Ok gotta talk about it.
As a Jewish historian, I fucking hate Israel in ways most probably will never be able to comprehend. I'm going to try and explain it anyways. The central creation myth of Israel is that it is Jewish, and then consequently, that Israel is a part of Jewishness. Its easy to simply state this is false, but fully comprehending this and putting it into practice in thought and deed seems rare to me.
The evil at the heart of this violence predates the recent acceleration of genocide. Israel is a colony, and more than that, an antisemitic fraud itself. After WW2, when Israel was being founded, the Jews of Europe generally did not wave goodbye to their neighbors and head to the promised land. Many were expelled from their homes. Zionism itself, as an action, was a false choice at the time. A mere excuse to place an ally in the middle east, and an excuse to complete the expulsion and destruction of the European Jew. The Zionist Jew is more than complicit in this, they actively seek the destruction and assimilation of all other Jews.
Many fail to realize, and largely because of Israel, that Jews are not inherently white, Ashkenazi, European-descended people. Our faith and culture has an immense variety that is spread all across the globe. Jewishness, in population and volume of culture, exists more so outside of Israel than within it. Israel is for a very specific kind of Jew. The kind that lets Yiddish die, that attaches themselves to European things, that makes themselves and their practices as white as possible.
And they have the nerve, the fucking belligerent GALL, to frame themselves as the necessary saviors of our people. To the Zionist, questioning Israel is to question Jewishness itself. They bake adoration for the colonial machine into their very prayers, and push them on us even as children. To *not* oppress, to *not* kill, to *not* genocide, is to invite death. This is the core of fascistic thought, of course. "Kill them before they kill us." And they KNOW this too, they really do. The truth of that irony does not matter, because as is true for all fascists, the truth itself does not matter to them. They wanted this, they wanted this even before the British saw it in their best interest to give them the land. Any excuse to RETVRN, as the neo-nazis say of Rome, or the German Empire, or whatever the fuck stupid country they want to poorly animate the corpse of. Some select Zionists even *sided with the fucking Nazis* in agreement they should abandon Europe to colonize Palestine. (Haavara Agreement)
My people have proved time and time and time again you don't need a nation state to have an enduring culture. We have protected ourselves for thousands of years without the help of these spiteful, doom-saying maniacs. I was going to post something like this on Passover, but that would be hypocritical. The state of Israel doesn't actually have shit to do with Jewishness. שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל יְה Vi tsu derleb ikh im shoyn tsu bagrobn. [my best translation] Hear Israel (beginning of a prayer in Hebrew) I should outlive him long enough to bury him. (an old Yiddish curse)
Free Palestine. Donate what you can, they need it right now.

Hey everyone, this is Bisan from Gaza. I'm still alive but Hind is not. Do you remember Hind Rajab? This seven (7) years old child who was missed 12 days ago. Hind was in a car with five (5) family members and they were all killed - except Hind - by an Israeli bomb, and then she called the Ambulance, she asked them to rescue her. Two Ambulance men from the Red Crescent tried to do this but they were also missed. Now; today they were found killed. The body of Hind found killed, found murdered. It's just a new massacre added to the list of endlessly massacres committed by Israel against my people; Palestinians in Gaza right now.
No one holds Israel accountable until now. No one is doing anything. Hind was killed. Who is the next? I don't know, it might be any one of us, but I mean, it's a new, it's a new massacre - she is murdered. You all heard her story, you all heard her voice asking for help saying (Bisan speaks in Arabic first then translates to English the following) "take me with you, take me from here". She was between dead bodies for days, alone and no one could rescue her. We knew where she was, we knew that she was okay, we knew that she could contact the Red Crescent but no one rescued her.

There really is nothing left to say.

“It’s necessary for Palestinians to die because otherwise Israelis would never be able to exterminate Hamas!” “Iraqi citizens had to die because the US had to retaliate for the Iran-backed drone attack!” When will you learn that Arab people are not just collateral fucking damage. When will you learn they are not a means to an end. When will you stop dehumanizing Arab people in your endless attempts to justify the mindless slaughter that has been taking place for years, but which has intensified beyond belief the last four months. Why do you need to be told to treat Arab people like they’re human. Why do you need to be told this. Why do you need to be told.

sometimes i browse zionist blogs just to see what the current talking points are and it always feels like an incredible game of dancing around the point. "jewish people have lived there for centuries" yes true. why are we funding the bombing of civilians. "living under hamas sucks and people in gaza hate them too." yeah i imagine many people in gaza have varying thoughts on the situation. why are we funding the bombing of civllians. "i saw some random twitter account say something antisemetic." im sorry that you were exposed to that. why are we funding the bombing of civilians.

