But their best laid plans are thrown to the winds by the appearance of an unexpected guest..." A cute, fun little visual novel! You don't have any options/puzzles to solve, it's really just a nice experience of sorts. You take the POV of one of the gay husbands (Wingston). This is like, my favorite, ever. It's so cute and only about ~20 mins long in total so it's easily digestible. (And very very sweet.) CWs: Mild anxiety (resolved quickly & ends happily,) Minor alcohol consumption (Wingston drinks some wine and it has a stronger-than-intended effect on him, making him tired. Also resolved quick and happily.)

PURRGATORY

Playable on Browser, and Windows - Spanish Translation Available  https://nivrad00.itch.io/purrgatory "Purrgatory is a visual novel about passing time in an afterlife where nothing really matters. explore a whimsical point-and-click world, befriend seven charming characters, and remember — furever's not so bad!" Gay people! More simple in style, and has a more casual feel and playful attitude. This game includes a lot of puzzles, and multiple endings depending on what puzzles you complete and what you don't! There is romance, but the character you play as is not involved in them and is also very open-ended. Personally- one of my favorite games. It seems so simple, but the ending made me emotional, and I really loved (and still love) every single one of the characters by the end. HIGHLY Recommend it! CWS: Minor de-reality (not intense, more so just product of the fact you & the characters are stuck in the afterlife.)

LOOKOUTS

Playable on Browser, Androids & Windows. https://paranoidhawk.itch.io/lookouts "Lookouts is a romance visual novel about two gay transmasc outlaws in the old west, finding refuge in each other, and a little hope for a better life. With roughly 45,000 words of story and a 5-6 hour reading time." As the blurb said, a game about two gay transmasc outlaws! I really enjoyed this game, and it took me about 3 hours to complete, with a very high reading speed. You really do not need to make many choices/complete puzzles in this game, it is more like reading a story. In this one you take the POV of one of the romantic partner(s), so keep it in mind. CWS: Gun violence (incl. sound effects), gun death, blood, injury, mild transphobia, discussions of racism and settler violence. None of the injuries are described in great detail but there are some visual aids and allusions/light descriptions.
