☕ CoAi, ShinShi and well, basically these 2 characters. (Your thoughts on their romantic relationship and just.. platonic relationship. Their chemistry as a couple or/and partner and all that)
Thanks for playing!
Okay, here's a thing I say very rarely: Damn I wish this was canon.
Generally, I'm not huge on having my ships be canon. I'm much happier in fanon-spaces where everything is up to me to decide. Usually also because I know that the ship itself is very non-canon.
But I really do think that the way the show build up Conan and Ai's dynamic...? Shinichi definitely does have feelings for her, the way she would give him actual pause, the way he looks at her at times.
Ai was such a great addition to the story, to give Shinichi someone he can trust, someone who knows his identity. Sure, the professor, but the professor is also a scatterbrained older man. She's his equal.
And that's what I love about them. They're both brilliant, sharp-witted, snarky. They treat each other as equals, they tease each other as much as they trust each other and rely on each other.
Their dynamic is honestly so central to DC for me? Because I really think that the whole Conan-deal, being stuck as a little child, it must eat you up on the inside. Having everyone treat you that way.
And sure, he also has Hattori, but Hattori isn't always around either.
Ai is someone who gives Shinichi the opportunity to talk to someone and so much more, because she can keep up with him. And she also... she understands him. The amount of communication without words between those two? She just fundamentally gets the way his mind works, she knows what he's up to.
I really love them and their dynamic with each other, the chemistry between them and the way their relationship is one of mutual trust and brilliance.
I don't really see a difference between CoAi and ShinShi, aside from the physicality. So I suppose ShinShi would simply be the endgame solution, when they get their bodies back.
send me ☕️ + [topic] and i’ll tell you my opinion on it!