it is becoming abundantly clear that the conglomerate of settler-colonial states that is the UK, US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are going to defend “Israel” until its last breath because admitting that a genocide is occurring and that the UN has jurisdiction here would implicate all of those states’ “right to exist” equally. if what Israel is doing is genocide, if it can be held accountable for it by a world court, and god forbid if it opens the door to decolonization then that sets a precedent for the same to be done to every settler-colonial state supporting it.
this is the biggest proof we’ve had in a long time that these states see the UN as a way to enforce their hegemony and take for granted that global south countries are ornamental in its function. but the reason the “West” are now jumping on these flimsy allegations about a handful of UNRWA agents being involved with the Hamas is because South Africa broke the rule of its ornamentality and then, even worse for them, the ICJ did not maintain its own role in keeping the status quo and backed up South Africa instead. Western powers have been content to throw their weight around in the arms of the UN they have veto power in and, until now, that has been more than enough. but this ICJ preliminary ruling has clarified for all the world to see that an entity that these states saw as an extension of their own hegemony, that they have granted legitimacy to, can and will ignore the assumed hegemonic alignment of the UN as an entity to rule in favor of the actual evidence if given the chance, which is an immense threat to the status quo.

Correction: because 12 employees ALEDGEDLY "may have been" involved (who knows what "involved" even means - if they made cakes for a terrorist once it might count).
Note that these new allegations come from the same colonizers who made up the 40 beheaded babies lie, baby in the oven lie, Hamas-base under hospital lie, and so many other lies who's counting at this point.
And of course, they make these allegations on the exact same day as the results of the ICJ preliminary ruling. What a fucking coincidence. The world's highest court just said that it's very probable that they're genociding these people and their answer is "you know what? we're gonna genocide them even QUICKER now, happy?" Terrorists fucks.
Oh my gosh
Tumblr media
This is pure evil. They say 12 employees participated in Oct 7th so they have to stop feeding the entire population????

Hi, I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. Gaza has been has been bombarded, cut form electricity, not received aid, etc. So how do we get pictures and videos of what's happening there? Because surely , Israel would've cut internet at the same time than electricity.
I'm not trying to deny what's happening in Palestine , just understanding better. Where I live there's not coverage or news about it in the media so all I know is from social medias and we all know we can't trust everything on here.
Thanks
I think that’s a fair question to have.
Palestinians have always had to be creative when it comes to finding ways of survival.
For starters, when this aggression was in its early stages, telecom companies like PalTel would assure everyone that their coverage is built to last longer than other companies because, according to their CEO, they have been preparing for war for 15 years. For example, contrary to what other telecom companies do, PalTel run their cables way deeper than necessary to ensure less effects of bombing.
Later though, even PalTel had to go out of service for the most part due to Israel’s relentless bombing. Not to mention, Israel deliberately targets and kills telecom company workers who even try to repair damages to what remained of the network.
Now, the only viable option that Palestinians in Gaza have to connect with the outside world is in fact through e-SIMs. This initiative was started by Egyptian activist Mirna El Helbawi which you can actually donate to and help connect people in Gaza to reach their loved ones and to get help when needed. We hear stories every day of people not being able to notify the civil defense or medics about wounded people following airstrikes who later succumb to their injuries.
As for electricity, at the beginning of all of this carnage, people would use generators. This is actually quite a normal practice as the electricity in Gaza was never provided consistently so people would switch to generators regularly. However, generators are powered by fuel, which is something else that Israel cut off the strip.
So when people and shops ran out of fuel, people started utilising solar panels and continue to do that as their main source to charge phones. Some people would even start applying a fee to allow people to use their charging stations, which are usually set up in tents or on top of cars. Others would walk miles every day to access free solar powered charging stations to be able to charge their phones.
Still, Israel started targeting solar panels specifically so they are not as widely available as before and the dust and debris from bombing rendered a lot of those panels useless. Some people started using car batteries to set up charging stations now.
With all of that, connections are weak and spotty and some people literally travel to other areas under so much threat just so they can connect and hear the voices of their loved ones. I was actually watching a video earlier today that shows people going on hilltops, raising their arms up hoping to "catch" a signal.
When it comes to the pictures and videos, remember that what you’re seeing, with all its magnitude, is a drop in a sea of Israeli terror against Gaza. Journalists have literally sacrificed their lives trying to get the word out. Kids started to record and share videos because even they realise that this horror is too much for them to bear alone. This is why it is crucial to amplify their voices and share their stories because they’re literally doing it in the most impossible of situations.

i believe palestine will be free with my whole heart. the dutch colonized indonesia for 300 years, indonesians, even those who practice indigenous religion, are still here. west papuans are fighting for their independence from indonesia and american settlers, and they are still here. the invasion and bombings of vietnam, laos, and cambodia lasted for 20 years, and i have met some of the most brilliant asian people descended from there. and that was the first televised war! palestine will be free! from the river to the sea. the indigenous/global south world has always survived, and i believe it will live and flourish in the future (in my lifetime) no matter what.
