage God (corrupted ankarna) give them the choice of worshipping her or staying dead. I think kipperlily Hates the bad kids more than anything. If she was sure they would all choose to stay dead, I'm sure she would do it. However, she would have to deal with the chance they would choose to come back. The rest of the rat grinders would probably think of this as a good thing, a group of powerful adventurers working towards the same goal as them, but kipperlilly? Kipperlilly would hate that more than anything. The bad kids being on the same side means that they are going to be what is focused on. They are the main characters, after all. If they are on the same side as her, she losses all the attention she Does have and is forced to be around and work with the people she believes had an unfair advantage in school. She wants attention, the bad kids will always be in the way of that. Imagine if they even had the attention that she wanted from her God.

I feel the need to periodically remind people that Idiocracy is a eugenics movie.
One of the things that eugenicists believe is that it is bad for society when the “wrong people” breed.
The entire premise of the movie is that “stupid people” kept having kids while “smart people” didn’t have kids, and it ruined society because stupid genes propagated while smart genes died out. This is eugenics propaganda.
I know people will read this and their response will be “actually it’s satire” but the movie isn’t satirizing eugenics. It’s satirizing anti-intellectualism, and consumerism, and it proposes eugenics as a solution.
When eugenics was first conceived, it was used as a way to justify inequality. The idea was that people who held privilege were able to do so because they were smarter and genetically superior to lazy and stupid people who don’t have privilege. Obviously this is bad and wrong, but it is also the core lesson of Idiocracy.
The movie literally ends with the main character becoming president and having “the smartest children in the world.” Because he and his wife have smarter genes than everyone else. The proposed solution for the things that Idiocracy is satirizing is for the smart people to have children that can be in charge of the world.
I know it’s fun to use this movie to dunk on anti-intellectualism and the MAGA movement, but we need to stop. When you quote and reference this movie you are spreading eugenics propaganda.

I'm sorry how are the bad kids and by extension Riz specifically not in legend lore for defeating kalvaxus? Like riz is in legend lore for freeing the night yorb but that's not the only "legendary" thing he's done. I fully believe legend lore on Riz should have come up with the bad kids defeating kalvaxus And for Riz Eating kalvaxus as revenge for the death of his father.

dismantling toxic masculinity means we are also obligated to build a culture where it is safe for boys and young men to express their emotions and ask for help as needed.
if you want a generation of men who are respectful and communicative, you first need a generation of boys who are encouraged to express themselves emotionally and who grow up knowing their feelings are valid

So..... what are the chances that buddy will kill Bobby in order to have him choose between helio and the "unknown rage god" (corrupted ankarna) like buddy was forced to do by kipperlily. I'm not sure this is likely but it is interesting to think about.

me: I'm done grieving, I already accepted my illness and all it brings with it, it's totally ok
also me on a random tuesday: my life is never going back to what it was, I'm never going to be able to do the things I loved the most the same, it's over and I gotta learn to live with that but it's kinda impossible because I'm so young and I had so many dreams and so many things I wanted to do that I can't anymore, at least not without all this pain and suffering

i was talkin with some europeans about their healthcare and i realized like, even if i had the means to immigrate, i most likely would not be allowed to in most countries as a single person because I am disabled. This is another major aspect of ableism I don't see talked about often, the way immigration systems across the globe are designed to keep disabled people (who would be 'burdens' on the welfare system) out.

I think the reason a lot of leftists struggle with disability justice is that they haven't moved past the concept that discrimination isn't bad because it's objectively "wrong." yes, sexists are objectively wrong when they try to claim women are dumber than men. yes, antisemites are objectively wrong that jewish people are inherently greedy and run the state. yes, racists are wrong when they try to claim that white people are the superior race. and so on.
but then with disabled people, there are a lot of objective truths to the discrimination we face. people with IDs/LDs do fall behind and struggle with certain concepts. physically disabled people are often weaker and less capable of performing demanding tasks than able bodied people. many of us with mental illnesses are more reckless and less responsible. a lot of us are dependent on others and do not contribute much "worth".
and guess what? disabled people still deserve a place in the world. disabled people still deserve the supports they need. because they are people, and that should be enough to support them and believe they deserve a place at the table.
if your only rebuttal against discrimination is its objective inaccuracies, you are meeting bigots where they are at. you are validating the very concept that if and when people are truly incapable of being equal to the majority, that means they are worth less. this causes some leftists to then try to deny the objective realities of disabled people and/or become ableist themselves.
your rallying behind marginalized groups should start and end with the fact that people are completely worthy of life and equity, because they are fellow human beings and that should, frankly, be enough.
