i am lucky enough to have an amazing mother. i have never in my life doubted that my mom loves me. but ever since becoming a mother, i can't stop thinking about how much she must love me. it makes me so emotional, i can't help but appreciate her so so much more knowing what kind of feelings she must feel toward us, knowing just how much we mean to her, because my daughter is truly the light of my life.

if my daughter grows up to love and appreciate me a quarter of how much I love my mom, i will feel like i have succeeded in life

An aquarium in Japan was closed for renovations, and their resident sunfish got depressed not seeing visitors. So the staff put some uniforms with printed faces against the tank, and it immediately recovered.

your white appliances post made me think about our white fridge. we got it from a second hand appliance store 10+ years ago for a really, really good price. we think it's from the late 90s. it's just one of those old white fridges with the fridge on bottom and freezer on top. and you know what it matches? our cheapish white dishwasher and the 80s white double oven that came with the house. i can't imagine having stainless steal appliances. i'd feel too fancy tbh.

that's my issue right now, we need to get a new fridge but i don't want to get rid of my perfectly working oven that came with the house and the dishwasher i bought off of some guy for 20$ and i for the life of me can't find a white fridge of correct dimensions
