Really amazing....check it out!
Tumblr media
Hello, lovelies! I’ve gotten a couple of asks about studying so I decided to condense them into one post for you guys! I’m trying to hit a bunch of different topics so if you need an even more specific post you can send an ask! Without any further ado, have some tips! My studyblr is @spacey-scholar
Prep
First, you always need a good base for your day! Especially if you’re studying a lot.
Make a good full breakfast! Ex. Eggs and Toast, Smoothie and fruit, Pancakes and a cup of juice.
How’s your hygiene? Do you need to shower, brush your teeth, wash your face, condition your hair? Do it! You’ll be distracted if you feel messy!
Get dressed like it’s a normal day. Staying in PJ’s is okay! But being ready for the day seriously helps focus!
Likewise, your space should be clean. A clean space is a clean mind! Remove dishes, trash, scrap paper, and extra items. Wide down your desk, organize your pens and books. Your space should feel like your space!
Now make a list of what you need to get done! What needs to be done Now, what needs to be done Soon, and what needs to be done Later?
Order your list how you want your day to go, and don’t put super-tough subjects back to back, or subjects that are similar exercises i.e. reading thirty pages of two different books back to back is no fun.
The Studying
It’s important to buckle down with No Distractions! If you find yourself distracted put your phone away! If you need your phone, put it on Do Not Disturb until you’re done. I also do this at night for better sleep.
Pick the best technique for you, Pomodoro, reward-based, group studying, etc.
Play music but only if it will not distract you! If you sing along or daydream it’s the wrong music! Classical, Lo-fi, and White noise are all good! My Spotify Here has some good ones.
Use a nice journal (I don’t mean expensive!) and pens/pencils you enjoy using. I like to have a specific journal and color dedicated to each subject.
Take notes on recorded lectures and classes, if you’re doing online classes right now try to screen record or record the audio! That way if you space out you can play it later and take notes, and you can absorb the lesson better instead of being distracted.
Don’t worry about your notes, stationary, pictures, being beautiful and your grades being perfect. Life doesn’t always look the way it does on Instagram. And the people who spend hours trying to get a good photo of their coffee are not studying!
Use flashcards! Quizlet is good if you need premade ones! If you can save up and buy them, Barrons AP Flash Cards are the best in my opinion. Very clean, not too long, very durable, and cover all subjects.
Feeling Distracted
If you catch yourself drifting off and getting into your head, get up and take a quick walk, stretch, or energizer.
It’s okay if this happens, don’t guilt yourself! practice affirmation. The best and smartest still get distracted.
If you are drifting, why? Are you hungry? Tired? Thirsty? Bored? Get a snack and some water, take a break and rest, find a way to make your studying more enjoyable.
Remember that Motivation and Discipline are different things. Sometimes we just won’t be motivated, we won’t want to do it and it will be rather frustrating. But the cure to this is not shaming its discipline. Remind yourself “This may be hard, and I may not want to do this, but I want to reach my goals and If this is what It takes I will make it happen.
Always do just one more page of you’re tired. One at a time and oh you did it! Maybe just one more? One more? Eh, one more just to finish the train of thought, Oh just- I’m done? Nice!
If you really can’t focus just move on and come back to this subject, you can always ask for help.
Supplementary Things
There are so many apps you can use to study, for free! My favorites are Tide, Quizlet, Focus Keeper, Forest, Flora, Egenda, SpanishDict, Photomath, and Kahn Academy.
You can also join a study group! You may know one, but if you don’t, there are a lot of online ones! I’m in a study Discord and have been for a while! it helps a lot and motivates me to finish my work!
You can make a studyblr, but don’t do it just for the aesthetics! It’s about studying, and sometimes that gets messy! Sometimes we fail a test, we spill our tea on our notes, we cry because we don’t understand the formula. That’s the part you don’t see!
Having cute stationery can really help, as well as nice organizers and decorations for your space! I don’t have much money so I get a lot of stuff on Amazon or FB Marketplace.
Health
Remember that no matter what you are good enough. It’s okay if you fail, it’s okay if you struggle.
It’s also okay if your path doesn’t go the way you expected! Maybe you go to a different school than expected! Or choose a trade instead! Maybe you take a gap year! Maybe your passion changes! Maybe it changes six times!
Your health is always more important than your school. If you are in pain, mentally or physically, if you are anxious, exhausted, burnt out, talk to your teachers about it! You matter more than a grade.
Your best is good enough! And your best doesn’t look the same as someone else’s best! Don’t compare!
Now go get out there and study!

HOW TO KEEP PROCRASTINATION AT BAY
Tumblr media
We all have the habit of delaying tasks to the last moment only to panic then. In order to get the work done then, you might need to continuously work for hours without resting. This only ends up in frustration, completing the work just for the sake of getting it done without much interest. Given below are some tips that can be used to keep procrastination at bay:
BE ORGANISED
Learn how to keep things in an organized way, you might receive many assignments in a week with different deadline for each so keep a record of the same in a calendar or some other apps. Set reminder for each if you feel there are high chances of forgetting. Sometimes there are so many things that are loaded at the same time so it is necessary to have a reminder.
SET MENTAL DEADLINE
Have a mental deadline for each task, if you have an assignment that is due next week, try to complete it 1-2 days in advance. This will give you ample amount of time to make changes and handle things if required instantly. This will also help you avoid last moment issues like not being able to complete it or plagiarism level and so on.
TAKE BREAKS
This is one of the simplest yet most useful tips to increase work efficiency. No matter whether you have to study for long hours or do an assignment, you should always take short breaks of  5-10 mins after every 30 mins. During this time you can have some snacks, listen to a song, walk for a while, check social media, etc. After the break you will find yourself able to focus better than if you would have continued it. So instead of getting things done in one go while sitting for hours, focus on having breaks and doing it.
DO HARD THINGS FIRST
Most of the time it is because of the harder part that we keep on postponing the whole thing. The best way to tackle this is to do that part first, if you have to complete some mathematical problems do it, after that the rest of the part won’t take much time. Same applies for learning as well, study the harder topics first and then go for the easier ones. After completing the harder part you will feel the enthusiasm and will have confidence to go for the rest also.
REWARD YOURSELF
Yes this is the best way to keep you on track yourself. For example you can have your favorite ice cream if you finish your assignment in advance, or you can sleep for few more hours. If you score well in the exam you can take yourself on trip to some of your favorite places. This way you really can do almost all things in a better way!

