Hello. i am a huge fan of your work. i was wondering if you could explain how you achieve such hazy, textural gradient backgrounds on procreate. i love the texture and would love to know any details. I hope this is ok to ask, thank you!

firstly thank you very much!! and so sorry this took centuries for me to respond to..

of course! 99% of what i make is digital, on procreate, so getting used to the brushes you like is so important and what makes creating texture possible. i really recommend charcoal style or watercolour brushes as they can really make the art look analogue. i also love using the retro supply co texture brushes, theyre super grainy and lovely.

adding and layering up texture is my favourite part of the process, so I spend a lot of time doing this. try adding different layers on a variety of opacities and blend modes. dont be afraid to smudge your art!! and sometimes guassian blur can be really useful as well c:

are there any specific methods of how you make your art?? its rlly pretty and inspires me to implement the soft charcoal look to my artstyle ^^ im just curious to see how you make it all unite together if that makes sense. no pressure tho!! love your art <3