8 Tips to Ace Any Job Interview
Tumblr media
No matter where you apply for jobs, you will have to appear for an interview. It gives you a chance to show your qualifications and get in touch with potential employer by giving your best. In this article you can get several tips that will help to ace an interview.
Research your organisation
Search about the company and the employer. Visit their website if any and you can get a lot of information. See the values and the kind of culture that is portrayed there. See for the website's listing on other platforms. Try to collect as much as you can. See what business model they adopt, their market and so on. This will put you in a better place not only to answer questions but ask questions if given chance.
Look for the various latest news and developments, in case you get selected you might be put in the same project. See for things that you can recommend there. Researching will give you confidence while speaking in the interview.
Read the job description properly
Many times we overlook this and it can end up in putting you in trouble. Get to know it completely. See for the skills and qualifications that are required. Match your skills with it and think of aligning it so that you can actually tell the hiring team about it. Read the responsibilities that will be assigned to you. Prepare yourself to answer all sorts of questions related to it as you never know what you will be asked for.
Practice answering questions
There are some standard questions that will be asked related to qualification, previous experience if any, co-curricular activities, strengths and weaknesses etc. Practice answering these questions, know the points that you will be using while answering them. Just don’t by heart them as it can really show negative affect.
Know the questions you would ask
After researching and going through Job Description you should be in a position to know certain questions that you would like to ask if given chance. It can be related to work culture, industry specific or organizational developments, challenges etc.
Dress well and carry necessary documents
It is required to dress professionally and in a decent manner or as per the code given (if any). You can also get a hint of dress code by seeing things on their website or asking people working in same or a similar organization. Also carry necessary documents like resume, photograph, mark sheets, training or experience certificates (if any).
Reach on time
Always arrive 5-10 mins earlier than the schedule that is given. This shows your punctuality and interest in the job.
General etiquettes
Appearing for an interview means you need to be careful with everything starting from your arrival into the organization because you will be observed for each and everything. Be it your dress, your way of talking, walking, and so on. You have to be very careful while answering questions based on religion or political issue because the employer will want a person who can adopt the work culture and go with everybody and everything. Make sure to communicate well showing confidence but do not try to be someone you are not.
Follow up
Most of the times you will get to know the result in a day or so but if not then you can try to send an email to know the status and look into the next step.

Strategies for Working Smarter: How to Get a Return on Your Studying Investment
Becoming a better and more efficient student means prioritizing working smarter, not harder. I have done a number of posts on specific strategies for optimal studying, but today I really wanted to talk about studying in the most efficient way.
Many students view their assignment lists or syllabi, as a to-do list of assignments which must get done. Realistically, this is not the best strategy, because it does not prioritize more critical assignments, nor is it good for your mental health. Here are my top five tips on getting the maximum “return on investment” (ROI) when studying.
Tumblr media
Tip 1: Review All of Your Syllabi Each Week, and Make a List of all of the Readings, Assignments, Homework, Quizzes, Tests, and Papers.
I like to review all of my syllabi on both a monthly and weekly basis, to make sure that I have all upcoming assignments recorded. As I do this, however, I make sure to check to see how much individual assignments are worth and to think through what my top priorities ought to be. I recommend highlighting these, or crossing out less important assignments.
Tumblr media
Tip 2: Regularly Review Your Grades in Each Class, and Think About the Impacts That Different Assignments Might Have on Those Grades.
Let’s say you have a teacher of professor nice enough to offer 5 points of extra credit, but the extra credit assignment will take 2 hours to complete. If you already have an A is the assignment really worth the time? What if you have a B, but the 5 points won’t even give you enough of a boost to get to a B+? This is where you have to balance your priorities with the impacts.
Tumblr media
Tip 3: Some assignments are worth turning in late, or not turning in at all.
If the assignment is not worth much, and you have a huge test or paper coming up next week, it may be in your best interest to take a percentage dock just this once, and either turn it in late or not at all.
Tumblr media
Tip 4: Use computer grade calculators.
Admittedly, I am not very good at math, so figuring out how much certain assignments might impact my grade is not one of my strong suits. That’s why I like to use online grade calculators to crunch the numbers.
Tumblr media
Tip 5: Stay Calm, Take Deep Breaths, and Check Yourself
Whenever you start to feel overwhelmed or stressed out by an assignment. Ask yourself “is this stress really worth it?” What is the worst case scenario? Seriously. Breathe in. Relax. It is going to be ok.
Tumblr media
I hope these tips helped you with your prioritization skills, and with keeping things in perspective.

Keep believing in yourself............
